People were so beat down by Nuno/Jose/Conte/Stellini/Mason era that all-out attacking football was always going to go down well. The incredible start of course added to that.

But when viewed as a whole there have been some really unacceptable results this season and we've regressed over time. I think there are plenty of managers who would have top 4 wrapped up long ago with the squad we have tbh. Especially given how badly some of our rivals have performed.

I'm on the fence with Ange.

I think that we improve the squad in the summer, as we should do every window, and we give him 10 games of the new season. If we are still seeing the same frailties then I'd get rid.
 
As someone put it succinctly, if Ange can’t be bothered to look at set pieces because he’s focused on the bigger picture, not entirely sure why he expects fans to do the opposite and worry about a fleeting game versus decades of abuse.

But I'd bet my bollocks that it is everything to the wage payers at the club. And I would be shocked if there as one single player in the first team who thought "ya know what, I'd rather not play at the new Bernabau next year"

This is as close to a nothing burger of a game as you could ask from our PoV, if the players gave that much of a shit about CL then they should have turned up at Newcastle, they should have turned up at home to Woolwich, they should have turned up at Chelsea, or even the faltering Liverpool, but no, City at home to gift Woolwich the title is the one where they might remove their fingers from their anuses...
