I reckon we're doomed even with a few new top class players, if The Post is still manager.
We finish the season 10th and win the FA Cup.
2 trophies in 3 seasons, how would you look at Ange then?

Hilarious that this is dropped in at the end of a report that was actually about marco silva.
“Marco Silva in recent days had also received an offer from Al-Hilal, but the Portuguese coach declined since he prefers to stay in Europe for family reasons. Tottenham also moved for the 1977 class, with which there were some meetings. In the last few hours, however, the possibilities of Postecoglu's stay on the Spurs bench have grown” translated from the report.
Strong agree.
Also a coach with the knowledge and strong enough voice to say when the press needs to be adapted to the opponent more
But why would there need to be an announcement that Ange is staying? He's still contracted to the club and it's only normal no news means no changes. They could have already be making plans of new players incoming WITH the intention Ange is going to start the season. That's the default in an
Our coaching has been poor. Out of possession too easy to break through as not compact enough and some of our players have gone backwards, that’s on the coaching.
If Ange stays I hope Paratici is all on it. I know Ally Gold reported on how Paratici was disgusted with our youth set up and did a lot of work and we are seeing the results. Need to look at the coaching at the club and the medical.
Only time our coaching looked elite was Pochettino and Conte.
You know it’s gonna be Harry Kewell though..Strong agree.

It’s not always about coaching though. If you’re trying to impose yourself on the opposition it’s all about the confidence players feel to be positive in squeezing up. Guardiola is the greatest coach of all time maybe, but City’s press totally collapsed this year because players lost confidence and were not as aggressive. Our coaching has been poor. The Italian source. Must be Paratici
. Laughing stock .Utterly fcuking bo!!ocks club
Keeping Postecoglou in his role is just embarrassing but says so much about us..
If that is true then it was obvious, as I said you can't keep him all season to see if he wins the EL and then still sack him after, doesn't make sense.
Anyone melting down over this should have set their expectations really.
Good question. Europa League the following season - hmmmm. I'd look at him like this...We finish the season 10th and win the FA Cup.

I want CL.
Yeah, at a point this season every side we faced was letting us circulate the ball wide, the wingers would always turn back and play the ball inside to a crowded midfield where the opposition sprung their pressing traps and the ball was turned over and we would concede on the counter.True but I think some of it is more Ange’s wide wingers and inverted full backs.
We invert the full backs, this means our wingers need to stay wide and hold the width otherwise we stuck central. We don’t have proper wingers other than Odobert who is young and has been injured. Son and Johnson are not true wingers, as such we can’t create space and we lose the ball often and get hit on the counter with a poor press and a high line.
We can still play high line hard press with wide full backs and inverted wingers in a 433. This is how Klopp’s Liverpool played and we have the players better suited to this than inverted full backs and wide wingers. I don’t get why Ange doesn’t make this change as it would allow us to attack but be better fitting to what we have. I appreciate he made adaptions in the EL but we don’t need to play defensive all the time just adapt the attacking system a bit.
As for City Pep can get away with being stubborn because of his record and because City will buy him whatever he wants to fix that issue. Ange sadly doesn’t have that luxury.
Sorry mate, I'd just added this to my post while you were typing...We have CL this season and a trophy but you are still looking at him like that?
That’s the only way I see there being any success retaining Ange.Because they brought their own coaches with them.
Mason and 1 or2 will go now. Maybe takes one of the others with him, there’s a good opportunity to bring in some elite coaches to the team
