I don't dispute the first half of the season Conte was sacked was a bloody hard watch, but there was so much unusual stuff going on. The contract. The friends dying. Him being ill. Not getting the new defenders he properly needed. It was doomed from August but we were still in and around there.
Every premier league champion has been clear principles that are non negotiable and must be stuck to.
Almost none of the premier league champions were built over more than one season and had issues like set piece defending that needed to be fixed in later seasons. You know that Ange never said he won’t fix set pieces, he said that he had bigger fish to fry in his first season.
Johnson does the most important thing for a forward, goals and assists, he will get plenty more of those this season.
Ange is the one who said his goal is to win the prem, I’m taking him on his word.
Conte had the squad he built fit and ready to play most of that season. Ange didn’t. Conte had Kane in his prime, Ange didn’t. Conte signed Richy for 60m, Ange didn’t.
