Weird place.

A couple of games back there were quite a few on here who ment we should sack Ange, because he was out of his depths in PL. Now, a few good performances later, the discussions are whether he is going to get hijacked by L'pool, Manure or Real Madrid. .
thier maybe some on here that blow in the wind, But many of us that believe we see problems in Ange's style of play, stick by Ange is not the man for us

Every team has its flaws, but ultimately we've been the better side in every game for the exception of 1.

For me it comes back to conversion. If we keep scoring 3 every game we dont lose. Aside from the NLD we should have achieved this.

You and the other Ange out merchants ain’t the fans this great Club warrants or deserves. Comments like this are put in place so you can say I told you so if a bad run comes. How a supposed fan would rather say I told you so than concede and say well I got that wrong blows my mind. The haters would rather be proven right than put their hands up. Shit fans

When I was younger (and even more stupid) I used to love getting on to Man Utd forums - pretending to be a fan - and gradually winding them up with my faint praise and general shithousery.

I hesitate to suggest that anyone might be doing that on this forum... erm... but I don't know how to end that sentence.

What was telling for me were the interviews after.

VDV: 'I ran through and knew that if I crossed it, someone would be there'
Brennan: 'I watched the run and knew where I had to be so was happy I was there'

For all the doubters on here, the players seem to completely understand the philosophy.

Really good performance.

I was a bit worried Ange wouldn’t adjust and that would be his downfall. A few slight tweaks and we’re getting so much more out of the team.

Hopefully the likes of Richard Arlison Richard Arlison are right. If so that means we’ll be a successful team.

Not sure which lines you mean mate but let’s hope the team keeps playing like how they’ve started the season because this is a beast of a team we are seeing start to develop here.

bus-conductor bus-conductor Richard Arlison Richard Arlison This is the type of game where you could say yes, we played well.

Credit where it’s due, Postecoglou’s got it spot on today and long it may continue. Hopefully more than 10 games this time.
Watched the first half last night.

Was impressed. Much better than the second half, second goal excluding.

Two players that didn’t get many mentions yesterday were Udogie and Porro but they were both pretty much inch perfect in the first half. At some point we have to start thinking about Porro as a defender not a wing back who defends. He’s a fucking terrier and I’m here for it.

Spence second half was also very very good btw. What a nightmare to play against when you see off Udogie relentlessly running at you, only for him to replaced by a 100m sprinter who has the tekkers of a winger.

Still loads of development to go in this team. We need to remember we finished 20+ points behind where we want to be last season but..,

That quote is what it sounds like when things start to click for teams. When your starting 11 and the players rotating into it, all know what’s the need to do and where they need to be instinctively, that’s a team “clicking”.

I could hear the click from Sydney.

Really important we follow that up at Brighton. A win there and it completely changes the outlook for our season and we'd be finding real consistancy, probably top 6 going into the international break. Last time we had a great away win at Villa we had the Fulham debacle 6 days after so probably best not to get too carried away at this stage even as fantastic as yesterday was.

I don’t even think Ange sees it like that.

Kulusevski is covering crazy distances and working his bollox off so it’s not like he’s not also a box to box CM at the same time
I think with the football he wants to play, it's easier to train the creative players to work hard, than it is to train the hard workers to be creative.

For me, you can't set up to dominate the ball in the opposition half, and expect a midfield combo of Bissouma and Sarr to cause them trouble consistently.

I was surprised tbh last season that we set up with more 4213 than 4123, based on the reports from his time at Celtic.

We're much more likely to reap the rewards of having all that possession with having 2 attacking players in the midfield.

I was really encouraged by yesterday's performance. It's vital now to follow it up - Brighton will be a test, Man U are obviously pretty dysfunctional, I expect Brighton to be better organised and have some more ideas about how to counter us.

I didn't waver but was starting to question him a little in how we setup, he seemed to tweak it after the Woolwich match and seemed to have put Son nearer goal and Destiny on the overlap a bit more which has helped us, also Johnson is nearer to the goal as well and Porro is overlapping a tad more.

The underlying numbers have been looking good all season, it was only a matter of time before it started to click.

I mean, keep in mind that those opinions are held by different people. I have never, and will never doubt Ange. And I’m confident he’ll stay with us, and win us trophies.
