Tbf I don't think you should take any results in isolation. It's the bigger picture reflected by the league table that's the only true and meaningful barometer.
That shows we've lost 5 matches already from 13. Over a third of the season. Our worst start since 2008. And whoever you aportion the blame to, that should be unacceptable to any Spurs supporter.

Why? We have self confessed Spurs fans who started following us because we had certain players like Hoddle or Gascoigne. They're still with us now. Same principle, but you don't find that bizarre. Different people have different reasons for why they started supporting their clubs, who are you to claim those reasons are bizarre?

Again, they have an opinion that's as valid as any on here. Who are you to put a statute of limitations on how long you have to be a fan before you can offer an opinion on an open forum?

As one of the main exponents of "we're all entitled to offer whatever opinion we have in an open forum," your hypocrisy is off the charts, but I guess you only stand on that soap box when it's posters slagging off the club that you want to "champion."

Brighton - probably a draw would have been fair as their first half was as shite as our 2nd.

That's the point though. Had we taken even half of the chances we wasted, Leicester wouldn't have had the opportunity to get any momentum to get back in the game.

If we're 3-0 up, do you think Leicester get even half the chances they did in the latter stages of the game?

If we were lucky to beat Sheff United, a team we had 28 shots against, 10 on target, 71% possession, then we were unlucky to draw with Leicester.

I am not even sure how this can be contested,

Unless it's us finishing 5th last season right?

Seem to recall you agreeing with a lot of caveats to that finish and a lot of results taken throughout two seasons to try and take away from the league table last season

When it's not us it's "what serious teams do, they find a way to win "

When it's us, "we were just lucky."

You'd expect to hear that from fans of the teams you'd beaten, not from your own supposed "support."

Yeah, and look, I don't want to dismiss the underlying concerns right now. We were not unlucky to lose to Palace, Ipswich or draw with Fulham - in my opinion, those points dropped were deserved.

But people should be able to take a smidge of a step back and have some objectivity about what constitutes a lucky win or loss.

Couldn't agree more.

I've said repeatedly that we need to improve our consistency, but that should come in time. There's enough evidence, both statistically and visually, to suggest we're on the right path.
