Madness how quick this forum changes in a few days. Last week it was just john thomas, davey88 and a load of accounts with Daniel Levy as their profile picture laughing at me for trying to find positives. A week later and its all different accounts on here high fiving eachother and no sign of the lads.

There was also a conspiracy theory accepted on here last week that I was shady on some sort of burner account. A week really is a long time in football!

Just a case of singing when youre winning. It's pretty typical of any fandom and I'm happily guilty of it too.

How dare you leave the site because you didn't want to read the same dumb cunts making stupid comments and picking fights on here, how dare you run away from the toxicity and have a life you COWARD!!!

You have a reputation to protect on here don't you know, I'm gonna mark you down some virtual TFC points and question the respect I have for you as a man on the internet.
Bugger...

I'm fed up with people on the street asking me about our managers, and not one mention of the real problem.

The lack of a cheese room…..

From Cowlin on X

Tim Sherwood on Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou: “I’m pleased for the manager because there’s probably a 50-50 split on Tottenham fans who either want him or amazingly want him out.
“It’s incredible. Shame on you guys for wanting this guy out. This guy, for me, is a breath of fresh air and what Tottenham needed.
“He needs results like this to convince a lot of the fan base that he is the main man. Give him time, give him the money, give him a few transfer windows, he’s got a clear identity — he will win trophies at this football club but he needs to be given time to be able to do it.
“The City game is a good, good reminder for a lot of those fans who ring up these phone ins demanding the manager out and saying he’s not good enough. Believe me, he is good enough.
“He is a top drawer manager who’s got different ideas to the majority of managers in the Premier League.”

Sherwood saying 'give him a few transfer windows' is a bit strange since there's been three transfer windows under Ange's watch already. And calling him a 'top drawer manager' is weird since his points per game are about the same as the other mangers we've sacked. He's gotten far too carried away over one game.

The pattern is still just about the same throughout Ange's tenure. The odd performance, but apart from beating Citeh we're mostly taking points from lower-half teams and not beating the better ones.

Was this some sort of a turning point? Time will tell. We all hope so, but one could hardly be judged harshly for being skeptical. It's the same club that was mostly in disarray at the first of the month.

The boys did great on Saturday, no one would dispute that. And for those who didn't put much into beating Citeh's weakened team a fortnight ago they now beat a better one.

It should still take a bare minimum of finishing at last year's position in the table to buy Ange more time, and we're not there at present.

I think all he's saying is that you need to have some patience and we will reap the rewards.

Well the news about Vicario proves one thing - Ange don't have much luck at all.

Fucking terrible list management by Lange and Munn. This was always a fucking risk.

Why should we finish above 6th/7th? Our wage bill is in line with Villa and Newcastle now and the squad reflects this - can anyone say we have a serious back up keeper, for one.

Daniel Levy is obviously first, second, and third in this team's list of problems, as has always been the case.

Any manager who is going to succeed at Spurs is going to have to succeed in spite of him. So we are eternally in a search for the man who can crack that code.

We had a great day, a famous win, it was one to remember. But scoring this as eternal vindication of Ange puts one too far out over their skis. The laws of physics are unchanged. It's one day of 38, and we've still no real evidence that Ange is any better at this than JoseConteNuno, who also got a big result every now and again.

Ironically enough, the last time we beat City under Conte the same thing happened with Lloris. We just got news on the Monday that he was out for months and we were left with Forster. Bentancur then got that awful injury and we lost 4-1 away at Leicester.

We always just get humbled straight away. Just the worst case scenario every time

,chelsea, united, city , liverpool ,ars have all spent more.
Remarkable how many of you will just lie out of your arse and make yourselves look like idiots rather than do a quick google.

Liverpool have spent more have they? They spent nothing this summer while we racked up another 150m on this manager.

Here's the net spend table since Ange signed:

2nd behind only United. In terms of total spend, again 2nd behind only Chelsea.

Now kindly put up some evidence for your claim that "weve spent less than our rivals" or fuck off.

There’s plenty of interest elsewhere so why not investigate the table yourselves. Courtesy of Transfermarkt, we’ve ranked the 20 current Premier League clubs by their net spend over the past five years.

1. Manchester United – £479.04m
2. Manchester City – £424.81m
3. Woolwich – £334.73m
4. Chelsea – £240.56m
5. Tottenham – £231.60m
6. Aston Villa – £221.24m
7. Everton – £219.25m
8. Newcastle – £217.32m
9. Liverpool – £199m
10. West Ham – £196.91m
11. Wolves – £193.27m

and our yearly players wages is 111 million 6th highest in the league .

Pep didnt transform City ,middle eastern sugar daddy oil money transformed City, City and Chelsea were allowed to spend whatever they wanted unlike Newcastle who cant spend the money they have due to FFP. Pep is a front runner coach he would never ever take the spurs job, but when the playing field levels up a bit due to some injuries we see the real Pep who doesnt have the answers . City were winning titles before Pep and as long as they can continue to spend big they will win titles after pep is gone . City have an annual players wage bill of 205million and 115 breaches of FFP ,spurs have an annual players wage bill of 111 million. Anyone that thinks Ange can come in and transform decades of losing and change the loser mentality in the club and its supporters in one and a half years is DELUSIONAL.
Spurs is a long term project because we cannot spend the money city and chelsea have spent.
conte failed ,mourinho failed . in his first year with no Harry Kane he got a 5th place .

Wrong. That money transformed City into a contender. Over the last ten years, ManU, Chelsea and Woolwich have bigger net spends than ManC. And Liverpool probably had a better team than City during their peak Klopp era. Pep transformed City into the best footballing side in Europe and most dominant PL team for the last few years. The definitely wouldn't be doing what and how they are doing without Pep.

Remember when he joined and their fans were bellowing "we've got guardiola" at every ground they went to. The fans knew, as much money as they already had, he was gonna change their club entirely.

I agree they could still have ended up just a money club mixing it with the big boys but he turned them into an unreal team. Apart from when they play Spurs of course

I don’t think you can judge Ange on spend though.

If he’s spunked that money on 30 year olds sure. Judge away.

He’s spent that on kids for the future. The age profile brought in is:

26: Maddison, Vicario, solanke
23: porro, kulu
22: Johnson, vdv,
21: dragusin
19: veliz, odobert
18: Phillips, gray, bergvall, yang
