I'm sorry the moment you said 'take a leaf from United's book' you completely lost me.

I do not believe that sacking Ange now be a good step, I'm sick of rush sackings by the club because we will get Ryan Mason as interim & I don't know what you remember of Spurs history but that is not a good thing. As bad as Ange may be he's better than Mason.

I can’t agree with any of that and Mason’s mum would be better than Ange

Get rid this weekend!

I think if we get knocked out of the EL next week, Levy is on the blower looking for a replacement, if he isn't already. We don't want to waste our pre season again looking for a new manager like we did with that saga that ended with Nuno.

You & I appear to be on the same page on this - I just don't want rash decisions.

I think Spurs could still win the EL. Once that happens, changing managers probably isn't going to be easy. His adherents will declare winning silverware as a grand victory that offsets everything that went wrong and we'll wind it up and go through all this again next year.

Well if he wins the EL he should keep his job , a trophy and CL qualification he deserves it . However he deserves to be fired now which makes it irrelevant, winning the EL should not be an opportunity he still has a shot at . I think Levy will stick with him until the end of the season though .

The glory of actually winning a trophy and the first European trophy since 1984 far outweighs any consideration about next season. No good Manager in employment will come at this stage of the season and Mason failed last time. Even if we get knocked out Thursday there is no benefit in replacing Ange with Mason.
I think Ange could still go in the summer irrespective of Europa glory and even more likely if a new Investor comes in.

Write down 10 reasons he should stay and 10 reasons why he should go , I'm guessing you'll get to 10 on the latter first
Even trying to be fair i honestly couldnt think of one reason for him to stay. The reasons that were given over the last few months, we're entertaining, the underlying metrics are good, he's a good bloke, the players are still playing for him have all long since bitten the dust.

Wheras he has 1 tactical idea which was largely worked out in November 2023, we're predictable and dull, we rarely beat any decent side, 1 home league win in 9, 46 pts from our last 38 league games, on for our worst league finish in 16 years possibly longer, no credit in the bank with us, players all getting worse apart from Spence, players have clearly stopped listening to him, possibly partly culpable for the constant injuries, he's not building anything and he's a bit of a bad tempered tosser.

Me neither , any credit he had for his first 10 matches in charge was dissolved when were 2-0 up against a bang average chavs side and we ended up with 2 players sent off and lost the game . We were also 2-0 up against Brighton and lost - he's been stealing a living ever since . You can say that we've only got beat by a single goal in all our losses except for the Liverpool games , but they're still losses . I've stood up for him in the past , when I'm travelling home with the points in the bag - after away wins against Man Utd , Man C$teh and more recently Ipswich . But it has to be said that he's far overstayed his credit limit .

Hindsight, yes, but who would have thought that of all the managers we have had over last two decades, Nuno was the one who should have been given time to build a team.

He does an extraordinary good job with Forest

I don't think you've quite understood (or possibly even read, by the sounds of it) my post; I was saying we should take a leaf from United's book by learning from their fuck ups, i.e extending ETH's contract despite the glaring evidence staring them in the face that he was utterly cooked as a manager in the PL and things were not going to get any better by letting him piss another couple hundred million up the wall on shite players to fit "his" system.

Who honestly cares if Ange goes now? We're pretty safe from relegation barring losing literally every single game we have left to play, and we have Southampton, Palace and Brighton at home before the end of the season, even Mason could pick up 4 points from that lot. Surely you don't see a universe where Ange is still our manager beyond the summer?

If he wins the EL then he will have to keep his job, just too awkward to sack him straight after breaking our trophy drought. It will be a Di Mateo at Chelsea situation, impossible to sack him even though everyone knows it will have to happen.
