The Soldado admission was frankly ridiculous. Clearly Poch is not following party line by stating that in public, which makes me think he's not a happy camper...

And when people demand signings and get pissed off because YET AGAIN the manager is not being backed, they are told to "fuck off and support Chelsea".

I would actually piss myself if Poch got up and walked on September 2nd, citing broken promises as the reason.

For all his faults, I want him to be able to show us what he can do with HIS players.

Isnt that what 99% of people wanted last season? Claiming we can only judge this season when Poch gets HIS squad....

"We have worked very hard in the last six months to identify our targets, to have a clear idea and picture, we analyse and assess all the situations to deliver in the summer," said Pochettino.
"You know you do not have much time to decide, the holidays are coming and we need to be ready to take the decisions"
"We have three games left and when we have finished the season, then in this moment we can explain our plan. We have a plan and we have a target, but the most important thing is we have to deliver and move forward."

Thats from May. Six months at that time goes back to NOVEMBER. Yet here we are, waiting til deadline day and still missing out on those identified. Or does it take ten months to sign 3 players?

Heres my response to that at the time...

Encouraging words from Poch....he definately wants to succeed. It will be very interesting to see how his approach changes should he get the players he wants.
One thing which really pleases me is that he knows we have to really improve and move forward.
Stark contrast to what his most ardent backers are saying, ironically.

The case is still the same bar Toby as far as Im concerned. People can throw in all the potential they want, and all the Lamela stats in the world.

The manager has been let down....again... you know it, I know, and he knows it.

After a potential 9 points have passed by? It's hardly a good plan is it? And to top it all off the position we need to fill is rather important & every man & his dog knows this which gives the selling club the upper hand.

If any other Premiership club with aspirations were in the same boat , we'd find this hilarious.

I find it fucking astounding that there are people on this forum who still think "it is not the end of the world we only have one striker" and "Levy will work his magic in the next few weeks".

Jesus christ, no other PL team would start the campaign with one striker. Especially as Poch has stated that he knew Kane would be tired after the summer.

I fucking despair sometimes.

I think it's genuinely tragic you don't understand tongue in cheek ! Someone asked me why business had been left for the last two weeks like I'm supposed to know so I gave a witty response

I might have believed you if you hadnt said this....
I still think we will have an excellent transfer window, we got rid of a lot of rubbish for decent prices and brought in some much needed defensive reinforcements we look nailed on to keep Lloris Kane & Erickssen. Levy made a point of saying that the rest of our business would be done in the last couple of weeks of the window after we signed Toby , the last couple of weeks arrive and we sign Njie and bid a lot for Berahino I'm not sure what people are complaining about at least wait for this window to conclude

I disagree I think that Berahino has a price tag and it hasn't been matched I don't think it bloats because Spurs need a striker.

I also think there are many clubs around Europe desperately trying to sign players until the last minute. Woolwich and Man U and even City probably need another striker still I don't worry to much and don't really think it's what's cost us thus far this season

So if City or Utd come in for him, and are willing to pay 25M, our messing around since last winter (when Poch has confirmed we identified our targets) would have had no effect on the price being driven up?

The first time he was linked, in the January window, people were talking about 12M.

We'll agree to disagree one the 1st point

2nd point ... I'm sure many other clubs do ,but ( I honestly have no idea to the answer) can you name any club in the top flight, maybe the top 2 tiers of any league in the world that has only 1 recognised striker?

Anyone with an ounce of common sense knows that is the truth but if he actually come out and said it it would be hissy fits galore amongst the fans

I personally like the truth, so would say fair play to him and get off his back.

I liked it when Sherwood told the fans the club was littered with players with no heart that didnt give a shit too.
Id prefer that to be said, than to be told the manager is happy with his squad, and sit there wondering why 50% of it unused and then sold.

But it doesn't matter the price people are talking about does it son because all of that is bollocks what matters is the price Brom want. If City and Utd enter the fray then the price will rise with the demand because an auction can then be conducted but that's not the case. It's a case of West Bromwich not wanting to sell their best players unless a massive fee is agreed and has little to do with what we need Imo

Yes but you are naive enough to believe that we would have had to bid 22M if we made him our priority target and started negotiations the minute the season ended. I reckon 18M would have done it back then.

NO I AM NOT ITK OR UNDER LEVYS DESK. I JUST RECKON. ITS JUST A THEORY AND OPINION.

Of course the price goes up two weeks Into the season.

WBA need to replace him. There is a price to pay for that. You forget its us who are desperate, not them.

Ironically I think we can assume no other club in for Berahino as we are the only team that would wait this long for no reason

Surely if there was opposition things would step up? Surely this is why Levy is slow playing it, sadly while we drop points but must be why
