Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I actually would

I would not bet on success under another manager however. It’s always a risk. But it’s got to the point where it’s rational to believe it’s likely to be better under a Frank or Iraola than under Ange
Well, we are really struggling atm so the new manager bounce and/or the return to the mean could definitely be worth a bet on a short term uptick in form.

I guess people have reached the point where they need that quick hit of relief and I don’t blame them. Where it leads us is another thing.

Yep, fair post, although it's also possible that stronger characters may have called this paucity of performance and results out.

I guess it's how you choose to look at it.
I don't see any strong characters that would have the audacity to call him out on anything. He's lucky in this respect, not that I'm a fan of players downing tools to get a manager out. It sets a bad precedent that better be avoided. Especially on a team like ours that features so many young players.

Around half of the regulars are under 25, most of whom are too busy trying to earn a permanent place in the club. Turning against a manager could easily jeopardize their future here.

Some veterans like Reguillon, Richarlison, Werner and Bissouma barely play or contribute so they can't possibly have any leverage against any manager.

Some like Romero,Bentancur and Son may be on their way out anyway, so it'd be a fruitless endeavor for them.

Davies and Forster are the two other remaining seniors but they're too low on the pecking order -barring injuries of course- to have any significant impact.

That covers pretty much everybody I think. This is not the Moyes-Utd situation where he picked up a squad full of proven winners. Ange, with his Scottish and Australian league titles, is more decorated than most of his players right now.

They’re likely right tbh, I’d say there’s a solid chance that he leaves here and takes Hyundai Zebras to a Korean cup double season after next.

Then sits smugly in press conferences telling everyone he can win anywhere if given time completely not looking at context

We will have far

We will have fa

Without fatty we will have far fewer injuries

Romero (or replacement), VdV, Drag, Davies, Vuskovic and one new signing. Would be fine

it was so weird that interview. The ONE time he smiled and looked the interviewer in the eye.
Davies' contract expires and he won't be back. That's why I said 3 new CBs in the next 13 months. We might be able to limp thru the end of this season playing 3 at the back with just the 1 signing in January.

If we're going to keep Romero and Dragusin, and rely on Phillips and Vuskovic, then maybe just 1.

He's gone mate. He basically publicly said fuck you to the board. I think his contract is ticking as well, a stroppy, angry South American being forced to stay at the club isn't good for anybody. May not be Madrid anymore but I'm sure someone reasonably sized would take him - his rep on the continent is likely very good.
Anywhere he goes will be a cut in pay. I think his attitude will change once that sinks in.

I hope for Iraolas sake he swerves the Levy conveyor belt
Such a weird statement - or at least extremely difficult sentiment for me to understand.

I couldn't care less about anyone in football outside of Tottenham*. If Iraola came to Spurs, I hope he's Poch 2.0+ with silverware. If he doesn't, fuck him - wouldn't be skin off my nose if he ended up managing in the women's 3rd division in Peru. I didn't/don't support Bale at Madrid, Poch at PSG, or Harry at Bayern - utterly meaningless to me.

*Not entirely true, I support Dag & Red - though there's never really any crossover. I do also sentimentally support Fiorentina (but dont really follow them), so on the off chance Iraola ended up there I'd wish him well.

Because the evidence of every manager before and since Poch Is that he won’t be Poch mkII. And Poch didn’t win anything anyway then got fired so why would we want a Poch Mk II?

I've come to the conclusion that you might the most pristine manifestation of ENIC Out.

You seem to be so against them, you'd rather stick with an obviously incompetent manager to see us fail and punish ENIC. You hate the board, the club and the fans.

The only individuals you like are a random assortment of international managers.

I don’t hate the fans or the club,

I don’t even want to see us fall to punish ENIC. If we somehow broke the cycle, I’d happily give Levy his flowers.

I’ve just seen this pattern repeat too many times to believe the cycle wont repeat so why go through the same dance over and over with different managers? So we can occasionally finish 4th and continue being the butt of every joke about actually winning things.
