I just hope any toxicity is aimed in the right direction. It's not Ange's fault he's out of his depth. He didn't appoint himself, after all.
It is his fault that he acts like his shit doesn't stink though, doesn't help himself AT all.
But yes, I agree, the finger should be pointed at Levy for yet another failure of an appointment, I mean, I said this the other day about who is at fault for all of this...
"First, the owners. They've had ample opportunities to establish a winning culture, yet they continue to fall short in appointing leadership that drives consistent results. They hired the manager, and ultimately, responsibility for failure rests with them, it always should.
Second, the manager. His role is to elevate the team, crafting a unit that performs beyond individual talents. This season (and the end of last) we’ve seen very little evidence of that synergy and consistency needed to be successful.
Finally, the players. They’re the ones who execute, and if they’re not delivering where it counts—on the pitch—then that reflects a lack of accountability and cohesion at every level.
In the end, this is a collective failure. Each group has a responsibility here, but it begins at the top but since we know nothing can be done about the ownership, it falls on the manager.
Also, just to add, Ange financially HAS been backed and provided resources that should make losses to teams like Crystal Palace inexcusable. Palace, before today, sat winless in 17th place. If we're serious about progress, these kinds of slip-ups, especially given our supposed squad "superiority", shouldn’t happen.
Ange has been given a capable squad, but "Angeball" seems naive in the Premier League imo. It’s a style that may thrive in lower leagues but it lacks the pragmatism needed in this league’s unforgiving environment. He’s tasked with maximizing our talent, but right now, we’re far from that tbh and that shows in the lack of consistency, at least that's my opinion."
What amazes me is that Levy has backed this man more than any of the last two coaches combined (Nuno excluded) who are both "Serial winners" lol, boggles the mind.
