Shake it all about!
You saw the parade celebrations and the fans in the stadium chanting his name. Emotions are high right now. Sacking him within a week of the cup win would bring huge heat. This forum doesn't represent the general consensus. In fact social media and places like this usually finds the extremesThis doesnt make sense.
Heat from who? The way I'm reading from most on here is that there is a big consensus that he should go - so why would announcing him leaving bring him heat? Unless most people want him to stay??

Its not as if we are chucking him out on the street. 5m pay off and he has some kind of reputation intact. I remember that everton away game first half earlier in season. So bad. If the replacement we get is top class then its worked out for all parties.
I get not doing it today but how long do you leave it? We need to start making plans, preperation for next season should really be starting today. Needs to be by the end of this week at the latest imo.You saw the parade celebrations and the fans in the stadium chanting his name. Emotions are high right now. My guess is next Monday once they've a candidate selected and terms agreed. I think CL football would have changed the list of candidates too. People like Iraola, Frank and Silva have no CL experience so all of a sudden they become big gambles. Xavi and Glasner are probably the 2 that tick the most boxes. They've a week to let the emotions die down and nail down who their prime candidate is.I get not doing it today but how long do you leave it? As for the heat, he sacked the massively popular Jol at half time, Redknapp after finishing 4th, Poch 6 months after a CL final and Mourinho 6 days before a final. Fans will get over it and look forward as that is what fans do, apart from the ones that seem to support an individual and not the club but who cares about them.
And then in season 4 it will turn out that season 3 was a dream.“On all TV dramas season 3 is better than season 2” - Levy is going to be shot!
I think most fans are in the middle and don't have a big preference either way. They can appreciate that this season was mostly unacceptable but he did win us a trophy after a long wait. I think majority of match going fans don't usually take extreme sides on these things and are quite reactionary. So, you think most fans want him to stay?
If accurate is probably a stronger indication of what might happen IMHO

Agree on al your points and yes there is a big correlation between match going fans and online. I just think online can create a false narrative sometimes.Yeah, apparantly if you weren't in with the 15k in the south cheering for Ange after the 4-1 loss you are a virgin... and if you were backing Ange to win the Europa and beyond you had a low IQ...
Real talk though, there are prominent social media influencers who wanted Ange out in the past weeks and months regardless, and by the way they also had season tickets, and they also celebrated in Bilbao, so it is hard to tell if there is a difference on social media.
There were boos for Levy in the stadium and the majority of fans online have wanted him gone for years so again where is the massive divide. I think it is more about when and how to express dissent than the underlying dissent being there.
Point being I don't think it matters if you are stuck in a basement or going to a game, I think all types of fans are still split on Ange. The majority want/wanted him gone, or did at some point, but a significant minority are undecided or want him to stay and that indecision only increased after the final. Even fans who wanted him gone before the final hypocritically celebrated.
But I never believe the fans online or in person are right about anything, and I think they all have similar opinions. Levy appointed Poch with only 5% of the fan vote and that one was pretty good.
Most fans know nothing and are reactionary so it is not good for a CEO to just follow them over following a proven player recruitment strategist.
That's what it's all about.

Online is very different. People post their views and then usually stick to them regardless of new evidence. So you often create an us against them narrative. Oddly enough, most of our big social media posters and twitter accounts are overly positive on Ange and want him to stay. While the consensus on here is usually overly negative on Ange and can often result to immature name calling.
But they are both extremes. Lets say 10% who really want him to stay and maybe 10% who really want him gone. The other 80% might have a slight preference either way but they will back whatever decision is made and move on.

I wonder if he really was told that. I think it was more that he knew his one chance of retaining his job was winning Europa and that was what was necessary. It wasn't an illogical choice on his part.Oh but then he went to style of football even worse than Jose or conte. Especially if you play like that with our front 3 of Richi Solanke and Johnson. Not the same as having mane firminho salah who worked harder and were far more skillful.
