Leicester really look like they will do it. 7 points clear, 6 to go. Their football though, result oriented as it is, is the worst I have seen from a top 10 team in 20 years, on par with Stoke under Pulis. Underdog or not, this is catenaccio 2.0 at it's worst. I get the heart on the sleeve thing, but my love for the football and the beautiful game calls for more being crowned Champions of England. Previous Champions have like Chelsea last season and previous versions had games where they weren't excellent, but this is a different level and cannot be compared. Rivalry aside, Chelsea deserved to win last season, as the league's best team. Mostly, those teams were the better teams in their games. This year, it's different. They look like a Championship team on steroids on their wave of their lives. I would not have cared that much had Spurs not been in this position, but losing the title to them would hurt a lot, as much as Spurs' own season has been fantastic.

Watching them win is like putting spikes in my eyes and makes me as happy as Greece did in 2004.

Astonishing run Leicester are on. Quite amazing and were it Chelsea or United who did exactly this a few years ago we would be marvelling at the defensive organisation.

They run hard, are dogged and are taking all the luck that is undoubtedly on offer.

Makes me sick but you have to have some distant admiration.

I see where you come from, but for me - it's a no - there isn't more admiration from me for them than for Stoke under Pulis.

I don't want them to win football games.

Wishful thinking but apart from the Chav game we can win 5/6 games left which means 77 points
Leicester will draw at Sunderland
Draw at home to Pileys
Win at home to Swans
Lose away to Manure
Draw at home to Everton
Lose at Chavs
A total of 75 points
Ok it's time for my medication boys

Sorry to burst your bubbles, but at the end of the day, as much as you might hate how Leicester are winning the title, we simply don't deserve to win it.

All that bullshit about being the better team, or best team in the league, but we have not been able to best any of the tougher teams in the league. Liverpool, Woolwich, Everton, Chelsea, Stoke, United and of course Leicester themselves. We had one victory against the Spammers but that's it. Bring up City, but they are a joke. Haven't beaten anyone worthy of speaking about at all.

So, cut the bullshit.

We've done phenomenally, but for this year, not good enough. I think we will have the chance again and again, because we will get better and have a strong core. Now we need to focus on keeping second. That would be great.
We have done well, and we have done good enough. What is 'not good enough' about what this squad has done this year?
As anyone who wasn't totally insanely optimistic I never thought we would have a chance of CL football this season. Not with this squad.
I expected Liverpool to get the 5th spot and another year of getting the team to gain fitness, adjust to tactics and settle after MP had assessed the players and cleared out those who were not up to it.
I do agree we have to concentrate on us and the title talk was bollocks. It would be more of a fairytale for this team to win the title than LCFC. They have a core of players who have been together a few years, Vardy, Mahrez, King, Drinkwater, Schmeichel, Morgan, Schlupp, the Polish Rugby player. etc
Oh, and especially they have spent near on £50m over the last 2 seasons net and we have spent nothing.

Basically our first team is made up of 14 players, 3 who joined in 12/13, 3 in 13/14, 4 last season and 4 this.
Kasper has made 193 apps for LCFC Hugo 153
Wes morgan has made 175 apps, 3 less than our most experienced league defender Kyle walker.
Our longest serving player, Mason, has made 55 apps, Their longest serving player, Andy King, 291.
Drinkwater has made more apps for LCFC than any of our current players, bar Walker.
Vardy has played more games than any Spurs player bar 4, Walker, Hugo, Jan and Moussa. Schlupp is still just 23 & has played as many games for LCFC as Eriksen has for us..

I would say after todays result, that we'd need to win our remaining 6 games. Not going to happen, but great season regardless.

Personally, with Leicester winning today I think, for the first time since early in the season that we wont win the title, they will. 7 points is too much. Unless them knowing this suddenly makes them lose form, which could happen, then they will go on to win it. I think they've beaten us. It's disappointing, I really thought we were going to win yesterday and keep the pressure on. But you never know, we'll see what happens in the remaining games. If Leicester do win it, they deserve it. It looks likely that we'll be in the CL next season, and that is more than expected at the beginning of the season. I think we will challenge for the title again next season, and that alone is incredibly satisfying. We have a great team, manager, club.

