Ange is only loved by this fanbase because he came in after Conte not because of anything Ange has done personally. Ange publicly said he has been backed and these are the best forwards he can come up with? Fuck off

last season a probelm we had was when one winger played in a low cross the other side winger hide behind the last defender hopeing he would miss the ball (instead of getting in front of last defender looking for tap in)
so you would thnk the coaches would wprk on that , BUT NO, why bother

Injuries though .

Ange may be loved but no-one ever said he could miraculously heal the lame .

In all seriousness: things may well improve ( dramatically ) with the relevant people being fit for selection.

He’s been unlucky, in that regard so far this season IMO .

Fans don’t want to hear that Ange is the problem. His naïve tactics are so predictable and any decent team will beat us. Dominating possession means nothing when you’re powder puff up front and crap defensively.

You could be right.

The tactics of the modern game left me behind some time ago . Things were simpler before…

I’m just trying to come up with reasons why things are likely to improve rather than stay the same or get worse.

It’s alwats worth trying the medicine called “ Optimism “ before reaching for the “ Here we go again “ enema.

Seriously; things can get better . Hopefully they will !

PA I’ve seen far worse and less promising times

Even if baldy grants you all your wishes and sacks him, who replaces him and does much better with no fit strikers and a midtable recruitment strategy?

We can't just keep relying on new manager bounces. Unless we're still in the bottom half at Christmas he's not going anywhere.

Runs of consecutive games do matter even if it crosses seasons. Hoddle didnt solely get sacked after 6 games for having 4pts. It was because it was a continuation of the dreadful form in the last 3rd of the season before.

Poch didnt get sacked after 12 games because of the 14 pts he'd got. He'd hit the skids in the league the previous March.

I think barring utter disaster (losing 4 or 5 of the next 5 or 6) he'll be alright for a while but if we're midtable in November and the crowd start to get on Levys back then he's in trouble.

Let down by his players today. Again
Our manager can't even bring himself to tell a CENTRE BACK to stop following the ball (all the way to midfield) and stay In his position. Everyone has free reign to do whatever they want because those are the indications given out by our manager.

He's so tactically inept he decides to expose our already positionally ill discplined centre back by having 1 centre midfielder (who is on a yellow card) against a midfield THREE. People will say he had to that as we were losing but it was a desperation play due to that ill disciplined lunatic centre back deciding to chase the ball all the way to midfield and then practically walking back resulting in a gaping whole the size of Angela whites arsehole. The first half for the most part was under control.

Even moving Sonny from the left to more centrally second half. We know that's not his natural position but at least fucking tell him to play off the defender and get into the box immediately. He moves Son there and just allows him to play this sort of hybrid winger/attacker/forward combo where he can do what he wants and he's everywhere but at the end of one of the crosses put in. Look at where he was every time Johnson fizzed a ball in...yards behind.

It just seems like some sort of 5 a side tactic where everyone can do whatever they want (except easy targets like Sarr and Bissouma who will get shouted at and hooked off there first sign of an issue). I mean Maddison was allowed months of absolutely nothing performances last season with Ange simply allowing it to happen.

Will he bollock Romero for being at fault for every single goal this season? Will he fuck.

Postecoglou is going to struggle to get through this season..

It's his team now. His selections. I am sure he also has a say in the transfers. No excuses for me.

Not for a solitary moment did I think we would get anything today, with or without Solanke or the fcuking useless Richarlison.

Newcastle literally just had to put 11 players on the pitch is how I felt.

I want to be wrong but Postecoglou is not going to be the answer and soon the fans will turn.

I simply don't see enough ad valorem.

They way the game was panning out we probably would have got something. I've seen how Richi attacks those Johnson crosses
