This was the league table after Poch’s first season:

This is how it looks now:

The similarities are quite stark. 4 less points, scored 11 more, conceded the same (with 3 games to go) there was no Pep, Saudis.

We’ve also equalled last season’s points, we’ve scored one less, conceded 5 less with 3 games to go.

Both those previous seasons had Kane.

My personal opinion, but we have generally played more cohesive and clearer identity football than in Poch’s first season and much more proactive, risky and front foot than under Conte/mourinho/Nuno.

There’s clearly tactical flaws. Ange has made some really poor selection calls lately and subs often don’t make sense. We’ve got a team with some really weak parts, and nothing on the bench.

I’m definitely not totally convinced by Ange, but I would rather fail taking risks than fail playing the type of insipid shite we played under Mourinho and Conte.
One of your best posts Blakey, nail on head.

These bookmarks are going to be glorious mate. I cba to save them but you already know there defo is posters on here petty enough to remind you of these next season ahem, cough Shadydan Shadydan cough cough

Digging Organized Crime GIF by Law & Order

Already en route to losing his bet and being wrong on 90% of his predictions on here, Rich Arlison is prematurely celebrating calling in the receipts and hoping when he’s wrong (again) nobody will remember these posts.

Because of the first 10 games. Since then his lack of tactical training, or adaptability has seen us first look bad when we win and now just get battered every week.

I genuinely can't understand how there are spurs fans, who have seen this play out that can't see it again.
He's done. He probably doesn't want to change it now.
Why do we just isolate the first 10 games.

If we spilt all our fixtures straight down the middle.

We had 3 more wins in our first 19 fixtures compared to our last 19 fixtures in all comps.

Not exactly ground breakingly different is it

That yesterday could have been so much worse. Half I'd say U got 7 players who have just downed tools and it blatant to see

Agree with this. It has been very noticeable over recent weeks that quite a few players aren't playing for Ange.

You only have to look at the sub par performances of pretty much the entire team, it is highly unusual to have so many players out of form / lacking confidence at the same time, and it almost always points to a lost dressing room.

IMO the players have lost faith in the project, Ange has alluded to it recently by suggesting the players have lost faith and conviction in the principles, and he even posed the question yesterday to the Sky reporter that 'am I the right man for the job?' which hasn't really been picked up on but I found quite staggering, even though he said it in a flippant way.

My belief is that Ange is starting to feel the job is too big for him, and is becoming increrasingly insecure about his position and he's starting to flap. On the touchline he doesn't have the demanour of a man who is in control of things, and he kind of stands there looking a bit perplexed and a bit of a lame duck.

I actually really like Ange as a person, and was excited to see him succeed, but as I've watched his management of the team I just feel he's way out of his depth.

I genuinely think this is a step too far for him, we are too big a job.

I know the Chelsea game last year has become a bit of a sliding doors moment and is becoming ground zero for all the issues, but I do wonder if that game was when the players lost faith, when Ange refused to change tactics and we still went gung ho, and I do wonder, is that when the players lost faith in the project? Maybe they felt we could have still got a result if we went a bit more pragmatic after the sending off. Instead we got thrashed.

first of all conte is irrelevant he was a past coach, second the players are half playing the system that’s why it doesn’t work and ange is pissed off. Third it’s obvious that we need a target man to play this system so our wingers has an option in the box along with our fullbacks. Deki and porro are not playing the system well if one is on the wing the other should be bursting in the box and vice a versa if not sarr on that side should be making the run maddison also should be making a run. Right now nobody on either side is making the run and our system is based on is overloading the box with options.

I am losing the Kulusevski bet for sure.

Will admit I was wrong about that. Not sure I’ve ever seen you admit you are wrong about anything?

I’m wrong all the time mate. But I’m not the one getting ready to pre-emptively rub in being right about something that you could very well be very wrong about.

Probably stay a bit more humble while Ange isn’t doing very well and at least wait for his renaissance to actually happen before gloating about it.

Gary Neville aka ratboy has begged the spurs supporters and board to give Ange a chance and give him time.

If that self serving Spurs hating tosspot is saying it then Ange really needs to pull his finger out.

Normally Neville is trying to sell our manager off to other clubs

Nah, where's the fucking fun in that?

He was saying that Man City would be looking at him to replace Pep a few months ago.

Pretty balanced

Conte was considered an issue because he never once gave the impression he wanted to come to Spurs let alone stay and build success at Spurs.

I don’t think that’s true. He was very clear about wanting to win and about what it would take to win. He wanted Bastoni and he got Lenglet on loan.

If we had given him everything he wanted, and I mean EVERYTHING, he would have brought us success. He always delivers when he is fully backed. We gave him Perisic and then asked him to make do with “clever” signings like Spence, Bissouma and Lenglet. Then when it was too late we gave him Porro.

Nah, where's the fucking fun in that?

Making yourself look a tit for the umpteenth time in a row is fun? Mate you had Conte as the 3rd best coach on the planet. Five minutes after that you wanted him gone.

I’m pro giving Ange time because it’s what we need to start doing as a club but am I fuck convinced it will lead to success. I’ve seen good signs and terrible signs this season. We’ve been horrific towards the end. Even the signings are a massive mixed bag.

Yeah, during our run of good form, that's my point.

If he isn't trying to sell our manager off and begging the Spurs supporters and board to give him time then that's a concern for me.

He's a self serving twat that hates Spurs and has proven that, he tries to sell off anything he considers a threat.

Got an example of what you were wrong about?

Erm I thought Bissouma would be a much better signing. I thought Vicario would be worse than he has been. I genuinely did believe in Conte after the first season and only turned a bit later.

I thought we’d be lower down the table this season too. Thought Pochettino’s Chelsea would 100% be above us, though I do think there are signs of their project catching fire.

That’s off the top of my head.
