When will people understand that it's not the manager, but the players, and most importantly, the mentality of this football club? We keep signing mid-table Premier League players like Johnson hoping that they come good. Sometimes it works (Vicario, Udogie, Van De Ven), and sometimes they're a waste of space (Gil, Solomon, Emerson)...
How did Potter manage to make Brighton play good football with midtable players then? Just a question.

Playing good football doesn’t mean getting high time results. And the former is just what fans want to see at the moment, that’s how low the bar is.

As a matter of fact, wasn’t Postecoglou praised that he walked the Australian and Japanese leagues playing attractive football using average players?

It definitely is if you can see the flaw coming a mile down the road. What is Ange going to do? He’s never had to not play his football before and has never shown any tactical flexibility to solve any such problems.

Do you really think that is going to end well for us? We are a worse team than when we started this season because we’ve been figured out thoroughly and have a manager unwilling to try anything different.

The element of surprise only lasts so long.

He needs more than Two windows for God's sake.

Ange out they don’t believe in his tactics literally stopped playing for him .

So the tail gets to wag the dog then. When will we learn that if the club doesn't apply pressure on the players to perform then the players will always f off the manager. The club has the player's contracts in hand, not the manager, so the responsibility of setting the expectations of performance actually starts from the very top. We've had previous managers criticize our owners negligence but didn't anyone listen to Harry Kane, arguably our club's best ever player, when he talked about how he was settling into Bayern. He said it's different over there because the expectation from the club on the players to win every game is overwhelmingly strong. You must win.

I'm apathetic to whether Ange is the right guy or not. It doesn't matter who we hire. My club is pretending to be a big club. We are not a big club, we are a big sports entertainment and property conglomerate. Big difference. Fuck these wretched owners.

Right… the manager hasn’t done anything that remotely shows a lifeline sign of progress? The fans didn’t ask for much, just some decent football to look forward to, win or lose. I think everybody understands this season the hopes weren’t high and possibly they increased after the first 10 games, and then rightly so, if we play so well right off the bat, you’d start to get hopeful, no? Then the injuries happened and it was understandable results would dive, but now most players are back and instead we play fucking terrible. What does that tell you? That we’re going in the right direction?

So we play a bunch of games mostly against the best teams in the league. Admittedly play poor and then sack and start again. This short termism is why build anything. Ange’s history is he does far better 2nd season than season 1. If he is poor next season he will probably go but he isn’t leaving this season.

That’s what many Arse fans said about Arteta for 2-3 seasons as he hit a number of bad runs. Poch was and is a great manager but let’s say Ange goes, I doubt we will get someone who fits us like Poch again, that was a match of club, timing and style. I’d rather fail trying to attack than doing a Nuno and just defend.
If we saw the odd sign, a really great performance even if it was every 4 or 5 games then you could cling to something. But for all the talk of attacking football we aint half dull to watch. Its unlikely we'll find another Poch but i think we have to keep trying and i'm pretty certain it isnt Ange. We look really rudderless and the talk of new coaching staff just seems like real desperation.

Every big club does this. But the main difference with us, is we hold onto these dead end players for faaar too long! We need to be much more ruthless with who comes and goes

No he does not- we made that mistake with Mou and Conte, and will probably make it again with Ange. We aren’t signing elite talent and we aren’t a club that can realistically hope to win with managers needing certain special rosters.

Ange being coach next season will result in a mid season firing and we’ll lose at least either Romero or VdV the following window.

That’s correct about Ange and he got away with it in Japan and the Scottish league

PL a world of difference and I just can’t see it happening so let’s move on
