Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Ange saw something in Johnson that leaves a lot of us puzzled. He thought Werner was a good option in January. I think he assumed Son and Maddison would stay consistent.

Ive not been impressed by his approach to our attack. If he doesn't address that this summer I will have huge doubts for next season. Cant rely on defenders scoring in crucial matches, our high goal average is very deceiving. I have strong belief in him if he addresses the right things.
A good 6 and a good 9.

Yes.
100% Ange fan.

I'm first to admit that I'm now a Spurs fan since he took over.
My Spurs supporting will now continue whether he stays or goes.

First season as coach, and what has he achieved?

1. This season, finished higher in the table and goals scored even without Kane
2. Will more than likely get Spurs into ECL.
3. He has a vision of where he wants to get to.

What's wrong with him venting about the fickle fan base who are more worried about Woolwich than Spurs?
Fickle fan base ... You were doing well until that. The fact that a club that has such a poor record on the pitch is still considered one of the big clubs is 100 per cent because of the fan base.

I like Ange. I'm hopeful he can bring us some success.

As a Johnny Come lately Ange-fan boy , you are well out of order slagging off Spurs fans.

Emotions run high, even at a professional level my friend. He's just seen his own fanbase do the poznan ffs 😂😂
I was there. The support the team got was absolutely amazing until they scored when it changed a little bit. It was still very good up until the pen then we basically didn't care and starting somewhat celebrating.

I don't know how we could ever be criticised for that. Other fans would have probably not shown their support straight away but 99% of our lot were absolutely willing us to score (which shocked me).

Fraudlacoglu should be doing his media rounds commending our support after that rather then aim further digs in order to enhance his "I'm a winner" character.

Seriously, dude, just fuck off.

The level of obnoxiousness in bowling into this fan space and judging life-long yids on how to deal with their closest, oldest rivalry - because you fancy the new manager and have 'tagged along' with him - is simply astounding.

Get the fuck out.

How fucking dare you.
Dont engage mate. This thread has shown that many spurs fans from overseas dont have a fucking scooby about our rivalry with that lot.
Brought up on sky tv and social media ‘ banta’

Wouldnt surprise me if he resigns end of season.
That would hardly show his fighting credentials.

If he didn't realise that this wasn't going to be a walk in the park when he became our 5th manager in 6 years then I don't know what he was thinking or why he took the job - unless he truly believed this rabble could be turned into title challengers inside of 9 months.

He's staying.

This.

There's a quite large and very vocal section of the fandom that is so scared about being bantered by other fanbases or what fans of other teams think. And that ends up taking up a lot of the discussions surrounding the club and painting the picture of how it is perceived.

It's not just the players that need to have a new mentality instilled in them. As rough as that may be to say.
I think there are going to have to be adjustments on both sides if our relationship with Ange is going to work. Ange needs to understand that our hatred of Woolwich isn't going anywhere and that he if he isn't more open to Woolwich-related issues he will struggle to form a relationship with the Tottenham fanbase.

We need to realise that celebrating a 2-0 home defeat because it buggers up our rival's title chances isn't the way forward. It's not exactly Glory, Glory stuff. We have a proud history of playing some of the greatest football ever and Ange is a man with the potential to take us back to those glory days - when we were the ones winning the trophies - but, for that to happen, we need to think bigger.

Match going fans get a bad rep from the armchair warriors. We always support the team.

Personally I’m looking forward to this all blowing over if newcastle and Chelsea don’t win tonight and we get the require point, but really a proper win against Sheffield United. I get the feeling the fanbase can do with a break, the season has been pretty exhausting.

He has spent the whole season saying the club belongs to the fans, he is just passing through.

I think he should have gone and had a glass of red with Pep before talking to the media, calm down and put things in perspective a bit before going in front of a microphone.
