Except you just pointed out that he doesn't, he has a 1/2.8 ratio which is not as good. You've also decided to include all competitions, which generously includes, for example, the four goals he scored against Gateshead. He has 19 Premier League goals in 72 Premier League games - a ratio of 1/3.8, which isn't very good.

In addition, 5 of those goals are penalties, so if you wanted open play goals - something Roberto Soldado was much maligned for - that's 14 goals in 72 games, or 1 every 5.1 games. Forgive me for not being impressed to the tune of £25m.

Don't bother, I told him already but it obviously didn't stick. When talking about Timo Werner he used his youth national team stats instead of his league stats as well (as they sucked)
Don't know what the agenda is really.

If you're going to look at the stats for a striker that plays for a relegation battling side then sure chance conversion is better than goals per game? If you play for a shit team then of course the number of opportunities you have to score in those games is greatly reduced compared to someone like Diego Costa or even Harry Kane.
I say this with no knowledge of what berahino's numbers are for this and they could well be dogshit. But 1 goal in 3 games for a shite team is probably the same as 1 in 2 for a good one.

I'd maybe make one more bid for Berahino of £20m, maybe £22m. If they don't accept then look elsewhere. I wouldn't be against bringing in Austin to play with Kane and bringing back Defoe for cover.

But I reckon if you called WBA's bluff they'd cave in. They have spent a lot of money for a club of their size and have brought in 2 strikers, I think they have been expecting to sell Berahino but are just trying to get as much as possible for him, which is only fair as we'd do the same.

More than likely we will now get a story released of us moving on to a new target, let WBA stew for a few days with an unhappy player, then return with a slightly improved offer.

HELP NEEDED

I have a family wedding on Saturday. I only have one suit. It is a great suit, but it is looking rather tired as I wear it ALL the time. There is a nice suit I have seen in Debenhams for £250.00. Not as good as my loyal suit, but you can't just have one suit can you??

Anyway, I went to Debenhams yesterday and told the assistant that I want the suit but I am only going to pay £180.00 for it. She told me to fuck off. Any ideas what I should do? I am running out of time for Saturday. Shall I just pay the whole £250.00 as I cannot just rely on one suit, soldier on with my old suit and hope it lasts for ever or wait until the end of August and see if Debenhams will relent on the price then?

Rent a suit. Probably get one for £30.

Thanks and whilst I can understand your frustration I see it more as an unfortunate truth for the time being. So it's simply just enjoying the good parts of a less than ideal situation. However I think you've missed one thing, every club apart from 2/3 clubs in the world will ocassionally lose their best players. We will slightly more often than those above us but it's just something that people need to accept is part of modern football. I mean look at United, they've about to lose De Gea and they lost Ronaldo. There's a food chain and if you're not at the top then you'll be screwed, of course we're further down than them but even so, climbing a bit won't mean we necassarily keep any of Jan, Eriksen and Lloris if the big ones come calling.

Furthermore we've done a great job of hanging onto our best players for a (relatively) long while now and I think it's a lot to do with how well our squad gets on with each other. Having so many players of a similar age who all seem to have a good attitude can only mean our squad is closer than most, especially with so many having been part of the same acadmies, so that's a huge positive of our current project.

Our best player/s aren't really as good or as desirable generally.

Lloris is, at GK turnover can be slower than outfield. A few of the big boys have decided they want top new keepers at the same time so a bit more urgent now.

Kane most likely is but, after just one big breakthrough season it will be next summer the big bucks and chase really comes in if he repeats it.

Jan and Eriksen are daisies, some days they do some days they don't.

"I have deliberately taken time to keep quiet to gather my thoughts, and here they are. Let me hasten to add that if you have grammar intolerance please stop reading now, as I frankly don't give a damn of how my words are put together, as long as I believe my point has got across. If this sentence is one of a delinquently challenged then so be it.

I have gone through a lot of personal trauma that has resulted in the lost of a couple of my siblings in the past couple years, along with my wife who was diagnosed with cancer and thank fully in remission. She is my all in all and best friend.

I have been supporting THFC since early 1960's. Privileged to be involved in the game through my business, though not on a daily basis. I was also a scout for the club few years back, and will not disclose more than that. I have scouted and recommended players to clubs, some offered contracts and made a name for themselves in the game. My family are to a point involved at many levels, along with close connections at the club.

I can attest to having strong close relationships within the club, and have shared that with some, and have pictures and more to prove it. At almost anytime I have free executive access to most games which I do not always take up. I have been in meetings with players, agents etc, and cannot divulge a lot for those reasons.

When I share I learnt few years back to stop saying 'done deal' etc, as it comes back to haunt you. I therefore use vague words or hints. I have been warned to be very careful what I share for a lot of reasons. One thing I have never done is lied, embellished or similar. I have shared honestly and with a clear conscience.

I was the first one from memory to expose the signing of Dos Santos, with blow by blow. First one to share the a runtime and place of David Bentley's signing. First one to share Steffen Freund coming back in coaching role. First one to share about USA involvement etc with the stadium. First one to hint about the roof a give away.

First one to put nads on the line that Hugo Lloris would give it one more year, when the populace was he was going.
I was in the company of certain staff members who told me DM was sorted, and I shared that and got pillared. I could continue, but believe you get my points.

I have always shared in honesty. I will take time to reflect if I will continue to do so, and cannot promise I will continue to contribute, as every word is dissected, to the point if I share an opinion out of frustration that is also ridiculed by some.

I am not in a good place as I try to preserve my business and also a caution to attend court for personal matters. Factor that in with my family problems and losses, which is a very hard time for me. If you believe I am a attention seeking, I honestly do not give. Flying f**k what you think, as I cannot be bothered to listen or respond to your constant p**s take at my expense.

I do not swear, but this has pushed me to an area of hurt, especially under my personal circumstances. You do not know what people are going through, and to some a forum like this allows them to escape for a while. I use to enjoy those moments, but no more. Very sad to what is happening to this forum. I do not belong to another, and do not use twitter.

Please take note that I will not be saying anything more, or responding on this thread. I have said what I wanted and felt needed to say to vindicate myself. These are very hard times for me and I WILL get through.

PS: I felt the need to address this in thread of its own, and apologise if you think my motives are different. AG thank for your kind words 'marmite'. I honestly appreciated your words as I do try to accept the right criticism, accepting my communication skills needs work."

Well fuck me.....

It's all been pretty much covered I guess, this guy seems to care far too much about this forum and have enough about himself despite not being on Twitter. Which is odd. Also seems very desperate to prove to us all his background and although telling us how much he doesn't care what we think anymore, he cares enough to feel the need to detail family tragedies.

If people really are going to this length to be known as ITK then it only shows how small people's lives are. If any of the things regarding his family are true then first off my thoughts are with him, but in the same breath, if any of it fabricated well....
