Yes and that should tell you Poch was never the problem. Levy was and is always going to be a massive handicap on this club.

He did have a team good enough to win those but for whatever reason he didn’t win them. Getting to the CL don’t make up for that or replace the silverware he could and probably should have won.

Nobody is coming to change it at that point. In some ways, the players may even play better to win it despite him if hes there. If Mason took the reigns they'll be confused as fuck.
Levy knows nothing about football but surely even he isn’t minded to stick with a manager who loses 20+ league games just because they win the Europa League.
Winning it is best for everyone, Ange will be vindicated with his “second season” mantra and can dine out on it spitefully for the rest of his career. Levy gets to add a trophy to the cabinet. Fans get to ignore the memory of this disgusting league campaign and enjoy the winning feeling. We get to politely say goodbye to Ange without having to lie asleep at night wondering if he will deliver another injury crisis next season and another 20+ defeats. Would any one of us really look forward to a CL campaign with him in charge? Just imagine how we’d fare if we had to play Bayern, PSG, Atletico etc instead of fucking Ferencvaros and Qarabag.

I hate when Poch is regarded as a loser - like you say we had a great 11 and fuck all else and in the CL year we had WInks and Sissoko in the middle ffs. He wasn't backed properly until it was too late and we then panic bought a few players which ended up a disaster.
The man made me proud of Spurs again and we were a top side for a few years who weren't scared of anyone.
