Our direction under Levy!! Generally up, though recently level (along with our position in terms of turnover). Before Daniel average Premier league finish 12th, since ENIC took over 7th and in the last 10 seasons make that 5th

I'm reasonably confident we will get Berahinio purely due to the fact we are by far the best team that's likely to sign him in the next two or so years, he had a very good season last year and would do well to recreate that at WBA again, it's in his best interests to move up now and Pulls isn't the sort of manager to keep him around if he doesn't want to be. Would be a great signing for us as it covers up front and left wing if need be, adds a bunch of pace to our team which is something we ruddy need. Anywhere around 20 ish million would be fair imo, 24 maybe. That's the market we're in, 14 goals in the Premier league and being 21 and English makes this transfer a bit inflated but he's a classy player and proven in this league at such a young age. Also just read he's only on 15 grand a week, WBA could double that, we could easily quadruple it, the disparity between us and them in wages is similar to the disparity between us and Citeh. Really hopeful on this one.

I think it's time for you to stop being such a pessimistic cunt
Strong language to aim at a fellow Yid! .tell me, is there anything that could happen, or not happen in this transfer window that would cause you to criticise Levy ?.I mean anything. If so give me an example of something that would finally dislodge his cock from your throat . Reasonable question I think.

Austin is a chav, not just just a footballing chav but from a line of chavs. From Swindon, so I've heard a lot of stories about him, many not positive. Think he could be difficult to manage as in likes a weekend on the beer so don't think his attitude will have Poch clamouring for his signing. Also think he needs to play each week and would be better for someone like villa or Newcastle where he will get games.

That's one way of looking at it. Or you could say under 15 years of ENIC we've managed one league cup and not even a single FA cup final appearance. Making it the most barren 15 year period since the war.

Following on from that it's why I've never liked 1 up top as it's hard to keep more than one striker happy therefore the back up will generally never be of equal quality creating a problem if first choice (Kane) gets injured/loss of form/becomes Spursy whereas if we have 2 up top it's a lot easier to keep 3 good forwards happy through rotation/injuries etc.

Some real cracking finishes. Reminiscent of Defoe at times. Even an assist to Kane in that video too.

Something I've noticed in that video (which I hadn't really seen in Berahino before) is that he seems very quick at making decisions.

He doesn't dawdle on the ball on the attack, and has very little leg-swing to generate decent power on his shots.
That'd be invaluable to making us more dangerous on the counter.

And hey, a pacey player who already knows Kane fairly well on the pitch.
I'm sold.

Absolute cobblers. He is a great lad from a good family. He would be a dream to work with and a credit to the club.

I welcome the contributions from some of our more more distant supporters - indeed, where would we be without their insight and knowledge - 5th! I hear some of you cry - and that is so, but many of you are choosing to say that we were lucky - that the table does, indeed, lie, and our true position was nearer 7th - or god forbid - even nearer 8th.
This 5th place finish in a difficult league was seen as fortuitous - over 38 games - THFC somehow left it's incredibly loyal fanbase fishing for luckies. Astonishingly, some even saw this as a failure - as if champions league football would be secured at the first attempt, while simultaneously building a new stadium in a hapless manager's first season.

Many of these commentators have criticised the fans that do go to the ground - as if it's somehow their fault that the atmosphere is poor on occasion - this atmosphere would surely be improved by the compulsory attendance of our US, European and Australian supporters, but that is not going to happen - booing from the sidelines has sadly become the norm, and we need to really dig deep to make the transfer to the new stadium, a worthwhile, and enjoyable experience.

P.S. Pulled this really pretty media type girl tonight, who claimed to be 27, and was Bob Marley's greatest fan. We're listening to Toots and the Maytals now - and she's making cheese on toast. Isn't it sexy when a woman takes over your kitchen - she was unimpressed with the contents of my fridge though - well, tough. Amy says hi.

P.P.S. Fuck Tottenham.

P.P.P.S. Not really - I'm in the grip of a 27 year old woman who's questioning my devotion to a sorry football club - good for me - she'll be gone after the lunchtime session - or not. Either way is good. She's super lovely.
Sausages. TELL ME THERE WERE SAUSAGES!!!?

I doubt Berahino is our first choice by a wide margin.

He is good, but not significantly better than either Werner or Batshuayi. And Aubameyang would be much better than any of them (granted, that option seems to be the purest of red top bullshit).

There's not a lot of great options out there this year, and Pochettino would seemingly prefer no choice to a bad choice.

We'll see what happens.
Berahino not much better than Werner or Batshuayi? You must be joking? A young proven English lad who has shown he can score in the Prem compared -

A German lad still proving himself at a struggling Bundesliga team (and he's not a striker)

And a young lad who was sparingly used at Marseille last season.

The risk factor in signing the other two is huge. They would be signings based almost entirely on potential.

Berahino can, and will score goals in the premier league. It's as simple as that. The difference between them all is a chasm.

do the other 2 league cup final appearances change that youve forgotten change that?
cos it strikes me that under levy its been 1 cup final appearance every 5 years.
under sugar it was what, 1 in 8? I dont recall us reaching any others when Alan Sugar was in charge. happy to be corrected, of course.
