This really says it all, doesn't it?
In the space of 11 matches we only got points off sides either coming or going from the Championship.
And this is not the opening weeks of Ange taking over a team in disarray, it's a year+ into the project.

This recent transfer window was clearly more geared towards long term.
Which makes me hope levy sticks with ange and we can improve.
And yes, I realize the number of managers who can win with levy are extremely few. I think a total rebuild is basically the only way to do it.

Toney was old and had 1 year to go so the club wanted rid. Solanke was wanted and had years left.
I mean, how do you defend that? Or, more to the point, how do can a person claim we are moving in the right direction and the manager has a high ceiling, absurd to me and beyond any form of logic or reasoning.

The notion that everything is fine seems rooted in Spurs having possession more than in previous seasons. The goals will come if we play this way, it's believed, and at least this is a more entertaining watch than in years past.
We are punchless in the final third and all this possession doesn't feel as though it's resulting in the creation of good chances.
The entertainment value of dominating possession in the middle of the park when you aren't scoring at one end and you're conceding every week at the other is not terribly high.
It's simple math at this point, when you concede every week you have to score 2, and we do not pack the gear to score 2 goals very often.
"lost seven of their past 11 top-flight matches" That is irrelevent in my opinion. We had a terrible end to last season. No doubt about it. But that run of fixtures from Newcastle to Manchester City was brutal. Everybody knew the season was over at that point.
We have conceded one goal from a set piece this season. I think?
We have had a decent start to this season. Obviously not in points. But in overall play. We should have won with many goals against Leicester just as we did against Everton. The Newcastle match could just as easily have been a victory. Woolwich? That was a tough one. But besides the Coventry match (probably the worst spurs match I have ever seen) i think we look fine.
The worst thing that could happen now is that Ange gets sacked.

Yes it does if you don't know what that statistic is. For all you know-and you don't- Spurs could have more hours missed by key players due to injury or involuntary absence meaning you've kicked an own goal.

Just to add one final point on the injuries, I think the key point in that BBC article is that City had the fewest. To win titles its clear you need as many of your squad fit as possible.
I think this is where Postecoglou needs to reflect because there is a correlation between his managing and higher rates of player injury. It may also reflect on the backroom fitness and conditioning staff.
Its not acceptable if he or worse the corporate owners above him are over-riding the fitness staff, and the players are getting flogged leading to injuries. Its no good fronting up to the presser and lamenting "That's how things are going for us at the moment" if you're the cause of it.
