Ex-Spurs Player Hugo Lloris

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

So you think that Levy spent a that ££ still thinking that Bale would stay ? I'm pretty sure he made the decision to sell hence the purchase of the Magnificent Seven
Think ur missing my point, even if that is the case if levy new the circumstances meant he had to sell he wasn't likely to come out and say so and then have every other club hold him to ransom knowing he had all the Bale money to spend.

I think people massively over simplify the job Levy has when it comes to club finances, player relations and transfers.

If it was as simple as people make out no one would ever sell their best players but every single club does unless they are a Madrid, Barca, Chelsea, PSG....

I think everyone on the planet knew that Bale was going once levy started throwing money about . It's how he operates . Balancing the books etc

By contract yup, my potentially having a sulking footballer on his hands nope.

I'm just saying that if levy thought he could keep prices down by pretending that Bale wasn't going anywhere then he's a tad naive. Once he started buying those players up it was clear that Bale was off.
Like Liverpool saying starlings not for sale when we all assume they are spending the money already.

All clubs take the same public stance when it comes to these situations. Naive would be to publicly tell everyone ur about to have 100m to spend.

That's the thing though isn't it ... We all knew Bale was off , as Sterling is , so who do they actually think believes whenever they say "player X is defiantly staying " yet spending money in a way which isn't the norm . It Hardly takes Sherlock Holmes to work it out does it

Thanks for your insight even if we don't agree on how the club is
being run . I enjoy posting which by most people's standards is very
limited and rarely engage in long worded "debates" as work must
come first . I sort of pop in and pop out .
I have known a far better time , so as in life l have expectations .
To achieve , to do things to the best of my ability but sadly
I see a disinterested owner and a tight fisted chairman but
I understand others see it differently .
The strength of any forum is we express conflicting views even
if we don't agree in a civil tone . How boring if it was censored and
became a "happy clappy apoligist board " , equally a " anti ENIC melt board " .
As the misunderstood Northern poet with the flowers said
"Heaven knows l 'm miserable know "
Thanks mate, quite understand. You're no longer just another name on here. Rightly or wrongly it will change my approach towards you here on out. :adebaehug:

No it doesn't. But then they are heads of multi million pound companies and we sadly are not so I'd have to assume there is a reason they still do it.

...captaincy used to be coverted and respected and it will be again with Hugo this season!

Blimey, Rooney will be livid that they take the armband off him so soon!!!
