The most frustrating thing is that Liverpool lost a CL final, looked at where they fell short, invested, came back the next year and won it.

We lost a CL final, didn't invest, and spiralled into the oblivion we're in now.

It wasn't a vintage season by Poch by any means, and we were fortunate to reach the CL final if we're honest....but we were close to something great, you have to build on that. For whatever reason, Levy decided to go the other way...
Yes, but a year or so out. The peak Tottenham team was really 18 months before the Champions League final. The damage was done in our failure to invest from a position of strength at the end of 18-19 and to then decline accordingly. That is 100% the fault of Levy and the boardroom. They left the club short of funding due to their inability to get the Stadium project funded correctly and not over run.

He really has taken the soul out of our club. That was one of the most downbeat away atmospheres I’ve ever experienced yesterday.

The only song we could really get going was the Bilbao one, and I sang that with a bit of caution as this useless twat in charge is more than capable of setting us up to lose that semi final still.

Every fan I spoke to just wanted him out asap.

Still can’t get my head around how is in still in a job.

On Thursday the atmosphere was the complete opposite

Just like the players, the fans know the league is done but the EL is where everyone turns up, including the fans.

Who are you more focused on wanting out of the club - Levy or Ange? That is exactly why Ange is still here. He is a fire guard for Levy until the end of the season. Levy sacks him once we're out of EL (or have won it). Fans get excited about a new manager and the summer window. Optimism abound. Season tickets get renewed. Levy has another 'project' manager to keep the fans happy for another 18 months. Tills in the stadium and the club shop do great business. Rinse and repeat.

Basically, our fans are gullible to fall for this rinse and repeat nonsense every time, and since they won't change anything, why should Levy bother with a strategy that focuses more on the squad, rather than the off-field antics? In effect, by buying the tickets, the shirts, the burgers, turning up, week in week out, it enables Levy to by Levy.

The last time I saw Spurs play in the flesh was against Sheffield Utd - Poch's last game. I'm quite proud of that as Levy has barely got a thing right since then.
I've also not been since Poch was in charge. Initially was mainly due to work commitments TBH, but I would not go out of principle now until we're at leats going to try properly to win something by investing in the first team squad. All Levy wants is top 8 and corporate events.

People actually think The Fa cup more prestigious than the UEFA/Europa.

Stop arguing with dickheads

I'd love the EL. Obviously want us to get CL this season but honestly wouldn't be too fussed with a EL finish as long as I knew we'd take it very seriously. It's a genuinely prestigious trophy these days, with the nice award of CL football and you come up against some very strong teams.

Agree PL/CL is out of reach, and not something anyone should be expecting.

What does that mean in truth? When is the investment enough in your opinion? Before or after we are challenging?

I honestly think fans, like much of society live in a fantasy world, where assessments come after the event and with the benefit of hindsight.

And against Frankfurt home AND away?

IMO he has to go and WILL go at the end of the season, but he has managed the last 3 Europa league games well
He managed them well until Madison got injured
He refused to take the three goal lead and instead brought on Kulu, who has zero work ethic when in the middle and surprise surprise we conceded a silly late goal, let's hope it doesn't become an important goal.
This cavalier attitude of persistently remaining stubborn and refusing to change tactics , no matter what the opposition is his greatest failure and why he should be gone already.

He's more interested in himself than the game..
