Poch has some sort of witchcraft when it comes to fullbacks. Clyne, Chambers, Shaw, Walker, Rose, Tippier and Davies all have been improved however fall back to average when not under his spell.
I wouldn't be too harsh on those first three though - they didn't just drop in quality, it also came after moving to other clubs (perhaps having to adjust to a different system).

Also, Shaw was looking good again before his leg break.

I think Pritchard is as good as gone. Doubt Poch would loan him out if he wanted him in the squad.
Pritchard is not going anywhere he loaned him out as he was just back from a bad injury and would not have time to get in to the team/squad this season.
Just a shame he chose to go WBA as it has not given him valuable match time.

I don't rate Schürrle highly at all. He's a very enigmatic player with tons of talent, but he disappears from a huge number of matches and isn't consistent at all. He burst onto the scene as a prodigy, but he just hasn't improved. Still the same player he was a few years ago, and he should be entering his absolute prime right now. 10 goals in 58 appearances for Wolfsburg just isn't enough.

Honestly, none of the Bruchweg Boys that burst onto the scene with that brillian Mainz team 2010-2011 have really met expectations since. Schürrle, Holtby, Szalai ... makes you think that maybe Thomas Tuchel and the structure that Klopp left behind was far more important than the names of the youngsters (see: Pochettino and what happened when his Southampton youngsters went to Liverpool without him and the club structure around them).

Also Draxler - DO NOT WANT. Hasn't looked anything close to the same since his injury, and really - since his breakthrough season at age 18, he hasn't been the same player ever again.

He's dangerously close to becoming the German Theo Walcott.

With the new owners - Martinez knows it's over in the summer and probably so do the players

They're essentuially on holiday already - doubt they'd offer much resistance vs Leicester

Out all year with injuries, and needing playing time to get back to fitness. He had no chance of breaking into the squad during the final run-in, so I think the loan made sense. But given his monster season at Brentford and Pochettino's on the record remarks about looking forward to giving him a chance, I don't see us cutting him loose without letting him show what he can do for us.

Just don't feel there's room for him.

Alli, Pritchard, Njie, Chadli, Son, Lamela, Eriksen, Onomah all fighting for 3 places. That's 8 people.

Even if we got into every single cup final we could, rotating the team constantly, some of those players wouldn't play any more than 10 games.

I'm unsure I agree...I agree he hasn't pushed on, but there is a good player in there.

A victim of Mourinho being a bit of a plank. He's work rate could be better but I suspect that, as with anyone, if you want it enough, you'll respond accordingly. No player will sign for us knowing that they have to put in serious graft unless that is what they are prepared to do.

Onomah can also spell at CM, and that might be his future. I think you're being a bit pessimistic about the number of games some will play though. These guys aren't really all interchangeable for each other. Son and Lamela are perhaps the most natural rotation pairing, but if we need to give Eriksen a rest, none of Alli, N'Jie, Chadli, Son or Onomah can really do much of the creative/passing work he does. Pritchard is the most natural fit for that, so he won't be ignored or fall through the cracks, I feel.

And also, with insurance against injuries, 8 AMs seems to be about the right number for our needs.

I think whatever logic you present, 2 of those players will either leave, go on loan or be dropped to CM (Onomah especially as you touched on, I've said before I think this is his role).

Chadli has barely featured and I can't see him being happy with this year.