Yeah, I think all Spurs fans simply hope Leicester capitulate now. No sign whatsoever that they will. Yep they are also getting bits of luck but are they taking full advantage? Too right they are.

If I were Ranieri and if it wasn't for the fact they will be in the Champions League next season I would walk away because it will never get as good as it is right now.

All we can do is get as many points as possible. If we get 75 points I still think that will do it but that's an ask. Win all 6 and we will still win the Premier no question at all in my mind.

.
Nobody outside Spurs gives a bollocks that they spent only £50 million in 2 years , peanuts in this day and age.
Our Argentine Messiah has performed a miracle to achieve top 4 , building a first 11 which is very talented , a young team of genuine quality. God bless him.
Our board/owners behaviour has been criminal in going a whole season with 1 striker . A bit of micro Investment may have made the difference .
Who needs enemies .

I just hope the lads don't let their heads drop because of the seven-point gap. Hopefully the fact that our next match is United at home will be enough of an occasion to keep the adrenaline up nicely. That could be such an important match to stay above Woolwich and solidify top four.

Who knows what might happen next weekend. It's possible (though unlikely) that we come away from it with only a four point gap to make up. Football can be a crazy thing.

Also, by the by, I think Leicester are pure shit and get out-played every match. Southampton absolutely dominated them, just like we did, yet they score a scrappy counter or corner. Despise them and have no admiration for them winning the title at all.

Some of the worst football I've ever seen a premier league side, never mind winner, play. Next year when they go back to mid-table I for one will be quite happy, especially as we'll be in contention for the title.

Whichever island you want to talk about that mentions just the one striker and I will join you. No doubt where we have fallen short on the last few weeks and that was only when we conceded the equaliser to Woolwich when they went down to 10 men.

At that moment we were top and Leicester still ad Watford to play and whatever pressure that would have brought.

Don't worry too much about today's result, they were always winning this one. Keep in mind that City were 8 points off top with 6 to go not long back !

I still think we can get 13-15 points from the last 18. Let's say 13 points to allow for a defeat and a draw. Then it would mean Leicester need 7 points ( 2 wins and a draw from 18 ) Optimistically I don't think They will win any of their last 3 games, so they need those points in the next 3 games I would suggest.

Although it looks unlikely now.....one slip up and who knows.....I've always said that we need to be within touching distance with 3 games to play. That simple. If the gap is between 3 & 6 points into the final 3 games. We can and will still win this.

But if I am mental and widely optimistic let's hope that we don't give it all up now and fall to 3rd or God forbid 4th and at least we can avoid another St Scum Cunt day, even if we do come second :)

It's not over yet chaps. Still a potential swing, this won't feel as bad if we do win next weekend and they don't...gap of 4 points with 5 to play.....feels a bit more positive I'd suggest.

Keep the faith.

I feel the oppersite. The presure is off us, now we are not in the running. We seem not to perform weĺl when the stakes are high. Today was the turning point, they are almolst there and organising the party. We will play the season out, playing without presure, enjoying our football and hpefully go unbesten. Its not over but its almost?

*something something* Joke about Man City winning the league from further behind *something something*
I've noticed today that the BBC have helpfully pointed out that ON THIS DAY LAST YEAR, Leicester were bottom, and 7 points from safety (having just lost 4-3 to us) ....today, they are top, and 7 points clear...

Now I see what the BBC are trying to do... " A year is a long time in football, etc. Fairytale... blah-blah blah..." but what they have actually done is simply reminded Leicester that last year they actually managed to claw back those 7 points and stay up... and they were proper dogshit 12 months ago... if they can do it last year....?????

...So suddenly, 7 points doesn't seem to insurmountable, does it?

Good luck with that Mind Games fans!
