It’s terrifying that he could be given next season. Honestly though it wouldn’t surprise me. We have morons running the club. The penny probably won’t drop until we start next season under him just like we are now and are in a similar position in the table in October time. Then we will have yet another wasted season. It’s what makes supporting this club feel so futile and almost pointless at this stage.
I do not understand why you say that. Levy has a record of sacking Managers at the first sign of trouble. He is accused of having too many Managers in the time he has been in charge. Backing Ange despite our league position is against all his natural instincts.

Whilst I think Ange will get this season unless things do not improve, I think for him to turn it around to the extent that he is still in charge in August is unlikely.

A season of being scolded by a cranky old coach and terrible football. This isn't what I'd call "getting our Tottenham back". I doubt you'd be able to find anything resembling this horror show of a season in the team's history.

Fukkin hell this is the most disjointed thread it's a chimera of all sorts...

Last time i came here we had a discussion about the aims of the protest I come back to a shitshow - I love it but I don't have enough OCD to follow all the topics.

I did noticed there's now an undecided in the poll - was that always there?

anyways I think I'll come back here post Man U / Protest Game

The undecideds are basically hard core masochists who want to prolong their own suffering by pondering the question a bit longer.

I want success which means winning games and therefore winning trophies - I've had heated discussions with people
that dispute this fact - y'know the 'trust the process fans' but if a team doesn't win games they don't win trophies.

Ange will have had two seasons at the end of this one & he served Spurs well last season but it's fallen apart & even if he leads us to the Europa (which is possible) valid questions should be asked during his tenure - it's a shame I liked his approach & people applaud his non-fossil football (I like his tactics) but here's the thing Don Carlo has led Real Madrid to trophies using fossil-football? lot's of narratives but I rely on facts.

I know the PL isn't La Liga but La Liga Spanish fans are different to PL UK fans - La Liga fans treat every loss as a disgrace to their club - anyways it's late I'm tired :) I don't like to pretend I'm in players, owners or the managers head. I can only speak from someone who has watched EVERY spurs game religiously since FA cup final in 1991 (8 years old) I watched Italia 90 Gazza & Lineker were my lads back then.

I could take the slings and arrows while Man U & Woolwich dominated in the 90's - with Chelsea coming up in the 2000s also Man City & Liverpool who were a MUDCLUB but we WERE and should BE contenders. Personally if we aren't in a final of a cup then what's the fukkin point y'know?

We have to shine soon...

Just because it seems crazy he’s still in the job now and there seems so little appetite from within the club to let him go.

Six years ago the women had never won a game against a team in the top division. 5 years ago they got promoted to the Super League. Last year they got to the Cup Final, they are now maybe the "best of the rest" behind the 4 teams that dominate women's football. What they have done over the last 6 years shows they are making really fast progress. Personally I wish the club would invest a bit more to get them the 2 or 3 players that would allow them to get closer to that top 4. The money would be peanuts ... Keira Walsh cost Chelsea £500k and that is apparently in the top 5 most expensive transfers all time in women's football.

None of that means that the coaching staff should take over the men's team. It's a daft idea to be honest. The women train and play differently because of the difference in physical capability so there is no reason to think the coaching staff would move seamlessly to the men's game. Doesn't make them bad coaches or the women bad players, men's and women's football is just different. The coach of the women's team has a good CV but he has coached 1 season of men's football in his life.
This is sadly what I expected. So Mason it is 😔

So be it. Thanks for the info.

I honestly don’t see him going before the end of the season. Even losing tomorrow I don’t see it getting done. Seems completely out of step with Levy’s normal approach but I think he is gonna stick with him

Absolutely..Everything that's worthwhile takes time is kind of why ive not got 40 years to give the womens team founded 1985. It's not something can be artificial felt and I wont fake it. But does this mean you follow it ? If so can you answer my question?
You've got it there.

Women's football needs to first earn the right to be regarded as credible.

Perhaps the militant feminists should take up the cause and spend their Saturday afternoons swinging wooden clackers and shouting and swearing at opposing supporters, for several decades, while digging coal, sweeping chimneys and working in foundries; Monday to Friday.

We could stay at home and make the tea.

When this evolves naturally, into rival firms, kicking the living shit out of each other, for at least another two decades, then, and only then, should live television get involved.

I like the nuance of football and the ebb and flow of the game. Postecoglou's approach to the game seems to me like an Americanized version of the game (I'm American). Just get out there and score as many goals as possible and all the subtlety is unimportant. The brute force solution. But more importantly, unless you have a lot more depth than Spurs have it doesn't work consistently. To paraphrase a line from a Bruce Springsteen song, "They's winners and they's losers and we're south of the line." It's gone on long enough.

This is me . I never fell for something as premeditated as 'Tottenham Hotspur FC" I fell for the side the individuals and my dad's stories about Jimmy Greaves, that just got built on year on year. It evolved into the rivalry with others sides and a history that organically grew Another lifetime and the branding and association might do what Levy wants and see me spending on the women's team American football team whatever else he's lined up.

I formed the opinion, around the time Spurs gave away the two goal lead at Brighton, that Ange may be on to something despite the frustration of losing games like that one.

Ange doesn't play for a draw; which is admirable.

He plays to win in every game.

I respect that.

After 18 months of this though it is now pretty clear that last years 'bad luck' with injuries was not bad luck at all.

It is to be expected.

It is also expected to get inconsistent results and performances, due to injuries.

It's unsustainable.

I fear that THFC are now just making fools of us once again the longer we persist with it.

Some players have clearly lost interest and the credibility of the project is finished.

I can't see how Spurs start next season with Ange even if he wins the Europa.

Pole dancing and a mega brothel may be the only way forward for Levy if this shit continues.
