Oi I have full faith the Poch will bring in the right pieces and I don't think they'll be the obvious choices in this thread. I smell mls signings or maybe Australian league

Really, really doubt that. Neither have the requisite talent levels, especially for the positions we need. No point trying to find the impossible in North America when you've got Ousmane Dembele right in front of you.

I think whatever logic you present, 2 of those players will either leave, go on loan or be dropped to CM (Onomah especially as you touched on, I've said before I think this is his role).

Chadli has barely featured and I can't see him being happy with this year.

I wrote a semi-long post a week or two ago. Our squad is effectively 23 players this season, and Poch is on record with wanting a 25-man squad. So claiming anyone necessarily will leave, when we're actually short in numbers has no basis in reality.

You know, I'm starting to think we don't really need anyone. Maybe just buy some young talent again. Our team is brilliant, it would take something special to improve it. The squad we have with players on the bench already, Son, Wimmer, our fullbacks, Chadli, Son, Mason, etc. and the likes of Clinton as well, it's hard to see the point in bringing anyone in unless they are either world class already, or young and promising to become world class one day. Key injuries aside, I don't see why we can't challenge for the title next season with the players we already have.
And Pritchard. Like a new signing. ;)

Probably French media BS, can't see us spending £30m+, but who knows? Would certainly price the Spanners out surely that sort of money?

L'Equipe: Michy Batshuayi keen on Tottenham Hotspur switch, Spurs willing to pay £31.5m for player

Tottenham appear to be the front-runners in the pursuit of the player.

Reports in France today are suggesting that Tottenham Hotspur are the frontrunners to sign Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi – after weeks of speculation linking the club with the player.

L’Equipe is reporting[/a] that Spurs are in the lead for his transfer – despite interest from Juventus and Premier League rivals West Ham and Liverpool. Batshuayi is said to be keen on a Spurs transfer, ahead of the other interested parties.

Mauricio Pochettino is said to be a big fan of the player and Spurs are ready to pay €40 million (£31.5 million) for the player. Marseille are insistent that if they sell the Belgian striker that they will bring in more money than they did when selling Didier Drogba to Chelsea in 2004 – this fee would do that.

Tottenham are after a new striker to alleviate some of the pressure off of the shoulders of current number one striker Harry Kane.

Batshuayi has been in good form this season. He has netted 20 goals this season and provided 10 assists for Marseille – despite the club’s inconsistent form in Ligue 1 this term.

The 22-year-old is under contract at Marseille until 2020 and it seems that this is bumping up his price – but L’Equipe believe Tottenham are willing to pay the fee.

Marseille are in total collapse, it would be very hard for them to get that kind of money for Batshuayi. If they could still offer Champions League football they might have had leverage, but since that isn't happening, they just need to hope Levy uses lube.
