Hahahaha Villareal aren’t better than Bodo Glimt? Mate you’ve gone off the deep end FFS. Bodo manage to surprise a few teams and can be a tough nut away .. almost none of their players would get in to the Villareal team.
Frank would win the EL as it stood last season. I think that’s pretty much been shown. We’ve finished 4th in a much harder CL league and beaten Dortmund, Frankfurt, Villareal while giving PSG a half decent game. The best team we beat the entire EL run was Frankfurt!
Europe is so much easier. The EL is easy peasy squared atm for premier league sides. Look at the English results, lol.

All I think is that the right decision was made in sacking him, the problem is that we replaced Ange with Frank.

If only there was some sort of league phase that we could use to analyse it and tell who's better between the two teams?
Villareal managed to get 1 measly point out of 7, that isn't just bad thats uber shit and I have no idea why youre trying to cling onto this notion that they're better than Bodo, Bodo are just a better team than them. The fact that you cite players getting into their team totally misses the point of football being a team game, none of their players get into the City team but they still played them off the park last week.
And I'm not sure how you can be so sure that a manager who's never won anything would have won the EL, Frank doesn't have the know how or gravitas to get teams over the line.

Ange took the gamble. Rested key players in the league and focused preparations on the Europa League. Brave decision that he knew would cost him his job either way, and risked being a laughing stock had we been knocked out of Europa.
Massive risk, but it paid off - And Spurs are now in last 16 of the Champions League because of it.
With 15 games to go, Spurs sit 9 points behind the Champs League qualification spots. Injuries again are limiting the squad. Frank and the club may very well have the same decision to make. This squad doesn't have the numbers fit to be able to compete in both competitions. I'd expect that it will be very difficult to motivate the players to finish top 6 as their target - they will all be saving their best performances for the CL now. Get knocked out of CL, and many of these players will be looking towards the World Cup, and a summer move away from Spurs to play European football.
The test for Frank now is not in formations, set plays, tactics. Its down to his man management and getting players motivated and playing at 100%.
Anyone got a tabulation of all the clubs that were without a manager who passed on him in summer, and all those which have changed managers since Forest chucked him out?

Trophies are hard to win no matter what level. Proof is that we have so few. But then to diminish it because of an irrationally visceral hatred for the manager is beyond ridiculous.
