Mainly strong. One or two didn't work out, but that was more than offset by the ones that did. What was his record like with signings at Celtic? All strong or a mixed bag?

I also really dislike who we've become. We used to have a bit of class. But under this lot the way we treat people yuck.... Pochettino, Nuno, Jose, Furlough, senior concession, Vertonghen, Loris. We used to be Mabbutt, Defoe, Perryman Burkinshaw. Decent. Now we are class less from the pitch to boardroom. That's Levy Cullen and the others.Yeah tbf I was unfair on him - was less an identity crisis and him specifically being told you need to play this style. Which is absolutely fucking mental.
It was never going to work here for Nuno. A panic hire because we couldn't get Conte who was tossed aside. Treated horrendously by our board and I bet he got a lot of fucking satisfaction out of beating us. Good bloke, never somebody who the fans could really get behind but he's perfect for Forest.
I agree. Big ask for an 18 year old to be thrown in deep end. Shown maturity.
Not surprised but pissed off with the failure to adapt.
I understand the philosophy, but when you have the injuries we do and an 18 year old at centre back, it seems unnecessarily stubborn and reckless to continue with both fullbacks so high up near the opposition box.
The goal we gave away was very avoidable under the circumstances.
Grey will be the next to get injured playing this stupid game plan. Every centre back has done their hammy so it’s likely he will eventually too.
Dragusin got kicked on the ankle, and Romero’s muscle injury wasn’t after sprinting back but after he tried to do a Cruyff turn in the box.Grey will be the next to get injured playing this stupid game plan. Every centre back has done their hammy so it’s likely he will eventually too.
That went right over my head. There is a lot of how managers and players move around in football that is down to agencies and business relationships. Just now you've got a front office and manager with ties to City Group. It's one more reason Postecoglou isn't going anywhere. Two things will save him. First, he was in the media and did motivational speaking in Australia and he's good at selling himself and his system. He put a lot of effort up front into telling fans what they wanted to hear and creating an image. That reserve of good will is still working for him. But the second thing is the people in the front office who should be overseeing his work and evaluating him are often from the same network of connections. I think he is as close to "fire proof" as any Spurs manager has ever been.
How many CB would you have in 26 man squad?Dragusin got kicked on the ankle, and Romero’s muscle injury wasn’t after sprinting back but after he tried to do a Cruyff turn in the box.
I do think broadly you’re correct that a high line increases injury risk, especially in a packed schedule playing once every 3 days. The solution to that should be buying more CBs.
We started the season with 3 natural CBs and Spence out of the Europa squad… poor decision making by all.
4 natural CBs, so I’d want to buy one more left footed one. Genuine quality needed.

they have been sufficiently upgraded. dier, lloris, sanchez, emerson, skipp, winks..these players were seeing a LOT of football. all serious weak links in a side. they have all been sufficiently upgraded. the front line is now the weak area, whereas before it was the strong point due to kane. They haven’t been “sufficiently” upgraded. Our squad depth is absolute ass and players like Son have massively regressed since Conte was here. So essentially we’ve lost Kane and Son.
Also people on here may not like to talk about him in that way but Conte is a world class manager. Easily top 10 in the world. Of course his tactics can get more out of the players. We won’t be getting a manager at that level again anytime soon. The era of deluxe spurs that Poch created is over and we’re back to Jol/Redknapp style teams at best.
I see no point in sacking Ange mid season with the state of this squad. If we’re going to get rid then we might as well wait until the Summer when the likes of Iraola would be more willing to jump ship. Even then, I can’t get excited for anymore “projects”. Levy will always leave his manager short in crucial areas in the Summer.
I think four plus youth realistically. A 22 man squad should be two full teams. It’s a 25 man squad so you’d then go of one utility defender, utility midfielder and forward. Then your kids to supplement.
Ah okay I thought 26 for some reason.I think four plus youth realistically. A 22 man squad should be two full teams. It’s a 25 man squad so you’d then go of one utility defender, utility midfielder and forward. Then your kids to supplement.
If we had 4 proper CBs and rotated somewhat you could argue we wouldn’t be in this bad a position. A lack of options and rotation has exacerbated poor fortune too.
