Dummy Feeling Dumb GIF

This place is as toxic as fuck, as if anyone would want to stick around in here when you got people throwing jabs at you and cunting each other off left right and centre lmao

Good to take some time out from here as well, everyone should do it 😎
I agree mate. I usually stick around and fight the good fight but it would leave you angry and depressed most days. Either I'm angry trying to stick up for players or management, or else I just read all the negativity and come away depressed.

There are some very good posters on here who can offer constructive criticisms and I enjoy them posts, as we are all Spurs fans and just want to find a solution, but overall its mostly toxic and there can be some nasty name calling towards our manager and players.

The bloke has 10 of his players out ansd school kids on the bench and people are calling for his head. What a joke! With all these injuries mid table sounds about right to me. It’s impossible to be near the top with all these player out.

I had a look at Chelsea, Woolwich, Liverpool lineups over the weekend. Each had maximum 3 to 4 players out. You take 10 players out and those clubs are mid table.

You should all be greatful that we’re not in the bottom 3.

If we stick with Ange and are top half come February, we will push hard for top 5 maybe 4th. 8 out of the last 10 games are very winnable.
We are only missing THREE automatic first choice players, though, and have lost countless games with almost fully fit squads.

The crisis is massive at the moment as his options are of course limited, but he's only really been missing his first choice keeper (with Forster proving more than capable a replacement) and our first choice CB pairing.

Injuries are not ultimately an excuse - we were told these kids were impressing and good enough.

I just think it's pretty lame that you're so vocal when we win, so opinionated, yet when we lose you ghost the place never to be seen until a positive result happens.

I think you need to seek a bit of help, if the first thing you think about when you wake up thinking about why someone hasn't logged into a forum then I think someone needs to el touchio el grassio :)

This thread is genuinely a parody, people get way too consumed by oneupmanship in here including me, can't be healthy for your mindstate, it's good to have a break man!

And of course it's much better to come on here after a win because we all should be happy or happier right? I don't see the problem personally!

There are no excuses but there are mitigating factors that compound things.

Injuries can cause problems, playing twice a week and facing fresh teams who aren't.

None of it matters though as it is up to Ange and his team to figure out a way to keep us competitive regardless.

For me it's more been about motivation.

Palace, Ipswich, Fulham we just looked out of energy and out of ideas, especially when against the more physical sides.

Brighton we came out and thought we had won the game before the second half started.

Who the fuck knows what is going to happen but right now would be a really good time to find some form.... we are insanely not that far behind 3rd.

It’s not about the quality of player missing but the quantity. Even if your bench players are injured, it puts great strain on the regulars. Mental fatigue is probably greater than the physical. To put in a performance against city like that would drain players. Problem is he can’t rotate those players out. I believe this is playing a big part in our inconsistency.

Also early in the season the squad was still getting used to playing with each other. There were so many players in and out in the summer.

The Euros and Copa worked against us also. Ange’s style is very demanding and players not getting a proper rest took its toll on us more than other clubs. Romero is a great example…

Where did I mention Spence ?
You do realise Spence wasn't played by previous manager/s ? Im glad he got his chance, albeit under awkward conditions.
No you didn’t and apols for the gruff response.

But many of us Ange cynics have in our own minds been worn down (justifiably we would of course tend to argue!) by what we perceive as strange/stubborn decisions, tactics, comments and behaviour.
It’s not a knee jerk reaction. But an element of impatience? - well we’re spurs fans so undeniably!!

Anyway, personally I found his neglect of Spence particularly baffling and obstinate. He was a shining light pre season and was our best player vs Coventry - but didn’t have a sniff again until last night. CONTINUALLY favouring Archie over him as a back up RB just didn’t make sense and last night showed why.
As for leaving Spence out the Europa squad, many of us were baffled at the time and again that doesn’t appear to be misplaced.
N.B. Yes I’m aware his attitude behind the scenes has not been great - but I’ve heard the same about Ange as well.

We all want Ange to succeed. Some of the football last night in the 1st half was beautiful but we’ve seen this script before and if any team played into our hands, it was surely Southampton. They were abysmal and allowed us so much space behind them.

Yet again, after a result (and performance) such as this, we wait to see if we can build on it.

Noticing that you've posted after a hiatus doesn't exactly require much effort..especially as you intentionally posted your initial post to make that point.

Out of curiosity...ill ask you the same question ive asked Richard Arlison Richard Arlison

do you go to games ?

Think you're underestimating the situation a bit
saying he's only missing 3 starters. we're playing 3 games a week and it's taking a massive toll on their energy levels. if we had all our players available son, Solanke, kulu wouldnt be getting run into the ground for starters.

dropped points away in glasgow partly because we cant keep playing solanke, if Richie was fit it would be different.
Bissouma's form dropped off a cliff but without Bentancur he cant be replaced or challenged. 'Having to play davies so much cause there's no one else brings a long term injury, Brennan johnson has had it easy with the option to replace with no Oderbert or Moore and he's dropped of a cliff too, there's no one on the bench to push people, it all has a massive knock on effect leading to patchy form
how often have had to bring on Timo werner to try and change things when it's going against us? im sure we'd be on a lot more points if we were bringing on Bentancur, Odobert, and Richarlison

This is what keeps happening. We get a very good win, that is to be enjoyed.. But all previous flaws, mistakes and terrible performances in the eyes of many become washed away. The attitude should be.. "very good. Onto the next one. Lets get some kind of run going finally". Not talking about the Postecoglou doubters as though they're the galactic empire that you've just heroically taken down because we beat Southampton.

We could lose to Man Utd, Liverpool and Forest (Which I'm not necessarily predicting). But then beat Wolves and the same thing will happen again.
This is an excellent post and perfectly articulates my thoughts.

While I’m always delighted to see us dominate and secure a convincing win, it’s hard to escape the feeling of déjà vu. Time and again, a standout performance raises hopes that we’ve finally turned a corner, only for those hopes to be dashed when consistency fails to follow, it’s hard to get excited knowing what is potentially around the corner and I guess it’s up to the manager to convince the doubters that won’t be the case.

For me, true progress isn’t measured by isolated victories but by the ability to sustain a winning run. Until we manage to string together more than two strong performances (which hasn’t been the case all season) I won’t let myself get carried away. As we saw after beating City and Villa, one good game can lift the spirits, but consistency is where real change begins—and we’re still waiting for that this season.

I think sections of this fanbase are just permanently damaged they'll just moan and cry at everything, nothing will ever be good enough for them - i just block out the noise now.

The same fans who want the manager sacked are gonna be moaning at the next manager when he goes through a similar run, can' t take them seriously.

Football supporters are mental though.

Sat next to a fat bloke for 1 season who repeatedly told Gareth Bale he was a better footballer than him. Hated him for touching his hair like it mortally offended him.

I like to think he last saw his penis sometime in the 80s so was just a bit upset about that. Gareth just took the brunt of his anger.
