“A blip in a sequence of blips “ was meant to convey this is possibly more than just a blip .

Hopefully, not Armegeddon quite yet.

Let’s look to the future with sceptical optimism.
We are at the 'send a nuclear warhead into space to intercept the extinction level event asteroid' stage, so we either blow it up, or we die (not to be dramatic.)

The only thing it looks like Ange can 'blow up' is his toilet bowl so it's not looking promising tbh.

But it's "The Ropey League" full of Farmers and Carlos Kickaballs no?

I STILL don't get why we thumb our noses at it... Such snobbery has no place at our club!

I'm almost at the point where I they should allow one fan per week into the dressing room to give a heartfelt team talk pre match, JUST to try and convey what it means to support the club.

I'm talking tactics, just pure, raw emotion and honest truths to the players about just what it means to be a fan...

'Cos I swear none of them know, remember or care what it TRULY feels like sometimes.

I agree 100%, it's a great competition and it's wrong that we always act like we're above it, usually playing a completely changed team who have hardly played together, same as we do in the English cups and it usually always costs us. I always think it's better to start our strongest 11 players and if they are above the competition for the night then we should be 4-0 at half time and can rest players/experiment with changes for the second half.

That's are good idea about having passionate fans in too give a pre match team talk! Even if some of the players don't seem to care about the fans or the club they should certainly care about personal pride and leaving everything out on the pitch every game otherwise what's the point being a professional footballer?

This book has just become my Holy Grail.

Although I feel like he’s not really enjoying the moment.

In deference to drunk chimpanzees : enough of them with enough typewriters could knock out a perfect readable version of , say , Das Kapital ( in a variety of languages) . Given enough time ( which of course modern managers never get ) .
Just FYI this is a popular myth and has been long debunked

Fair point.

But the only team we need fear in the Europa is Yahnited . I’d back us over two legs against all the others . Just my view .

(We could get lucky in the Carabao , draw-wise . It could be a consolation) .

My gut tells me that AP isn’t going to be consistent/good enough in the Prem ( I hope I’m proved wrong btw) .

Go for what we can win , treat the Prem as training matches ( that’s how non Premier League teams do so well in Europe) . Focus on 10 or 12 Prem matches , do well in Europe ( ie win the Europa ) .

Finish 10th ( or higher). It’s irrelevant IF we win the Europa.

If AP can’t manage that : it’s time for a change.

Job Descriptions ; we’ve all had them.

I don't know I think athletic would hurt us with williams

If Levy takes decisive action though- he might still be able to save the season. Right now we're on pace for 10-12th place.
I'm not convinced that Levy has got his past mid-season sackings correct. Poch, Mourinho, and Conte stand out for me. I think all of those managers could have ended the season better in one way or another. Poch was still in the Champions League, Mourinho was still in the League Cup final, and Conte was still in 4th.

Right now, if Levy tries to save our season with Ryan Mason, I'm unconvinced we will finish better in all four competitions. Unless he has Zidane lined up, I don't know what goes through his head to be honest. Levy isn't going to be able to satisfy the next manager anyway. Anybody on this forum may as well be the manager, or even replace Timo Werner as a professionally paid finisher.

I don't think it could be much better or worse.

He was right in the autumn sackings with Jol for Santini, Redknapp for Ramos and Conte for Nuno.

Mourinho for Poch was just a monumental cock up. Agreed if we do change it cant be Mason for any longer than a game or 2. Utd have proved if you have the will you can get a good manager during the season.

Fair I didn't say I think Levy will make the right choice, or the right choice at the right time, but I do think it's possible a mid-season sacking saves us from dropping out of top 7. A better choice is it at least in theory possible. I think Silva or Iraola or even Potter would be able to provide it. Obviously it's all just conjecture until it is actually tried...

We just can't hold a lead, and unless we score at least three goals a game, will lose games and drop points. I can't see that working out for us well enough this season, and the club really should be aiming to do better.

I don't know what goes through his head to be honest.
The value of the club to a prospective purchaser. Surely we all know this?

Everything he has done - everything - is designed to increase the value. The new ground. The trianing ground. The NFL pitch. The brewery. The cheese club.

Exactly what has been designed to win tin? Sacking a manager a week before an FA cup semi? Sacking a manager a week before a final?

The cunt deserves something unspeakable that if I iterated it here would lead to a lifetime ban on every site worldwide. So you'll hve to guess.

Right now I hate him more than anyone I know. Fuck off out of our club you vile piece of shit.

His default take has always tended to be that true supporters support the manager and the team regardless of a rough patch. He never really wants a manager out until that manager in the media has his head turned elsewhere or thinks he is bigger than the club, e.g. 'Arry with England. To be fair he often acknowledges when his own views are completely different to the majority of Spurs fans - I think he just doesn't consider Spurs fans on social media that want Ange out true supporters of the football club or in the majority - at least last week. But yeah, I disagree with at least 50% of his views, but to be honest he'd just tell you to fuck off and listen to something else if you disagree with any of his opinions, which he will flip-flop on himself and forget. But I don't think it is an unreasonable position to support Ange when things are not going well, considering he also supported AVB, etc.

Do I get brownie points for being the first Ange out on the forum?

I don't listen to the pod, however, I'd be shocked if anyone thought that?! I hear it most games.

He would tell me to fuck off and listen to something else so I have lol podcast is shite. I get the support a manager piece to an extent but when do you draw the line and go actually maybe this k league and SPL manager actually isn't very good?

They've painted themselves into to a corner and can't get out of it ..

Flav listens to Angels before bed.

I don't know. There was a guy who genuinely offered to ban his own account if Ange wasn't sacked before Christmas or something. He said it at the end of last season and we all tried to talk him out of the unnecessary ultimatum.
