Exactly, and this is the whole point. It's no longer the melts who are angry. It's gone beyond that now. Levy can't get away with the bullshit anymore. I would be very surprised if he doesn't see a backlash this season, especially if we have a run of bad results and Poch gets shafted.
There will be a backlash if our points tally doesn't start picking up very quickly. Teflon Dan will do his usual "sack the manager" routine pointing at the poor run of results & we are back to square one. The truth is almost everyone is wise to him now- fans, managers & chairmen. We unsettled Schneiderlin before making an unacceptable offer last summer. We have unsettled Berahino & Wanyama in this window before making unacceptable offers. Now we will end up ditching Poch if he doesn't start getting results, whilst Levy balances the books & takes his hefty bonus. It will be interesting to see how Poch manages the players he has & if he can get our season up & running. I'd really like him to succeed, but I do fear that he is only a couple of bad results away (& a thrashing at one of our rivals) from the boot. It may be melting, but fuck it...it happens so regularly with that bald bastard that it has become a very bad joke.

Levy cannot see long term. He thinks he wins the battles, which he can't even manage now, but in reality he consistently loses the war.

I've said many times Levy is like Gordon Brown, he's a tactician not a strategist. He's brilliant acting on his feet and fighting small battles here and there but he always struggles with the bigger picture.

Taking some positives and reading that post then yes the squad is stronger and we have kept our best players. We do need back up and would rather have kept Soldado over Adebayour if there was a choice. Adebayour is now in the last year of his contract and if there is a way back for him (and squad no) then we may get some more effort from him and if not then he is gone next year.

We know what we have to play with, so lets see what the season brings

It seems Jeremy Peace has been the suicide bomber of the transfer window here and really has put Levy in the shitter

Levy didn't account for the fact there would be a chairman out there more belligerent than him who is willing to have left the window with no money and an upset striker

Levy should have had back ups or never messed around over what is probably a couple of million in the first place. It did not have to be Berahino, if the price was too high and Peace a cunt fine, where were the alternatives? we should have had 3 on the list

15 years ago I went up Tottenham Court Road looking for a camcorder, I went from shop to shop haggling until I got a good deal, If I went into one shop and only wanted one camera what chance of leverage would I have had? They knew Levy was desperate

If you had walked up TCR a bit further, on the junction of Oxford street, you would have got a deal for Austin with a street vendor.
Half the asking price, twice the player, no guarantee. Sometimes you have to go with gut instinct, or even form would be nice. I'm sure the clubs recruitment dept gets its ideas from this forum, big fuckin mistake.

Saw some stats an hour ago, we have had a negative net spend over the last 10 years combined, west Brom have had a £40m net spend this window alone. We now have the 12th lowest wage bill in the league. All this despite the club being the 13th richest in the world, and joe Lewis being the 4th richest owner in the league.

The clubs being run for profit and not for success.

Sad
People say net spend means nothing. They say it`s used just as another stone to throw at EnIC. They say some of us are obsessed with it. Well, when we face at least half a season with only one recognised striker, don`t have that much needed DMF after starting the season with 3 points from 12, and then see us outspent by the likes of Bournemouth, Watford, West Brom and many others, i think it`s only right that ENIC`s net spend policy should be questioned. After all, if all these clubs can finish the window with a positive spend in excess of 20million, then surely we could have done more to strengthen these key positions. Why are people trying to excuse the inexcusable fact that ENIC are only interested in lining their own pockets

It's simply not true that a player that plays EL on Thursday can't play PL on Sunday. You should avoid having the same 11 play two games a week, but allowed some players to do so, while using the squad well, should be no problem.

We have plenty of AM options, so having to play an AM as a striker every now and then would be no problem.

Mason did well as AM, Dembele has been great, Eriksen and Chadli we know are quality, and then there is Pritchard and Son.

Our attacking options are fine.

And we've strengthened our defence.

We have a better squad than last season.

We only have one striker

We only have one DM

We do not have a better squad than last season

We still have Pooch

Reasons to be cheerful Pt 3

Anyway, whats the latest on Adebayor. Is he still here ? If so, will he be integrated back into the squad ? After all, he`d be playing for his next contract wouldn`t he.

Am I the only one not bothered about berahino ...njie, chadli, son will cover if needs be ...I'm more annoyed we didn't get a combative midfielder , some steel and experience in the middle I would have preferred we spent £22 m on Kramer or bender or someone of that ilk
