You've had your question answered, now answer mine. How many managers, in English top flight history, have won the league in their first season with virtually a brand new team, playing in a completely different way? I even gave you a hint.
My take is, regarding the whole curfuffle post-City game, is not of him learning, he's not changed his pov one bit (which, IMO, is great btw), but he is using this as a live example to communicate further on his beliefs. He's done this by taking full ownership and responsibility, he's not blamed anyone, in stark contrast to the two particular cunts in Mourinho and Conte. So if he thinks members of the staff are still to fully buy in the way he wants them to (his vision of what an elite football must be to be successful) then he saying he needs to be better at conveying his message.
He's apologised he got the sentiment wrong and the consequence of doing so means the preparations for the game were affected. I LOVE the fact though he doesn't accept (and never will) why anyone will be okay with your team dropping points.

You're 100% right my friend, it is concerning. However, that has absolutely nothing to do with the question being asked, which was how many games did we control from start to finish.
Ignoring the fact that no team ever totally controls an entire game, from start to finish, throughout an entire season, my answer was spot on. Every game we've won has been because we were the better team with the vast majority of control over the game. We've even lost games (Villa and WH) where we had control of the game, but were let down by poor finishing and brief lapses, for which we got punished.

Couldn't care less mate (although our last manager would be one), I don't recall stating he should have won the league, I merely asked how many games people think we controlled and won convincingly.

Probably not many, as should be expected considering its his first season. Don't you think it's unfair to expect full controlled games this early in his tenure? 3 seasons in.. sure...
It actually also shows that we had a much kinder fixture list in the first half of the season.
The second half of the season we had all the following fixtures
United A
West Ham A
Chelsea A
Newcastle A
Liverpool A
Villa A
A red hot Woolwich at home
If that run of games (Newcastle, Woolwich, Liverpool, chels) had been spread out over the season and the results had been isolated rather than in one cluster, I don’t think there would have been the meltdown we saw. Even if we were 5th.
There were still some good performances second half of the season - I don’t think we played badly against Woolwich at home, city at home, Villa away for example.

There really is an issue with the way this FOOTBALL club prioritises everything but the actual fookin' football team.
Normally though that kind of form over an extensive period means that managers have lost the players and they've given up, this team haven't given up (apart from the Chelsea match) tactically you can say that he set the team up to open and we were getting picked off and we had trouble defending set pieces which is all on the manager, happy to admit that.
But the City match told me there's still life in us and that he's able to stop the weakness and can do something about it anyway.

You really missed the point of my post didn't you. Capology is not a reliable source and anything post the 22/23 accounts is guesswork. The latest figures have our wage at 5th, ahead of Woolwich. It's true that we're dwarfed by Liverpool that's hardly shocking given their success on the pitch. Chelsea are about to be hit with the mother of all financial sanctions so I'm not sure theirs is a model we want to follow.
So all 20 games we've won have been deservedly, which according to your own words means we had control of the game, but winning a game doesn't mean you controlled it, am I reading that right?

The fixtures are hard.. but you need to be doing better in them. A lot better. Individually I don’t expect to win most of these games but I definitely don’t expect to lose nearly all of them. I’ve also not been impressed by performances in between games against competent opposition. The 3-0 loss to Fulham as well.. Fulham and Newcastle away should not be a combined 7-0 loss. Sorry.
I’ve not seen too much melting. I think it’s right to be worried about how we coped with the second half of the season but also fair to say it’s Ange’s first season and he needs time and backing.
