Levy should just take over as Chairman-Manager and fire himself if that too doesn't work out.

When we were flying with Redknapp (the start of 2011-12) we'd stuck with the same manager and players for a while. 10/11 all we bought were Van Der Vaart and Gallas, the year after we just got Adebayor, Parker and Friedel, we've got to give it time. Lots of time, have a lot of a patience.

No! Wasn't my first choice either but Jesus we need stability. Who would we attract? We're already regarded as a managers graveyard. The board need to back him (or sell out) but keep him in place to build.

All I want is the players to look like they give a fuck and do the simple things well. Today they couldnt control a ball, pass ball to feet, be strong enough, or beat the first man from a free kick or corner. That isnt Poch's fault

When Poch was appointed, we knew the style his teams play and could look at how long it took Rogers to make Liverpool flow nicely...
Most of us would surely have thought "Hey, let's look at how this is going at Christmas".

Patience is a lot easier to speculate about than actually do. Today was poopier than a baby after a curry, but heck, holding our nerve is the only way to progress. And the one thing we haven't done much of in recent times.

Also he's said it exactly how I saw it today :

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino:

"I'm disappointed and angry. I think we had a very bad day.

"We played very, very slow. We need to be more alive and play quick. We didn't create too much. We made a big mistake on the set-piece."

Clearly they werent doing what he wanted, his Soton team never played that slowly either. Its like the player's heads are still half stuck in the AVB era. This is gonna take some time sadly

Or we should get me. I did a Sherwood (left after one season at Spurs), went to Korea, left after 1 year there, then went mid-season to Charlton who were in the relegation zone of the championship.
First season - 6 (promoted through the play offs)
Second season - 4th with 63 points (every team had a mare so I qualified for the CL), lost the first two games conceding 9 goals to Swansea and Chelsea. Won the FA cup.
Third season - solidified, won the league undefeated, also won the CL, FA cup and the LC, lost the community shield though.

What a load of rubbish, it's the players to blame for today, shameful not because we played poorly but because there was no effort, seriously though how can some one want him out after 5 games

I feel for the guy. I said we needed a striker, we couldn't go into the season with just three, one temperamental, one misfiring and the other still to come through. We couldn't bank on Lamella suddenly coming onto a game, or Eriksen upping his game. We need a big clear out, and the players to comer in who can play Poch's style of play.

Personally I think we should be playing 3-4-3

Never wanted this guy and predicted in the summer that he'd be gone by Christmas. It's quite clear to me that we have made a BIG mistake in this managerial appointment. Bring on the haters now, the people who will call me a knee-jerker, but I know a man who is dead in the water when I see him and that is what I see when I see Poch. Also, notice how several pages from now over the next few weeks, the Poch out crew will begin to develop and grow as he gets closer to his inevitable sacking. This isn't a gag-post, the man is just not up to the job. Time will prove me right and we'll be back to where we started - looking for a new manager.

What a cunt

how many more times can we go round in this fucking circle? Hire a manager. Half the fanbase want him out after 5 games. Sack him for not getting top 4 in a league with 5 much richer bigger clubs than us. Rinse, repeat.

I'm no levy hater, but the buck stops with the clubs owners. They had their chance to invest when we finally made CL and they blew it by not securing a top striker no matter the cost. I don't blame them for selling modric and bale as i feel the players forced that through but everything they've done since then has backfired in a massive way.

Look at the sides around us. We are on the level that Chelsea were before they almost went bankrupt and got rescued by Abramovich. We either need to take a huge gamble with the current owners (which they won't) or pray for a billionaire investor. Until then, it's best people start adjusting their expectations, because Spurs aren't going to magically become Manchester United (when they were good) just because you want them to.

Also, despite all of this, it might maybe, just maybe, help if fans in the ground actually supported the fucking team for 90 minutes. In some grounds the home side support gets louder and more urgent the more their team needs them. Ours go a goal down and 90% of the time it's a flat, toxic mess. Imagine how much the opposition players and fans must love that eh?

So who DO people want?
Poch isn't the problem here....
The cancerous defeatism and lack of a genuine winning mentality that has infested the club for decades is the problem....
Coupled with an indefinable superiority complex that we should somehow be competing for the Top 4 year in year out, when history shows we are upper-mid-table at best!

Right, if you want to make this pledge then quote this post the then write words to the affirmative that you agree.

I pledge to not knee jerk in any fashion after the first game of the season (Crystal Palace away).

If we lose, I am not going to over-react by saying we need to buy x amount of new players, that we are useless without Bale or ... SERIOUS RELEGATION FEARS

If we record a big win, I am not going to go nuts, talking up a title challenge, declare we don't need Bale because we have Andros Townsend , talking how Soldado was a STEAL at £26 mil and generally over egging the enthusiasm for the whole season based on one win.

AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN AS WELL

Whatever the outcome on Sunday, I will not use it as an indicator as to how our ENTIRE SEASON will pan out, as a knee-jerking bell-end might actually do so. It's just one game, and there will be 37 more.
