I'm unsure what this actually means, maybe it's similar to some of Conte's comments?

I pretty sure it means that he's surprised people are happy for their own team to lose.

Belittle his achievements all you want but this is a guy who has unshakable belief in his philosophy and has won wherever he goes.

Attack him for some performances this season but he goes into every game 100% wanting to win.

He'll find it hard to reconcile yesterday against the bigger picture of wanting success here.

And look, I don't 100% agree with him. I don't think he got the tone 100% right in the build up to yesterday. But the glee some of our own fans displayed over a loss is ridiculous.

Yes he should have kept it short and sweet in the pressers but our own fans should have heeded that too. Turn up and support the boys and move on quietly without doing a fucking Poznan when we lose.

A good balanced post.

Manager calls out elements of the pussyhole fanbase which have been a symptom of why this club has been mudded, pussyhole fans start crying, take it personal and fail to see the bigger picture, shock.
You realise he's actually talking about out fans like YOU
Fans happy to accept years of mediocrity and fans happy to see us bumble around with no intent and winning fuck all.

He's calling you out mate for the pussyhole losers that you and others like you are and you're drinking it up. .:roflmao:

I think he got it wrong. This was a unique situation, fans have been top draw all season even in our big defeats. Concentrate on what he can control and he can fix, he absolutely has to win the game, he is paid to do so no issue with that. Fans and professionals are not the same, they come and go we are stuck for life. It’s not a big thing in the grand scheme of things, I think he is an emotional guy and got caught up in it all. I hope he at least understands that in every way this is the biggest job of his career by far and he will need mental toughness and patience if he is to survive.

After yeaterday all Postecoglou needs tp do is demand that level of intensity and commitment in every game.

And to find players who can put the ball into the back of the net.

Second best post so far today Correct..

a) That wasn't the essence of my post.

b) I've been one of the few who's been in running battles with the pitch-forked hordes who wanted him gone since scum defeat, saying just that and defending him.

So wind it in.
Ok, I apologise for the tone, I’m just finding the constant negativity of the last few days extremely wearing!!!!

When Conte has a rant, but wants to sod off he’s universally praised. When Ange has a rant (justifiably in my eyes) and wants to stay to sort it out he’s condemned!

The comments might/might not have been aimed at the fanbase. Are we that fragile that we then have to have hours/days of a pile on about it?!

I welcome Ange’s passion and I’m hoping he’s the man for the job.

Only time will tell tonight... But I think Ange is done with us...

It's the Conte rant all over again, just with 'Mate' at the end of it....

Either outcome last night, Woolwich have broken us... AGAIN!!!

I can assure anyone that he understand football is tribal. The guy managed Celtic against Rangers for two seasons. He's Greek heritage and he would well know about the Olympic-Pana rivalry. Games where fans get killed, built on deep historical socio-economic ,class, religious and political divides. He well knows the tribalism of the game.
Well then I think he needs to educate himself on the history of Tottenham and Woolwich rivalry because to to me he doesn't seem to quite get it.

But wanting the team to lose in that situation that we just had, what's that got to do with the 'foundations inside/outside of the club'? I mean the other matches we all wanted to win.

So as far as the supporters are concerned the foundations are fine. That's why I don't understand his comments. Does he really think Celtic fans would be any different in a similar situation?

But that's the thing.

We as fans care about that.

He doesn't.

I'm ok with that but you've got people on here who have been calling for him to be sacked cos he only cares about Spurs winning.

Our Spurs manager...only cares about Spurs winning...and some of our own fans hate him for it.

Not that it makes a jot of difference but I really don't understand what Postecoglou is bemoaning or maybe it talks to it's just another game reference he made when we played Woolwich a few weeks ago. It really is much more than that.

But how can that be if you dissect it. He managed Celtic, so he has a strong kmowledge of intense rivalry. He seemed all in on the keenness of the conpetotiom between us and that lot earlier this season.

Abd yet instead of saying he gets how the fans feel but professionalism has to be seen to be shinig through, he goes on the attack, when in this match, nobody would have criticised him or the players, once the match ended.

He needs a holiday.

I think you might need a short break too mate.

What is it with this section of the stadium? Sherwood’s gilet, Diers fight…….
That was in the East Stand... Mate!

Thing is with all of this, "I just wanna win, mate" stuff...
HAD we have "Won, mate" against any ONE of Newcastle, Chelsea, Liverpool... not to mention ARSEANAL (cos we're not allowed to mention THAT rivalry) then last night would've been an irrelevance, a side show...

But we LOST FOUR on the bounce, that's not 'Winning, mate!" that's scuppering ANY of the hard work we put in when we were TOP in September...
No PL team, top after 10-12 games, has finished OUTSIDE the top 4...

Then Spurs happened!

Is that winning, mate!?

I was there. The support the team got was absolutely amazing until they scored when it changed a little bit. It was still very good up until the pen then we basically didn't care and starting somewhat celebrating.

I don't know how we could ever be criticised for that. Other fans would have probably not shown their support straight away but 99% of our lot were absolutely willing us to score (which shocked me).

Fraudlacoglu should be doing his media rounds commending our support after that rather then aim further digs in order to enhance his "I'm a winner" character.
Yeah I thought the support for the team was pretty good, if anything the fans supported the club MORE. Someone posted on social media 'it was embarrassing Spurs fans singing 'oh when the Spurs..' when we were 2-0 down', errrr isn't that showing good support to the club despite losing.

I felt the fans were very much on side with supporting the club in more ways than one.

You're very good at answering my legitimate questions with abuse and no reasonable answer.

So tell me.

If it came to a choice next season, would you prefer Spurs to finish above Woolwich on the EPL table OR would you prefer Spurs to get some silverware?

A legitimate question to see how ingrained you're Woolwich hatred is.
How was that abuse? It's literally a fact that they'd be singing his name for decades had he won last night. We'd never live it down and the relationship between the manager and fans would be completely broken.

To answer your question, I would rather win the Europa League than finish above Woolwich but would rather finish above Woolwich than win the League or FA Cups. Winning a cup isn't gonna change this clubs fortune as much as competing at the top end of the league will. Yeah last night was tinpot, but so was the Chelsea fans who celebrated the Battle of the Bridge, the next season they won the title. You can change the mood and mentality of a fanbase by winning games. Last nights lack of support was 100% a reflection on how poorly the team has performed since Christmas, and they should be embarrassed about it.
