Why does anyone think that getting Iraola as manager will make us great again? If prime Poch,Mourinho and Conte can’t get us up there then please fucking realise it doesn’t matter who’s in charge. Yes,he’ll make us better but we will never be who we want and could be till the powers that be get to fuck.

The next manager will come in and I’ll get excited then 2 years maximum down the line we’ll be in here saying bad shit about him too.

I can’t believe I’ve got to the numb state of supporting this club. We all just want something great to happen and that’s what kills us every time.
No guarantee but any half decent manager will have us playing a better brand of football over all with some proper coaching and tactics.

I wasn't enthused by Ange when he arrived but my son had bought into the whole thing and he told me the wingers were the key to the whole thing working.

Ange wants wingers who are rapid, can beat their man and get the ball into the box.

This type of winger has never been provided for the manager, apart from Odebert, and he was probably not Ange's preferred option.

Son and Brennan have been the mainstays in these key positions for Ange's tactics to work.
Stopped reading at the mention of Brennan being the key to these tactics working.

A road-runner, right footed, inside-forward who can't take on his man, who can't control the ball, can't cross, can't shoot, can't come inside on his left, can't even kick it with his left, and is forced to play out on the touchline where he looks completely bereft, is the key to Ange's system working?

Sorry but if you still think that then frankly you don't understand the sport you're watching. For the whole of last year we had to listen to people here yap on about Brennan's G/A as if that was evidence of him not being complete shite, and then again this year in his little "hot streak" that was so blatantly going to be short lived, but that opinion is too embarrassing to hold any more so even those old hold-outs seem to have shut up about him.

Oh, and it was widely reported he was Ange's main player demand in his first summer, the guy he REALLY wanted for his system. Cheers gaffer. If the wingers are truly the only key to his system working (spoiler; they're not) the manager has nobody to blame but himself.

They’re in the room with us alright.

Anyone who is still backing the fraud is as irrational as it can get. The fraud has us in a relegation battle and losing to Ipswich and Leicester at home. The fraud is unfit for duty and should be dismissed.

Along with the cultists.
There no big injuries v Ipswich and we lost at home. If he could setup the team to beat Ipswich at home with most of his players available then what makes the board and Ange bois think he can get us out this mess. A mess generally of his own making. The lack of subs v Brighton is still unforgivable!

Agree with all that apart from feeling bad for him.

If he had a bit more class then yes but this bollocks with him trying to stare down fans and his general arrogance and clear annoyance at being questioned on anything then i think he deserves the ire and contempt.
He’s lucky he doesn’t really get a hard time by the press. You know questions like why did you not think it might have helped to make subs v Brighton? Why did you not start Spence v Coventry and many more games after that or just some minutes. Why does MADDs get dubbed or dropped when he is by far our most creative player and has the best G/A in our squad. Why not start Will v Tamworth. Why start 2 players just back from injury not ready v chavs. Could go on but the press should really take him up on some of the BS he has said and done.

V Tamworth the most obvious stupidity was starting Werner and Johnson. And not Kulu and Spence

"further discussion" my arse.

Shadydan Shadydan whole shtick here is as follows:

1) initially after a bad result he will tell everyone that the managers tactics are cooked, that Ange can't lose that game and survive, that we should pray for Ange.

2) He will then wait it out a few days and then proceeded to start posting positively about Ange again.

The guy openly stated we had to win both the Everton game and the Leicester game for Ange to survive then stated he "changed his mind" a few days after losing to Everton.

The guy stated the fanbase are cooked and "losers" for thinking we are in a relegation battle (literally "lol'ing at any post that said we can be sucked into the relegation battle) only to tell us not even two weeks later that we are in a relationship battle to suit the argument he was having at the time. When questioned he says he "changed his mind" again.

His whole shtick is to get a reaction. I don't even know what he actually believes because he keeps saying "he's changed his mind". Just don't engage if you want any sort of honest opinion tbh.
You're all mugs for not having him on ignore.

I wonder if it’s the optics of sacking the manager during an injury crisis is having some effect on pulling the trigger?

Sack him if the poor form continues once players are back and they may feel it looks less reactionary to the potential successor.
But how many players do we need back to be called his got players back. Say we get 5 back some will say we are still missing 5. The goaline will just be moved and another excuse will be made.

The point is we’re not bottom half when everyone is fit? Wow I’m shocked, never thought about it. But the tweet said "how good we were" which is not true. In an ideal world, stats say we’d finish 7th or so which is still underwhelming considering we finished 5th last season and the expectation was mostly top 4. But we don’t live in an ideal world and pretty much all the teams lose players to injuries and that’s when a manager has to find solutions or those who hired him give him more tools to do his job.

Pep, Klopp and now Amorim didn't find 'solutions' especially when they were trying to implement a philosophy, they kept playing the same way so that's not always the answer!

Anyway you're right when you say that he should have be given more tools to do his job
