For years we've tried to run the site in a way that allows people to "express themselves" but ultimately continue using the site. How naive we were. Clearly there's a reason every other forum operates under rules that lead to permanent bans. That reason likely being that people on the internet tend to act a bit weird.

Current red cards will remain until they expire. All yellow cards have been removed from users with them and Foul Votes reset.

The yellow / red card system will stay in place as a way to report content and warn users. Yellow cards can now be considered a "warning". A red card results in a permanent ban.

The forum admins will also be taking more of a role in issuing yellow & red cards and removing the privileges from users who like to do things like abuse the ratings system.

So there you go. The toys are out the pram. Let's see if this works.

We look forward to ignoring any questions and posts like "___________ was banned, why isn't ___________ banned???!"

TFC is dead. Long live SC....sorry, TFC.

If the system is so shit and the forum is run by a complete c*nt, who clearly has an agenda and lets the site get overrun by "multis" who ruin the place for everyone... then it begs the question...

Why are you still here?

If I went to a pub and the beer was shit, all the punters were dickheads and the owner barred me for "nothing", I'm not sure I'd go back.

What usually seems to be the case is people are here because they've been banned from other Spurs forums. So at what point do you look at yourself and think "shit... maybe I'm the problem?"

Me on this site after a few months.

Admin Admin has basically gone the way of my parenting approach. I tried to be progressive and open-minded, allowing my kids freedom and respecting their right to reason etc … but that was a fucking car crash so now I operate a North Korean style dictatorship where no alternative opinions are tolerated and any bad behaviour is met with strong and immediate punishment.

Going forward, to save everyone from these sort of investigative enquiries into the reasons anyone has (or hasn't) been binned/banned, please simply refer to the following gif.

Quick question (feel free to ignore). Will this new 'perma ban rule' apply to previous postings or from postings made as of, well, now?

I just need to know before I dedicate x amount of hours/days/months in deleting old shit.

Cheers admin!

Can some cunt at least tell me the fucken rules?
1. You can't say cunt
2. You can't be Scottish
3. Your username is not allowed to include meat based foodstuffs
4. Your username is not allowed to reference any characters from the Quentin Tarrantino feature film Pulp Fiction
5. Your username may not contain any more than 5 vowels
6. You must not be able to make the words vice or gaussian with the letters in your username

I grant you there are some pretty random rules, but such is the life within the New Cock Order.

It was nice knowing you gaussianvice.

This is a tricky one. If we use Sammy (who's asked for his account to be closed btw) as an example. It was his posting style that got him a red card. People voted for him a lot because of his relentless posting in various Spurs threads about similar points. I rejected loads of votes because his posts were clearly about Spurs. However, there comes a point when that style of posting becomes an issue.

So how should that be handled? I'm not sure yet.

Rule of thumb?

If they agree with me. Fine
If they disagree with me. Ban.

Why would the word foreign be replaced by the word black?

Don't get that logic at all.

Unless you are implying the word foreign is in some way racist?
Why? Its a simple usage of reductio ad absurdum.

The word foreign isn't racist obviously. But by calling someone a foreign fucking prick, you are implying them being foreign is a problem, why else does it appear? It sounds xenophobic, even if the author did not intend it.

The same way calling someone a fucking cunt is fine (if slightly rude) but add the word black in front of it and it sounds pretty racist

I've just been looking at CT's first entanglements with myself since I've been on this forum, and Chicken consistantly took shots at me initially, and said some pretty outrageous things which I didn't really react to, just took the piss a bit back, and it was only recently I actually started getting stuck into him because he used my niece's cancer to throw shade at me and even then my comments are still nowhere near the levels that he started his beef with me. So i gave him some back. Like i said, if you can't take it don't start shit with people.

His first ever post aimed me after I made a completey harmless post. I can't quote directly as it's from the toilet thread.

"Interesting new tactics in other threads. You're an insidiousness pathetic example of a human being."

So eventually after a couple of stabs at me I respond with this.

And I get this back amongst many others.

So i'm a murderer apparently.

I'm a liar who fabricates stories about young family members having cancer.

A sex tourist.

My girlfriend is a whore apparently, even though she's doing a PHD at university and comes from a very well to do family.

I'm a Boris fan apparently, so this is clearly political (which we all know anyway).

Lots more, but the guy kept attacking me and I even offered to have a truce but he kept going, and I still to this day haven't sunk as low as him, and that's without me mentioning him talking about SSY's kids constantly and even calling them cunts.

This guy is rotten to the core, and went after me so eventually he got some back. But i'm a bully??

I don't think so.

I wonder what the straw that broke the camels back was. They’ve left it to police itself for a decade, something must have made them think twice about it. Perhaps the toxicity of the site was starting to negatively affect the podcast or some thing.

When everything changed, there were suddenly seven, eight, maybe even nine Ajax players flat out on the pitch, their faces buried into the turf, not wanting to see any more. Somehow, Spurs had done it and in those moments we were reminded, once again, about the glories of this sport, about how brutal football can be and how, every once in a while, there is a story that can make your bones vibrate.

I don't know, but it actually seemed quite dangerous at times. I recall at some point some members were staking each other's personal social media's, threatening each other's kids, posting photos of kids and spouses with threats to prove that they knew who each other were irl... Pretty fucked up stuff tbh

I'm a passive observer there so maybe it was all a big charade and part of their silly buggers games that was outside my context, but it struck me as pretty vile and actually dangerous

Yeah I used to be quite active on there when it first got started, eventually I had had enough of the constant flame wars that happened there. Some people seemed to absolutely revel in the chaos though. So I can definitely see that it would have gone the way you’re saying it has, lots of nasty characters on there who’ve been basically allowed to run riot. Doxxing is never a cool thing to do, like you say pretty dangerous and vile tbh. You can al,OST guarantee the same types doing that kind of thing will turn round and say “it’s just the Internet.”

One amusing thing did come out of it, in that one poster who had built up a persona of being an angry black man activist was outed as fat white guy who lived with his mum in some middle-england-shire 😂🤦‍♂️

“Jerry” is still on there constantly craving attention
Despite the rule change here, there remains a massive difference between TFC and SC.

TFC = over 10,000 posts and never had a yellow card,

SC = half a day, then permanently banned, for asking in all innocence if Rob, the owner, is the same Robbie who owns AFTV.

They have no sense of humour. Massive difference.
