Ok I’ve finally come around.

Yep decided that corten steel statue for Ange rather than bronze would best suit. Mainly because corten steel develops a protective layer of rust over time. So would better reflect Ange’s rough features due to the steel’s natural dappled surface which would make him look a little leaner as well. Not sure if they put it up straight after Europa Cup just in case he goes on to win a trophy or two next season.

Who knows though he could still get sacked..after all we sacked the great Poch just six months after making CL final

Sorry Paul 7th / 8th is not good enough for a team with our revenue and facilities.
Its realistic though.

Despite our revenue and facilities, we have a chairman who operates our club as if we're on the brink of administration.

I'm all for being sensible and not recklessly spending but we can still do more with the amount of revenue we do generate. We can also spend more wisely instead of on players who are injury prone, have behaviour issues or are otherwise disinterested in the club and merely use it as a stepping stone.

I listened to about 3 minutes of his latest presser and had to turn it off. Thoroughly sick of hearing his self-serving, feeling-sorry-for-himself, contradictory drivel.

Player injuries
Will play better when they return
Returning players not up to fitness
Changing lineup because of the number of games not helping
Fixture congestion
Having to play young kids
Mole in the camp

It's a rinse and repeat number of excuses rehashed to fit the result.

He's toast, and he knows it, Europa League win or not.

Listening to the post match interviews it seems he equates possession with success. It's as if given a choice between dominating the ball and winning the game he would rather dominate time of possession.

It's about long term vision and building a successful team.

The other team cannot score if you have the ball.

Spurs have been repeatedly let down by individual errors, and inexperienced players have been exposed.

The quality of the squad is poor.

Ange's ship has sailed. We look set to lose Bentencuar, Romero and Porro in the summer; and Barca's scouts are watching Bergvall. City want Madison and Kulu is wanted in Italy. Dragusin has wanted out for quite some time, and Sarr is admired in Spain.

How do expect the next coach to perform?

Season after season we have a squad that doesn't match fans expectations....and every time we call for the head of the coach.

Just a second in into his presser sound bites irritated me. He keeps changing his tune after every milestones he failed. No one instance have I heard he got it wrong. Always an excuse. We fans know how much the semi final of a European Cup is to us. Stop reminding us. The more he keeps doing it, the more we feel shit about him for ending our League Cup and FA Cup run.

And fuck all the pundits, media and whosoever keep saying he deserves a 3rd season. He has fucking overstayed. His narcissism is worse than Mourinho and Conte.

You can't choose a manager whose credibility is based on a very successful stint at Celtic, every manager/coach is successful at Celtic. They won their mm league 14 out of the last 15. It was a surprise at the time when they choose him.

Anyone remember that very strange comment he made some time ago?
Something about if he made a substitution and we got something out of the game we wouldn't have deserved it and he didn't want that.
The bloke is a basket case.

Yeah, his embargoed comments are very strange too. A lot of self preservation going on now and using the EL for that. I don’t remember Poch coming out with so much nonsense before the CL semis, but then again we weren’t 16th or whatever in the league having lost nearly 20 games.

Can’t wait for him to leave now at the end of the season. They can’t keep him.

Fat old bloke needed who is shit at his job , call me Daniel I’m available

You realise only one of those players will end up leaving don't you

Tbf the full quote started with him saying he wasn’t talking about himself but the narrative around the club is always set up to fail.

And that’s a stone cold fact.

It’s so ingrained into the conversation around the club that it’s become a culture and probably even an unconscious one half the time.

But even by mentioning it he is pushing it.

That narrative won’t change all while Enic own us…..unless that’s what he really means?

True and that's fair.

I think we're a comfort zone. Probably the most comfortable of all zones. The facilities are definitely world class and the wages are decent, but the expectations are essentially 'try your best'.

And now we have a manager, who according to Djed Spence, allows them to fail on the pitch without criticism because if they do it’s because he’s asked them to play in a certain way (that doesn’t work) so it’s on him. Then we wonder why the players don’t really look bothered!

Get Poch back in, get them walking on hot coals in training with an arrow at their throats and toughen them up. The only time any of what you say didn’t seem true was when he was here. Let him try and turn this lot into warriors, get rid of those who won’t, and get them facing some responsibility like men.

I’ll be honest, it does lose weight to mention it when you aren’t winning but I’ll take it that at least one Spurs manager is bringing it into the open.

Makes it easier for future coaches to speak about it now that it’s been said.

And Ange is now guilty of it. You can see that culture of this club reflected in the shift in his comments since arriving.

He came here season 1 saying he didn’t want to put a ceiling on our ambitions when asked about top 4 and that his goal wasn’t just top 4.

Now he’s talking about 5th last season shouldn’t be seen as failure…

I’m 100% behind any Spurs manager talking about the narrative around this club being set up for a fall but you can’t then talk about not winning things being a success because you finished 5th.

Levy clearly didn’t think 5th was failure last year and that’s the problem with this club internally

He's right but saying it now just sounds like excuses, ain't no-one trying to hear that when you've lost 18 matches this season because you're essentially part of the problem.

Everyone gets brow beaten down by Levy and his lack of ambition eventually so I can’t blame Ange for that.
