Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

This is one of the best posts I have read on this matter quite frankly.

Also, I know this is irrelevant really but I don't think his hard headed personality and false bravado is doing him any favours with people who are on the fence with him.

I expect that if he led with less ego many would be a bit more forgiving towards him, instead we get soundbites that are just beyond any logic or reason and comes across as him being so far out of his depth it's almost like someone got hired from twitter to manage this football club (clearly that isn't the case but the way he speaks about these issues makes him sound like a moron quite frankly.)

He probably knows a lot more than the majority of us and you can't deny he has clearly worked hard to get to where he is but that doesn't mean he is good enough for a club in the PL, let alone one that is apparently trying to remain in the CL and win trophies (if our bullshitter of a chairman is to be believed.)

I just don't see how he has earned the right to remain here when you look at his current record, like you say, managers have been sacked for far less.
I don't know how he could have been more clear that he doesn't care what people that support him think when it comes to style of play, why you think he would care about people on the fence is beyond me.

Also, "he probably knows more than the majority of us" ... seriously?

Hes not exactly showing that tjough is he. He literally said it was going to be a battle before the game and picked kulu and maddison and left bissouma to be overwhelmed in the middle. Doesnt change a thing in away games which is killing us and our record shows that. Needed a creative player last 20 min they were all sitting on bench.
Sunday has a lot of people who did back Ange really question does he know what he is doing. Im one of them.
Its like the team isnt prepared for opposition working out how we play and add in a bit of physicality we are all over the place.Clueless

Maybe the lesson has been learned that continually sacking managers every 18 months isn’t the way to go?

Maybe understanding that it’s starting to look like no manager can succeed here if we sack him, so who would want to follow him in the door?

Not saying our long term firm isn’t a concern by the way, just trying to answer your question.

If we are hovering around mid table in two years time , should we still not sack him because changing managers alot hasn't worked either ?

We lose tomorrow ,to Villa, and struggle against Ipswich he'll be gone quicker than Levy can say Ryan Mason. Oh sorry they will front up that stupid looking human shield Lange, he'll say some BS about "coming in as D.o.f having done a thorough review he felt that great though Ange is his profile as a coach isn't where he see Spurs. That a younger coach better able to connect with our youthful squad was central to development. It's sad but as he wasn't involved in Anges appointment going into the window that synergy between D.of and coach was vital. Ange leaves with our deep thanks..Here's Graham Potter. Bookmark it.

Get these cunts out of our club.

Also, that last point is especially telling. Why the fuck have we, as a fan base, swallowed this idea that we’re only buying fucking teenagers and aren’t allowed, ever, to actually purchase a good fucking footballer in their prime?

What is wrong with us?

‘Oh, can’t have that. He’s too good. He’ll cost too much. Stop being greedy.’

Gaslighting bullshit. They’ve created a Beyoncé bellend dome and are milking us for billions and serving up total dogshit.

You talk as if that was always a foregone conclusion. It really wasn't. I bet you that if our cunty chairman had kept his word and our decision-makers had worked hand in hand with Conte, and had we won something or we looked well on the way to, the mad Italian would've stayed put.

Conte wants to have a say, he wants to feel that power, them responsibilities, that love...and he desperately wants to win. He had none of that here.

He left Juve after 3 years cause he'd spent over 15 years there between his playing & coaching days...and as a very proud Italian he dreamt of managing the squadra azzura. Left the NT cause their FA is even worse than ours and yeah Chelsea was also waiting with a big cheque. Left that scummy club not even 2 years in cause they screwed him over, as they've done with numerous managers before & since. He loved it at Inter and defo would've stayed if the board hadn't fucked about, making false promises (sounds familiar).

I sure ain't saying Conte is blameless, yeah his attitude can proper stink at times, but that notion he never liked us and was always at Spurs for a quick pit-stop, that's just not the reality. Levy and his gang of incompetent cronies broke Conte, who lost his shit big time and that's all she wrote.

I'll never ever be mad at him for them rants, having the nutsack to say out loud what so many ex-Spurs don't even dare think cause they wanna keep getting them free ticks.
Have you looked at Conte's managerial career? He never stays anywhere for over 2-3 years even if he wins.
That is just who he is. Same goes for Jose.

Real shame, when you consider the potential of this club and yet, they prefer to see us as part of a entertainment complex that was the plan all along.

Forgive me for not knowing, but who is Paul o Keefe anyway?
I think it’s fair to say he’s genuinely itk, but only to a minor extent.

Calls a lot of stuff that isn’t glamorous information - injuries, matchday squads.

He’s also called a few random transfers ahead of anyone else. I think he reported Odobert.

Must know a few people in the club. Sometimes goes on podcasts too, so doesn’t hide his position.

Unlike some of our team who, have been hiding their position on match days.

Knows all the teamsheets (whose playing) before they are announced and a lot of other bits about the club. Don’t know if he was a former employee or just mates with them. Other than Ali Gold actually has genuine info or at least did.

The nature of his posts suggests someone who is no longer as close to the club as he used to be and has a bit of an axe to grind.
