That's cristal clear, we are getting worse, if we are 5th right now it's just because the first 10 good games, currently we are a mid table team and we aren't improving in anything, if fact we are worse in probably everything compared to the begining of the season.
And he wanted to see some sort of process where we are improving and not give a fuck about top 4! He sounds sillier as the ganes went by! If he said something like “ of course top is out min objective which it should be for a club our size and we would need to kick on from there blah blah blah” I think fans and players could get behind that!

His got enough players in and ones who never stated under conte! Are you telling me he needs to have “his” players to get them to perform? What did he have one the first 10 games then? Did redknspp come in after 8 games and have his players? No manager is indulged that much ffs! He needs to coach what he has as that is sign of a goo coach and add some additional players.
i think a lot of people misunderstand what makes a good manager. you get the best you can from what you have. the last two managers have been fucking braindead which is why the football has stunk. weve had cunte using a system that gets emerson royal playing RWB and having him have all the time and space on the ball in the final third. then this guy wants to use a system that pins the oppo in and hes using forwards who dont have the guile to break it down and are made for counter attacks......how about a manager that just uses some fucking common sense.

It is probably time for him to go, and a player we should look to upgrade on.

However, he’s been a model pro and for that we should show him the appropriate respect.
This is the Ange thread so don't really want to derail but my opinion of Davies is that he's a very average player that has been here about 3 seasons too long.

I also think the spurs documentary showed us a bit about his character when he stated he didn't know why clubs sign players. I'd prefer a player like Danny Rose in my team who wanted us to sign big players over one that would rather we "gave players a chance" and remain an average team with no improvement.

I take back the "letting us down" part as he's not outright making mistakes. He's just a nothing player that cant be relied on if we actually want to improve.

Klopp finished 8th in his first season. Tbh particularly losing Kane Europa is ok first season. Was angry though thursday we let a shit chelsea team beat us.
Klopp also won a Bundesliga and Champions league with a team that wasn't Bayern.

Much like Fergie won a title with a team that wasn't Celtic or Rangers.

Those kinds of achievements earn you some grace

They also probably saw some level of improvement in their first season, not massive eye bulging shocking regression.

I think his comment about signing players was more to do about developing existing players through coaching as opposed to just making do.

I think you're worrying too much
I think I speak on behalf of the forum when I say your insight, knowledge, articulation and intelligence is second to none on here.

Now you have spoken I feel massively at ease Shady, a huge weight has been lifted.

You didn't even have to address my points or rebuttal them, frankly it's a waste of time for someone of your intellectual calibre, just a simple reassurance from you was all I needed to know that the future will be bright for the football club going forward.

I know everything is going to be...

Ok.

I can't be arsed to deal with wet wipes who think the world is caving in at every opportunity, sue me. 🤷‍♂️

I don't think you've delved nearly deep enough into why it's unravelling right now.

In addition to having poor forwards without the ability to make decisions, they also look remarkably untrained these days. Like all they do know training is free style passing and shooting. There isn't a plan. It's literally "get ball, score many many goal" like in the Ardiles days.
But, u like Ardiles, Ange has decent defenders. Who, so far as I can see, have been instructed to stand in the opposition half allowing anyone who can pass quickly (19 teams that aren't us by all accounts(the freedom of half a pitch to play balls into. Our only plan for that scenario is to hope VdV can catch them, because no one else is gonna get there, nor do they appear to even try to.

But it's OK, we could make the most of corners and free kicks at either end.

yeh ok thats how you perceived it but I didn't perceive it that way and the fact that Kane and Eriksen were sitting next to him and literally just blanked the comment was telling imo (the 2 players that would have loved us to sign better quality players and kick on).

He doesn't make blatant mistakes but he'd do what he did in the NLD. Back off back off back off...player in dangerous area...show him to his favoured foot...goal. Again no error as such but just not good enough.

Redknapp doesn't play a specific system.

It's motivation ball.

To be consistent, Ange needs to have the right sort of technical squad to execute his style of play.

Not really a debate tbh.

Must have technical quality in depth to rotate and cover injuries.

Once he has majority of talent in place that can deliver, then he's properly on the clock, for me.

But, as I've said, if he okays players that are Brennan-tier, from here-in, then he's on his own.

And it won't last long.

Summer is critical for him, and from what he just said, he knows it.

Can't ignore the demands of the prem and get away with it.

Best to accept and equip accordingly.

Why should you deal with them? I completely agree, they are beneath you.

Honestly, why can't they just see things from your perspective? We all know you're right so why do they bother even suggesting an alternative or airing concerns?

We all know that when Ange asks for a rebuild at the end of the season and wants all those players sold and replaced that we have all the resources that will fund and facilitate that given his credentials and current run of form at the club, it's a no brainer.

I have no idea why these melty wet wipe fannys are concerned that won't happen? Where is the logic behind that?

hes basically trying to copy pep by having VDV be our walker. difference is pep has wide players in the final third who have the ability to break down a wall. we have son and johnson!

him going mad at the midfielders is baffling, id love to know what he sees and thinks when he watches his wide forwards do sweet fuck all and actually damage his system when they get the ball. would love to know.

being married to a certain system means youre always going to get found out anyway. you have to adapt and move with the times. thats what being a good manager is all about. it also shows you are extremely limited when you have one system and thats it.

This is better that spreading your misery around the forum tbh, keep it up.

The main problem with Ange, and any manager really, is that our signings like Werner and Johnson still probably win him the league in Scotland and Japan. We pay 7th and 8th in the league with regards to players and expect him to win the league. Charge the fans 1st and 2nd in the league. It's just stupid. Then the media constantly say we are Spursy and bottle it. Bottle what? We're overachieving and have been for about 10-15 years.

Klopp had huge achievements with Dortmund before he came to Liverpool, he was a proven manager in an elite European league who had broken Bayern's dominance. Pep was one of the most decorated modern managers building perhaps the greatest ever Barcelona side and then won another league title in the Bundlesliga (albeit with Bayern so expected). Arteta was more of an unknown quantity but worked closely with his mentor Pep for years and had an awesome playing career behind him too.

Ange has done well everywhere he's gone, which deserves respect but the J-league, Aussie and SPL are an entirely different level. Look at what Gerrard - SPL winner - did with Villa who are now flying under Emery.

These comparisons simply don't work for me - there are far more obvious ones like maybe AVB who managed us or perhaps someone on a Brendan Rogers type level.

Again, I apologise king, I shall try to keep my misery in check going forward.

Anything in particular you would like me to change my opinion on that would make it less miserable for your forum experience?

Tell you what Shady, from now on, I will just parrot whatever you believe and think; we might even end up best friends? How amazing would that be!
