Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We could have Pep here and we’d win fuck all.

So talking about changing the manager is a moo point.

Just accept we’re never winning another trophy and y’all will be much happier and probably live longer.

lol! just watched it, he said the reason we lost is because they battled harder...this is the guy who last week said derbys shouldnt be treated differently.... deary me, he just keeps exposing himself as the fool he is doesnt he.
But didn’t he say before city game last season we should be up for every game and not just derbies. That he’s a winner and wants to win all games. Fine way of showing it!

I don't want Ange out but he'd be my first choice. Seems like a natural successor for the way we play.

He'll get more out of Solanke than our current system does as well.
Yeah many said we bought him for his hoals last season. Now that we create f all for him but he works hard it’s oh that’s why we bought him. Ange wanted him and he fits the system perfectly. Yeah system which creates so little for him and he is having to drop deep to try to win the ball back. Then have wingers like Johnson who cannot cross for love nor money.

Small margins. But their GD is truly woeful for a team that prides itself on its attacking tradition.

They have also been absolutely pony in Europe and are currently 23rd or something in that league. Which is frankly embarrassing.

I’m hoping they get Zidane.
United have played:

Fulham (10th)
Brighton (6th)
Palace (17th)
Liverpool (2nd)
Tottenham (8th)
Southampton (20th)
Brentford (9th)
West ham (13th)

Average league position 9th

The average league position of our opponents is nearer 12th

Yep. But they lost the 6 pointer to us. I imagine if you took that result out the equation our average opponents would be slightly lower in the league and theirs slightly higher.

And our GD is much better. We are actually entertaining in terms of scoring goals. They haven’t even averaged a goal a game.

I know you think Spurs are boring. Imagine going to watch those fucks while your noisy neighbours rip up the league.

And they are a club that actually wants / aims to win the league. Let’s be honest. That’s not us.

"Ange for me in general has done a good job"

You do know that ETH won two trophies over the past two season for United?

Doing a good job, is why we are where we are.

Doing a good job is what Nuno is doing or Silva, or Iraola.

We need a manager who can deliver more than a "good job".
Yeah and you do know that ETH failed to implement a playing style in 3 years at Man Utd with the help of bringing in lots of his ex players and spending a fortune?!

Trophies matter but rest assure if we won the league cup this season playing 'luck' football you'd have fans moan about the style of play.

I laugh when people compare Ange's record to Nuno, Ramos etc, there's a big difference about how the managers have gone about managing the club and implementing a style of play etc.

Like I've mentioned before, I don't think Ange is perfect but I also don't think he deserves the endless pages of criticism.

Comes with the territory.

Problem with Conte is that he doesn't last 3 years in any club just like Jose. But within a short time he does produce results. Regardless he was going to be gone end of the 2nd year no matter the result, he was never the solution.

Conte was the wrong fit for Levy/ENIC, not the club. If we gave Conte the tools he needed, he'd have done well for us.

The way he got us 4th was pretty great to be honest.

But we are not a club that wants to win, so Conte didn't work. Levy wants project managers who he can deliver players who don't cost lots of wages to and ask them to mould a team. That isn't Conte. Conte needs clubs set up to win.

Conte was a desperate throw of the dice by Levy to keep Kane and win a trophy, like Jose was. What the dumb dwarf failed to see though is that the club he has overseen for the last 20 years is in no position to win under those types of managers because there is a fundamental difference in philosophy. The culture Levy presides over is at odds with those winners.

When we needed a CB who did Levy sign for Jose? Joe Rodon. You can't make it up. Why did we sign Rodon and not Skriniar? Because we wouldn't pay the money, wages were too high etc etc same old story every time. Buy cheap by thrice.

Or, alternatively, instead of taking that game out, imagine if we'd lost instead of won.
