We finished 17th?? On 38 points ?????

Fuck me he’s not a prophet because he predicted we would win something and we did. He threw the rest of the season away to focus hard on what he knew was by far the easiest thing to win because the calibre of opposition is incredibly low compared to the Prem.

‘Delivers’ - guy won a trophy but football has been shocking for a year and a half and we’ve seen our worst league season in forever. He hasn’t delivered shit. The EL win gets him a thank you and a goodbye cheque.

I think the quality in the Europa this year was fair to middling.

Whatever that competition.however, you must beat them, and mostly we did. I think it's disingenuous to suggest otherwise or to in any way deflect from that achievement.

But you are right, in the statistical breakdown of the season, and all that needs considering is what basis does anyone have to believe we will do so much better next season, within a harder knockout competition and a PL that won't be any easier, and how bad must it get before the reins are removed?

Much of the noise outside of that is completely irrelevant.

Fuck him. Europa league win is great but is more to do with luck and circumstance than it is his own genius. Had we played in last years version we go out to Leverkusen or Atalanta or Liverpool. This was a weak year.

So sick of his striking gold being made out to be his genius. Watch us totally flake out of the CL miserably if we stick with him, because he’s not some cup hero, he just didn’t play a team good enough to do what top prem sides do to us.

I’m happy for him to dance around and claim laurels and act like he masterminded wins over prime Barca, as long as he fucks off and we don’t have to deal with the actual reality of his coaching.
I like you but I think you're being ridiculous tbh.

What do you actually bring to this board? is your whole existence to troll? are you actually Spurs?

I'm honestly being genuine. I get it you want a reaction but what is your overall goal? it's clear you have little to no intention debating but I don't think you fully understand how pathetic you come across.

Oh I'm terribly sorry for posting Ange Postecoglu content in the Ange Postecoglu thread :conteshock:

We have hired and fired many managers, but the outcome has always been the same - very little in terms of glory, and they get sacked. Now we have some glory, so we still do the sacking?

If that's the case, then what does the next manager have to do to make it to 3 years? Play attractive football and get into the Champon
Chavs have owners who will spend and buy players until shit sticks.

Woolwich have ambitious owners.

We have ENIC. A property company with a football club attached to it. Perhaps this is the only winning model under them, throw the league and everything to win a cup.

We saw under Poch even when it all comes together the club will pull the rug. This makes supporters attitudes different to Chavs and Arse. It’s all just a compromise.

If we get a better manager. Let’s say Poch comes back, 2 seasons we fix the squad and are back in top 4, will we push on or will we just sit under the same glass ceiling. An EL or an FA cup and fucking the league it’s doable. Going for the CL or Prem requires a miracle.

Maybe there was some luck for this but Ange probably made the calculation this is the only way.
On that basis, Ange did damn well to win us a trophy, working for Levy. Many have tried and failed, but he worked out what it would take i.e. sacrifice league placings. I would have taken it if you offered it to me at the start of the season i.e. a miserable league outing (but was only -1 goal difference, which is weird), but a cup and CL football next season.

We have to push on now, for real (not like under Poch). I think we all know that we need new players, and ones with experience, not kids for the future.

I thought Levy might have sacked Ange today if he was going to, then I remembers it's a bank holiday, so if he is going to sack him, then surely that's tomorrow?

Luck is part of the game. End of the day EL has the 4/5th downwards best teams across Europe and if they all performed badly and we won that is life. It’s a major competition with major teams and we won.

Southgate got the worlds best draws as England manager, we could all see he was out of his depth but luck is part of life.

Our best managers in the past 30 years won nothings Poch, Harry and Jol. Our middling managers Graham, Ramos and Ange picked up cups. Sometimes things go in your favour. And let’s be honest given the amount of shit luck we have had we kind of deserved some luck.

Like I said, I don't think you fully understand how much of a clown you come across.

"oh I love Ange"..."oh actually Ange is shit and he's the reason the players are shit"..."oh look Ange won and you were wrong, you were wrong, you were wrong".

You never post anything to debate its just to attempt to antagonise, get reactions, have arguments. Your opinions change depending on the discussion you are having at that particular time then it changes again weeks later. When questioned the response is always the same..."I changed my mind".

Oh jeez, how many times are you going to say this, 'you're coming across like a clown', 'you look really pathetic' blah blah

I
Do
NOT
FUCKING
CARE

You're the stupid one for getting constantly wound up by my posts and my content, just stick me on ignore, never you mind what I do or I post, we're not Internet friends pal.

Just worry about yourself and your fake ITK of Maddison wanting to go to Milan to pay with Emerson Royal cause he had 'beef' with Ange...focus on your debates with your fellow misery merchant buddies or something, looks like you've turned to the dark side with you being Ange in all of a sudden, didn't have that on my Bingo card in 2025 :sonpoint:

Anyway back to regular scheduling

He looks so happy here 😍

Him being linked to Saudi is strange too. Maybe it’s his agent trying to get him a bumper new contract.

However if he wants to try another country and Paratici can persuade him then we’ve got to go for it. He’s a serious manager.
His 3:5:2 setup would really suit players we have... One could think only about big amount of wingers that we currently have - but they are either shit or its easy to convert them into second striker (i.e. Johnson).

Ouch touché.

I'm not Ange in btw...think I've made that clear.

The fact that you quoted a post I made minutes after our club winning the Europa league and then saying you can go bed now because I reacted shows what type of weapon you are.

Who can fucking go sleep when your team has just won a cup and the antidote for it is getting a reaction on a forum lol.

Does anyone think we wouldn't have won that cup with Mason and Wells in charge?

And if not, why not?

Genuine question.
Depending on when Ange gets sacked in this hypothetical I would say under Mason

20% chance we blow the AZ home leg
25% chance we collapse in the Bodo away leg
40% chance we lose to at least Hoffenheim and give ourselves an extra round to get through when we were still injury-ravaged
70% chance we lose the final
90% chance we lose in Frankfurt

Because Mason is a dreadful manager that couldn't out-tactic a dead fish?

Not a fan of Ange, but there's zero chance Mason wins that

Gonna say it, people are being too extreme on both sides. Ange has to go, thanks for the trophy but he's proven he's not a good manager for PL sides. That said, Mason.... is not even that level, at least Ange is a manager.

I dont really care if romero thinks keeping ange may persuade him to stay. Sorry the future of my football club is more important than what romero thinks. Imagine if we had lost last wednesday. Easiest sacking of all time. We need a new manager period. Were in a position of strength hiring a top manager being in the champions league and a super cup to play for.

Why?

What is it that we would have lost that they wouldn't have been able to replace?

And what is it that they would have been able to bring that would not have been enough?
