Those who are making the decisions in the club need to spend the short term reflecting long and hard. If they think that we're on the right path. Then they have to stick with it. Regardless of what some of us may think..

However, if they think that the wind is blowing a certain way and the count down to them making a change has started.. Then they shouldn't drag it out for sake of politeness, or because of how it would look.

What is frustrating is how all previous poor performances and displays of bad attitude are washed away after one good result and performance by the fanbase and Spurs adjacent media. It perpetuates a culture of acceptable inconsistency and the team turning up when it wants.

There is absolutely no chance of us getting no points until christmas! Get a grip! Honesty what sort nonsense is this. You think we will lose every game? If that happens then he'll go but can we please live in reality! We hammered Villa last week - we aren't going to lose every game. Inconsistency is the problem, we aren't just the worst team in the league after 1 game.

My god this is tiring. What is wrong with some of you
10 defeats in 18 league games is not a consistency issue. It's outright poor form.

Weirdly I think we will win a cup this season, while having the least consistent aggravating team in decades.
What is that belief based on?
You can win a league with few defeats. But in cups there are so many games (in some format from first to last game) where just one game where opposition defends deep and stings us with one counter will be lethal.

This is not a winning style of football on that level. Even ManCity is into pieces when they are now without world's best footballer ffs.

Literally losing to lesser and/or defensively solid sides is written into how we play unfortunately.

We've got as much chance of winning a trophy as Oscar Pistorious has of winning legs of the year

Because when we weirdly decide to play we can beat anyone. 3 of them in the Carabao and we have a cup. Everything has been chaotic under Ange, so wouldn't surprise me if we won and he even gets sacked.

Too many negatives at the minute associated with Anges management. Beaten by Ipswich and Palace, who both were winless. Unable to do anything away from home. Even a lot of the games we won, like Villa or Spammers , we were really poor and went behind before performing. Let's face it we have been really poor in a lot of games and been getting away with it, but since Brighton I don't think Ange or the players have the same belief any more.
The inevitable sacking is getting closer and Levy will rinse and repeat once again. I know we spent a lot under Ange, but we signed too many young players and I dont believe Ange got the players he wanted. He obviously wanted Gallagher, right or wrong, you back the manager if that's who he wanted.
This acceptance by Levy that top half is good enough, no need to risk money onfield , as long as the books look good, eventually has to feed down throughout the club. If your chairman has no onfield ambition or is not willing to gamble to go the extra mile, then how can he or anyone expect a manager or players to do any better?
Ange started like a train, but it has long since become badly derailed and as much as I hate Levy and think he has so many faults, Ange should still be getting more out of these players and his unwillingness to change or stubbornness will eventually cost him, and likely sooner rather than later.

That is spot on. I would say only Son and VDV probably get in any of the other top team sides. They are fucking average.
The current version of Son wouldn’t start for City, Woolwich, Liverpool, Chelsea.

Even VDV, as athletically amazing as he is, is still very green when it comes to defending and has a lot to learn still.

I know he gets a lot of flack, and some of it is of course deserved, but I genuinely think Romero is the only player we have that would start for other top sides in the Premier League. He is the only player we have that I think genuinely would start for City.
Porro tbf to him too is a technically excellent player and would arguably start for other top sides.

All the others though? I really believe all others wouldn’t start for the Newcastle’s and Villas of the Premier League, never mind the other big 6 sides.

If we finish 8/9th the outrage towards Postecoglou would reach a crescendo but it really is where we are in terms of the quality of our players.
Anything above that would be overachieving.

One thing I've read about is individual defensive errors. Generally I subscribe to the idea that the manager can structure his team better defensively to prevent individual mistakes. However, I have to admit that players under Conte or Mourinho did not stop making more defensive errors just because we played a defensive style.

On one hand, the fans demand attacking football over trophies. On the other hand, conceding two goals per game is not sustainable. Our goal difference has improved this season, but we have ran into similar problems regarding a stretched squad and conceding poor goals.

Really don't agree that Romero and Porro are the only players who would start for Villa or Newcastle, either of them would slot VDV straight in their starting XI, let's be real green or not his physical attributes make him a better player already than the likes of Botman, Schar and Konsa, all of whom are starting XI players for Newcastle and Villa respectively, this season's Kulu gets into either of those starting XIs, over Willock at NUFC and take your pick of any of Villa's CMs, none of them have been as good as Kulu so far this season, I think Sarr is every bit as good as any of Villa's midfielders and might not start every game at Newcastle but would certainly also take the significant minutes off Willock that he's been getting this season in that midfield. Udogie and Hall are pretty similar in age, both with high ceilings, but I'd say you'd probably be playing Udogie most games if you had both at the moment; though I'll concede I don't think he would oust Digne in the Villa XI.

That is to say clearly man-for-man we are not significantly weaker than the sides who will largely fall in the 4th-8th positions this season, we aren't the only team in the top 6 with ropey depth in certain areas (even City and Woolwich can't buy a win atm because of the respective injuries to Rodri and Odegaard), I don't think Ange "overachieved" in his first term here, I think he achieved exactly the minimum to constitute positive progress with the caveat that we needed a serious uptick in league form at the beginning of this season to compensate for how abjectly fucking awful we were in the last 3-4 months of last season. Not to mention we spent more than the likes of Villa, Newcastle, Woolwich, Chelsea and Liverpool by a significant sum this window just gone, I don't for one fucking millisecond believe any player has been brought here without Ange okaying it in some capacity first, so if we have regressed from having a squad that realistically should have been top 4 last season but for some of the fucking ridiculous results we bottled towards the end, to a squad only capable of 8th or 9th having spent more than £85m net, who does the buck stop with on that?

I get a bit pissed off with people making out he was some all seeing messiah for that outburst!

There may be some truth to it, but it was completely self-motivated with only one goal in mind so kind of makes a complete mockery of the whole thing!
i think no sane person see him as a messiah
n maybe u right
but it could after the game he saw players haveing a good time n laughing n he thought "WTF"

Get the disappointment today & knives may be out for Ange but let's be honest the simple fact is the squad while decent is not top 4 quality.
Man City, Liverpool, Woolwich & Chelsea have much better & I expect them to finish top 4.

5th was a good showing last season & we almost got 4th.

In reality unless we overachieve or others underperform 5th to 8th is currently our level.
Us, Villa, Man U, Toon all have aspirations to finish top 4. Not a lot to choose between the squads imho
In reality 1 of us will finish 8th at best.
If a smaller club overperforms as can often happen maybe lower?

Prem league is getting tougher any aspirations to win it at the moment is a pipe dream.
I expect us to finish 5th to 8th under Ange & that's about right.

can't agree with you about finishing 8/9th, if we had beat Palace & Ipswich 2 duff sides without a win we would be in the top 3
and whyshould we not beat them, out players are much better than them, the problem is the managers ONE tactic (he will never change that, because he is a duffer) and the players not up for it ( once again no the manager aswell as the player himself)

One things for sure whether you’re Ange in or out this guy needs to be binned off. Bloke has a working IQ of about 30.

“Well Ange we lost 4-1 today, but what did you think of that passing move leading up to our goal?”

He’s the ultimate Levy employee this one. It’s embarrassing trying to frame the defeat as because we got back from Turkey at 2am. What a pathetic question. He should be absolutely binned off. He sums up the state of the club. Cringe worthy wanker
