Oh dear, Postecult ferocious members came out of the bushes today swinging uppercuts left and right like a malnourished child, after they hid for a few days watching their Messiah took another hammering in Premier League.

I’m starting to wonder if there’s more going on behind the scenes than we realise. Could there have been a falling out with the player either before, during or after the Newcastle game because nothing has been the same since. I’d say that the energy levels have definitely dropped off which has exacerbated the poor form. Tactics are playing the part of being exposed further than in the previous months just because the effort levels have dropped off a cliff.

Then there’s the video of him shouting at the players during the Chelsea game where they obviously aren’t following instructions.

I think there has been and they are all just trying to get through the games now until the end of the season. If Burnley is a complete clusterfuck of a lack of energy and interest then I think I’m right.

Can someone enlighten me, why does this weirdo think he's the moral arbiter of this forum? Does he have any actual control here or has he basically decided he's the resident milk-monitor who likes to police the conversation?
He’s a nobody, he thinks acting like a manchild and insulting others is equivalent to “ending” them, whatever the fuck that is. When presented with facts, he decided to call me a Putin lover and apparently he added me to his ignore list :bentley:. Exactly what a little bitch who doesn’t accept the truth would do. My advise is to ignore his dumb posts and move on, waste of time talking to that dumb clown.

In Poch's first season, we finished 5th having been 10th at MW 15 and climbing up the table steadily from there on.
We lost 12 games all season (will at least be matched, if not be worse this season)
We got a few beatings early on, home to Liverpool, away at City and away at Chelsea.
By the 2nd half of the season we battered Chelsea 5-3, Beat Arse at home.
We never lost more than 2 on the bounce all season.
It wasn't a great season, but it showed some semblence of improvement during the season.
This season has been a steady decline. A worrying, steady decline.

This is the part that worries me.

Literally there are blueprints for anyone willing to see from 4 games in the row, of how to get guaranteed win against Spurs.

We were quite shit from first day of the year until Newcastle game. But the way and precision with which Howe side demolished us has just poured gasoline to a fire and we've been brutally been demolished. We've conceded 4-3-2-4 from that game. 13 goals in 4 games. Yes, 13 from 4 (!) .

Look at this useless cunt, 43% win rate in the fucking Scottish league! WTF!! and only 49 trophies won!

This isn't an anti-Ange post, but SAF getting those numbers with Aberdeen and St Mirren is actual miracle work. I'd fully expect Nuno to be able to reach those numbers with Celtic.

Agreed. This is NOT a comment on Ange, but anyone who thinks Aberdeen numbers aren't that great, has no understanding of how SAF built what was, for a year or two, one of the best two or three teams in Europe ... in a city with a population about the size of Swindon. Incredible.

Nuno has had a really good career.

Was probably sacked too early but back then the player power was the excuse/reason.

That squad was still figuring out what life was like without Poch and too many of them had a direct route to the decision-makers above the manager.

Edit: Nuno was never the right manager for us to start with but sacking a manager is always the easy way out for the board at any club. If you hired them and it's not working, you should be asking what you didn't get right when making the decision.

If the above is true, then it's not clear a close-season period will solve it tbf. I've wondered if he still has the dressing room onboard too. The "playing our football" stuff is wearing a bit thin given the collapse in performances AND apparent effort.

That wasn't the point of Zin's post.

he was saying that even the greatest managers have things that you can use to diminish their achievements if you are inclined that way.

If you win things, you win them.
The one blip in SAF's career was the early part at Man U. Which of course is somewhat analogous to where Ange is right now. I would stress tho that SAF arrived at Man U having pulled off an almost incredible managerial feat over a few years at Aberdeen. Ange has a decent CV, but nowhere close to SAF on arrival in Div 1.

Fine. Cant be arsed to go back, so i will leave myself in ignorance :)
Ughhh, okay… I’ll try to keep it short.

1. I’ve not enjoyed one single minute of the football we played this year. We regressed greatly and it doesn’t look better than the shit served in the previous season, with a possession stat padding.
2. The tactics don’t seem to work and I think they won’t work even if we buy better players.
3. He’s not improved any players individually, otherwise you’d not see so many desperate attempts to save face that he needs loads of players in the summer.
4. Doesn’t look like he wants to adapt to the amount of tiny little things you have to consider in this league.
5. Hasn’t given young players a chance.

As for the other question, I think there are lots of managers out there who would get a better tune out of the current team: Marco Rose (at Leipzig, Klopp influenced), Marco Silva (Fulham), Amorim (Sporting), Inzaghi (Inter, unlikely he’d leave though).

I mean, SAF won 8 domestic trophies in 7 years at Aberdeen. It's a mind blowing achievement. They've only won 4 in the 28 years since he's left.

I'm never going to use "he only managed in Scotland" as a stick to beat anyone, but that level of success with a non-Old Firm team in Scotland is just something that nobody will ever come close to, and is irrelevant entirely to the Ange dialogue - either pro or anti.

Yeah, I'm not Ange out at this point, but there is a lot of truth in your points.

Earlier this season many on us on this forum were saying how Madders, Biss, Sarr, and Bent was one of the best two or three midfield line-ups in the league. Does Ange have no responsibility for the collapse in performances by all four?

Stop lying. A lot of the losers did, yes. But a lot of fans who are more interested in seeing our club winning said absolutely no such thing.
55% of this poll ticked 'exciting football and squad refresh'

Most of the comments basically wanting to look forward to a Spurs game again and play more exciting football.

Backfires a bit, because SAF's numbers in Scotland are absolutely staggering when you consider who he managed and there's no escaping it. His achievements in Scotland will never, ever be surpassed. Bringing them into a discussion about Ange is always going to get the same response.
