I want to win trophies and see us play well throughout the season.
Don’t we all, but we need, to be realistic no? We won fuck all for 17 years? It’s not like we have been a club any where close to being dominant even pre to my time.
If you have any actual ambition for the club. Regularly finishing top 4 is the cornerstone for financial investment due to the money from CL. You could argue finishing 17th but winning the europa league every season is a 'strategy' too. But money = success so being a CL club consistently will allow us to build towards winning one of the two big trophies.
Under Poch, we had regular CL? Where was the success? We have a board who has consistency said they will not bank role us? And all that time in the CL, what the actual fuck did we win?

I think good cup runs and respectable league finishes (say top 8 at least) is realistic for us.
Decent cup runs? We literally, 3 days ago, just won a fucking European cup? Are you WUMING me? We didn’t have a run…. We came home with it…. A top 8 finish? Santos looks like finishing 8th, we binned him before he had a season… last season we ended up 5th, everthing u have asked for in 2 years we have got?

In two separate seasons, the first one where we only played once a week.

I don’t know how you can overlook our horrendous league form this season.

Why is expecting better than 17th too much to ask for?

If you’re firmly sure, you must surely have a better option? I’m all ears here.
Anyone is a better option. But if you want names my suggestion is one of:
- Oliver Glasner
- Vincenzo Italiano
- Kieran McKenna

The two first is used to have to balance the League and Europe. McKenna i guess is just my hope of us finding a new Poch.

My God he knows what to say, he’s amazing at that. That speech yesterday. Even though in my head I don’t think we’ll become great in the league next season, I can’t help myself but to believe.

I’ve changed my vote to Ange In, but it’s with an asterisk as I still don’t think he’s the right person long term.
The vote change is because it’s clear he wants to be here and the squad all love him so I think it would do a lot of damage to get rid now.
I think we should give him the start of the season and see how it goes. If league performance isn’t good enough by the November international break then part ways while there’s still time to fix the damage.

Let's face it. Levy will do what financially benefits him..we know he doesn't give a sh!t about the team...so long at profits keep coming in, he's happy..

I think if Ange is to make it work long term a few things have to happen.

1 new coaches. He needs to bring in coaches who coach off the ball movement, pressing and defending. Playing a high line doesn't make you concede more goals but if your press isn’t right you can be got at easily. Last season our press was a mess. Fergie used to bring in assistant managers who were good at different things just to evolve his team, take a page out of that. Without this we will always be Liverpool’s bitch.

2 Club backing. Proper backing, I mean Cherki, Eze, Corsoda, new Striker, LCB and maybe an elite midfielder of both Bentancur and Bissouma are off. To play as bold as Ange plays you need more elite players.

If the above two don’t happen I can see a mid season sacking as the league form was horrific.

Can't see any elite players coming whilst Ange is here...

Great points. I don't see either happening in reality though. Ange is stubborn and has his way of doing things. So that strikes out 1. We can probably write off option 2 as well.

He made the team play that final for the club , for themselves and for him and that’s a huge thing.
But when you watch analysis for Inzagi’s Inter or Enrique’s PSG that’s also a huge difference in the football movements and organization. If the club can add a new staff besides him, elites I can see his personality work with the team but without new coaching stuff he is still out for me.
