Mixed feelings re this season, started off not really expecting that much, but after the introduction of Harry, the demolition of Chelsea and Woolwich and a run of games where we showed great resilience and got last minute results, my hopes started rising. But since we got knocked out of Europe, lost the Cup Final, and had a couple of results where after dominating for the larger part of the game, we were hanging on for dear life, we seem to have gone backwards somewhat. Suppose that's a given with a new manager and an inexperienced team. I'm hoping that lessons will be learnt for next season, so we can really push on.

I've hit agree but I do think we have far more heart and more effort than previously. The efforts have looked poor and jaded due to fatigue and not knowing or not having the right lan/system at times.

When you look at United still in transition, City dropping off, Liverpool both of those, scum just doing the same-old; we're more miles off of them than before even though they're mostly worse than they were previously.

There is now a huge amount to do and get right to get back to where we were which was 4th/5th/4th/5th and only 5th by narrow margins.

Spurs fans expecting too much and moaning about every decision made at the club because they're qualified to make the decisions? really, record breaking headlines that. Football's getting harder and harder to enjoy as all anyone ever does is moan, no matter what cunts will find a way to bring everyone having fun down, like the twats that go to the lane sometimes that look at you like you killed a child when you try and get a song going, our fans wont be happy unless we're winning every game 7-8 nil and winning 3 cups a season, expect so much for a club that is doing pretty well for it's stature, can we not just enjoy being spurs, not every game is going to be played to perfection, that's every fucking team, no football team is perfect, some of the greatest teams in the world have off days and play poorly, That's fucking football, too many fucking statistic and Computer screen managers telling everyone about how a manager should set up
i am very much like my namesake

On the flip side how would they have felt with the knowledge that Adebayor, Soldado, Lamela, and Paulinho would combine for 4 total goals, our Captain would be benched in November, Aaron Lennon would be loaned out in January, and by far our most impactful signing would be a 20 year old who played under 25 games in the Portuguese league.

Who made the decision to loan out Lennon? And play Soldado for so long over Ade? Then completely drop both? And play Paulinho ahead of Dembele, Capoue and Stambbouli?

How can people bemoan things like that but not hold Poch somewhat responsible?

You are correct. Although, whoever is at the helm seems to have this canny way of making the situation difficult for themselves by trying to hard. making decision where sometimes decisions make themselves?

I and i guess other supporters want stability and Poch has that luxury . He seems to know what he is doing and so far has done well. Whoever is in charge will always give us a roller coaster ride. I would take where we are, at the moment before the season started, thats the only way I can be optimistic for the future.

Win a couple more home games and we would be right up there. Good form comes on the back of good results. Hopefully, this season lessons have been learnt and EL will not interfere with our league form.
I also feel some tough decisions need to be made with players in and out?

I have no issue with how any of these issues have been handled tbh. Lennon would have made absolutely no difference to the way the season has panned out for us. Ade put himself on the outer by refusing to buy into the game plan and was sorting his juju out in Togo, so poch had little choice but to play Soldado until kane emerged. Paulinho is no better or worse an option than Stambouli or Capoue (who i should add had also rejected poch's approach to the game), neither of whom have been convincing in albeit limited showings. Dembele, like Townsend, has been given the chance like kane and eriksen to cement their places in the side but didn't do enough.

The EL did not interfere with our league form, it simply provided an excuse.

I think we have toughest run in by far, if the home games aren't won we could end up 7th let alone 4th.

I don't think the players going out decisions are that tough in any way, except the loss of some of their transfer values making it hard for Levy to swallow.

Um none of those things have really happened though. Adebayor has three more league starts than Soldado. As for completely dropping both, I'm all for it as they are awful and Kane is the leading scorer in the league. Also, there has never been any indication in recent memory that our "head coach" has any power in regards to transfers. It seems unlikely based on history that he was the driving force behind the Lennon loan. At most he suggested it and the club agreed which could lead to a conclusion that something more was happening with Lennon than meets the eye as it seems unlikely the club would be desperate to loan Lennon.

Paulinho has two league starts. Capoue has 11, Dembele has 9, and Stambouli has 4. Pochettino was wrong to play Paulinho but as of now it was a one game mistake. He tried something out and it didn't work, unless he decides to stick with it I can't blame him massively for that. It was just one game and we drew while maintaining a clean sheet. I guess I just don't see the Burnley result as catastrophic. It's what happens when you lost relegation threatened sides in the last ten games of the season.

Ultimately my point was there is a lot of things going against Pochettino that he can't reasonably be accepted to salvage. Our signings from 2013 are damaged goods. Soldado, Paulinho, and Capoue are damaged goods and Lamela is trending in that direction. Pochettino smartly tried to get big and difficult personalties on his side by making Kaboul and Adebayor captain and Vice captain. Once he saw he made a mistake and they didn't repay his trust, he rectified his mistake. It's hard to blame Pochettino for the club choosing to spend £24m this summer too.

Pochettino has made mistakes this season has as any first year manager does. Our situation was a particularly difficult one to come into and he has rectified a fair few problems which finding others unsolvable. Many of the complaints I've seen were problems we had under AVB and Tim. Ultimately after this summer's cull we'll be in a much better position to judge Pochettino as there are just too many worthless or difficult players players at the club. We've seen what our future looks under Pochettino in the Chelsea and Woolwich games we just don't yet have the tools to fully realize that level of quality over a full season. Schneiderlin also said it took Southampton a full 12 months to fully understand and implement the system.

As it stands - AVB would remain as our greatest PL manager to date having amassed a remarkable 72 points, unlikely to be improved upon by Poch, and unsurprisingly so looking at our team sheet

I really like the latter but he needs the tools to implement his various ideas - Levy take note. Only 4-5 players in our current team are true Top 4 quality - the rest are sadly average semi-cloggers and common wage thieves. Eliminate the rot in June along with Baldini, well early into the window and bring the players HE wants
