You can't debate with Angefans anymore really ....

We play BADLY and LOSE with full squad and it's the players
We play BADLY and LOSE with a number of players injured and it's the INJURIES

I mean, why even bother debate???? I hope he just leave and take his fans with him.

You forgot the other excuse where it’s Levys fault because he didn’t buy Ange VdV and Romero to back up VdV and Romero.

He's a fucking moron. I don't believe for a second that he masterminded the Europa League win. If he had his way the team would have still been playing that kamikaze shit.

Kind of similar to the Juande Ramos situation for me.

Hopefully we get rid and some other Premier League team gives him a chance based on the erroneous belief he's a winner.
He isn't a winner at this level.

He set a record for defeats.

We lost 58% of our league games.

1 PPG in the league. Just 1.5 in all comps

You have to go back to Ramos to find anyone who's managed Spurs to fewer PPG in all competitions, and before that you'd have to go back to Hoddle.

We're 17th, and Ange's last wins against teams ahead of us in the table were in February, and it was November before that.

Yet he backs into this trophy, during a 10 match run in the league with only 1 win... and that against Southampton... but some people want him to start next season.

By the end of October, we had 13 of the 38 points we would earn over the entire season. 1 point in May. 3 in April. 0 in January. 3 in December.

This year was a fcked up repugnant display of football and anyone who wants him back for another in my opinion should be in a padded room...

The whole system really does rely on those two guys, doesn't it? 🤦‍♂️😂
Actually, I think those two just help to cover up the inherent weaknesses of the entire system. Without a world class CB and a speed demon, physical freak of nature our entire defense folds like a wet paper bag.

The thing with Ange’s system is that it essentially doesn’t allow for any room for error. It’s an amazing system when everyone is fully rested, you have no injuries, they’re all physically amazing athletes, the other team is willing to attack you, and everyone executes each play just right.

Romero and VDV are often just that good and/or can clean up the mess ahead of them often enough that when they both play we have a fighting chance, but the problem is really an incredibly naive system ahead of them that asks too much of everyone else.

Excuses, bullshit, the reinvention of history, more excuses, another dollop of bullshit, self-delusion and a few bits of reality thrown in, to disguise everything else.

How does not understand why there are questions about his future? Maybe it has something to do with the record amount of losses, the 17th place in the league and the fact that we didn't even reach 40 points? And no, the cup run doesn't excuse the terrible league form. Maybe a few games towards the end but obviously not all 22 losses. I would have so much more sympathy for him if he admitted the league hasn't been good enough while taking responsibility for it but no, as you say, excuses after excuses and he seems to have no problem taking almost all credit for the Europa League victory.

I'm actually struggling to find a TV series with a best third season.

E.g., Fawlty Towers only had two seasons. Prison Break's first two seasons were the best and the third season was shite. One could argue the likes of Peaky Blinders or The Sopranos or The Wire or Breaking Bad or Curb Your Enthusiasm had multiple good seasons but I do not particularly remember the third ones being the best.
I'd say The Wire S03 is the best of the five, Marlo and Hamsterdam.

yep! but you know what, hes taken his conman abilities far further than they should be in a sport like football! its actually pretty amazing. he obviously knows how many idiots there are out there that he can get on his side with a few words.

hed give derren brown a run for his money.
Derren Brown actually coaches the people that go on stage with him. I’d take DB. I saw him predicting where penalties would go in one of his shows. He’d be useful to have around.

It had to be this crazy club of ours, to have a manager who delivered a long-awaited title he said he would, can move his players and fans with his words and gift of gab but could also be sacked on objectively reasoned grounds.

I’m a bit torn myself as I’m tired of our manager merry go-round and have a bit of hope in me that Ange might have learned, but would not fault the club for making the change now if they have a good option available.

What’s most important to me is the bringing in of playing reinforcements, if we are to manage all our competitions next season better. If the uncertainty over our manager hampers this, that would be the worst scenario.

The problem is the chanting and banners will likely of kept him on too
For us Antipodeans who can’t get a sense of the local supports view, I was genuinely surprised the crowd was chanting his name.

Bias aside, I think he gets to start the season. He did what he said he would!
And look, none of us know what performance clauses he has in his contract but apparently he’s just earnt a 2 million bonus for CL qualification. There’s no way he gets a bonus and then gets sacked. Ludicrous.
