Might get slated for this as he is a Woolwich player... Would anyone take Oxlade Chamberlain?

I think he's a good player, a lot of potential but Woolwich don't use him enough. Granted he'd have to win us all over and Woolwich would have to do business with us.

He's very poor and has regressed since joining them. He'll end up at Palace or Newcastle along with Gibbs and Walcott in a few years
 
Seen a growing number of reports suggesting Benteke is going to be made available. Could be lazy journalism but it does make sense.

I would still be happy with him signing for us, whether he'd be happy is another thing but he's stock will have fallen enough for a club like ours to negotiate a squad position.

The bloke is still quality, it just isn't working out at Liverpool.

If he's deemed not to suit Klopp's system I don't see how he'd suit Poch's either. What's he like in terms of pressing and work-rate? (Honest question, I haven't really paid enough attention to him to know)

Isn't Benteke's problem that he's not doing enough running and pressing, under Brentan and now under Plopp. Can't see him doing it with us either. Shame as before he signed for the Dippers I'd have taken him in a heartbeat.

This again. His work rate is decent at best. But that's not the issue for me. Even if Poch (or Klopp) was able to make Benteke work harder, it wouldn't work. He'd just run around like a headless chicken. He just doesn't have the football intelligence required to play in a fluid system and that's both defensively and in attack. He's an absolute monster when he's allowed to be fairly stationary and balls are pounded towards him, without a shadow of a doubt, but anyone suggesting we should buy him, haven't actually been looking when the ball's on the floor and he has to move into space.

I seem to remember at Villa he was a workhorse off the ball but it would be fair to say he isn't exactly looking the part at Liverpool.

Maybe he needs a new lease of life.
 
What about taking Idrissa Gueye Gana from Villa as a back up DM. I think he has potential and is in a team low on confidence and ability atm.
He has plenty of ability and despite playing for Villa still does very well. Has stamina, good with the ball and can tackle. Creates a lot of chances and plays it forward a lot.
Ain't going to happen but I think he's quite a decent player in is position and could get better in the correct surroundings.
 
Kante is supposedly wanted by Woolwich. Wenger reckons he, and others, had been monitoring him since he was 10.
Yet Woolwich missed that one and chose to resign Flamini?

2014/15 out of the 88 forwards to play at least 5 games in the PL, he was 78th in interceptions (pr. 90 min), 77th in tackles made.

2013/14 out of 86, he was 81th for interceptions and 84th for tackles.

2012/13 out of 78, he was 61st and 55th.

No offence, but you remember wrong, or were mistaking unintelligent running about as productive output.
