Sack the entire footballing operation.

Hoddle until the end of the season.

Exactly why we cannot sack him, no-one has the answer or any serious answers. :ange-lol:

Thank you for answering the question, gents

I still think it’s worth giving him the rest of the year. But I do have my doubts if being this open at the back is sustainable. But tbf, we are starting an 18 yo MF at CB against probably the best team in the world at this point.

That said, I can understand the Ange out people more. I think Potter is a reasonable choice as it’s at least a similar philosophy of attacking, playing young players, etc., but a little more control and sanity in defense. Similar to the Klopp to Slot transition.
What's the benefit of keeping him? The sooner we change style the better for the players.

Some people are sure that he can continue his trend of always winning something in his second year. We had a terrible start to the season and Ange was under some pressure. He bought himself a lot of time with that stunt but now that we have Liverpool in the semis, even the most convinced must be doubtful. In Europa league, we haven't impressed.

FA Cup didn't start yet and we could still play for something this season if we get Ange out. He was found against Chelsea last year playing with that high line despite being 9 men. And when we played against 9 man Liverpool in this fixture last season, we couldn't do anything. We need a fluke own goal to get the win.

Now, a year later, a lot of things have changed. Ange looking to get his first back to back PL win since September. The result is that we concede 6 at home! And had Liverpool been clinical they could've had 10! Do you really see any future in this system?
System won't work, we look like a team of schoolboys.
Poorly coached and lacking in any tactical set nous.
The set up is basically, we will continue to play our way whatever the result.

The most upsetting bit of this is the way the media and general narrative around the club is changing, and it’s the narrative Ange is creating.

Everyone used to say “Spurs don’t win trophies” and that was it. Now, pundits, other fans and all sorts basically just sort of chuckle at us and talk about how ridiculous we are, we aren’t even taken seriously as a football club now, because we aren’t a serious football club.

The last few games, commentary teams just do the whole “well aren’t you entertained? Great for neutrals!” We’re a footnote, something as a neutral to make your Sunday afternoon fun when your own team aren’t playing.

Now it’s all we hear “well it’s always entertaining here at Spurs” and yet we are going nowhere. We can hide behind injuries, but it’s clear where this is going. We’re a school team managed by one of the dads.

Of all the things I want this club to win, the hearts and minds of neutral fans is bottom of the list.
Now our own fans are buying into it, “let’s sing his name, it’s entertaining isn’t it!” No, it isn’t, I want us to be a proper football club trying to win things.

In the summer, we won’t have won any trophies but will get to some quarters and semis, we’ll finish atrociously midtable - some of our better players will go and play to compete elsewhere, due to being midtable we’ll attract an even lower standard of player as we’ll be shopping in a different store. The same fans will be wondering how it went so wrong all whilst singing the name of our competition winner manager whilst we go and try and turn over Fulham in a “hoping to be top half” six pointer.

The strange thing is he is absolutely burning his bridges with this doubling down of ever getting even a semi decent job again. I doubt any other prem side will touch him with a bargepole but If you are a championship side who wants promotion are you going to employ a guy that doesnt really give a toss about results or defending in general and just acts totally belligerent? Really think he has completely lost the plot.

One of the 7 or 8 richest clubs in the world should not be restricted to "well, who's available". Everyone who's not at one of the super clubs of europe should be available.

The fact that we know that its only Postecoglou, Mason or maybe Potter until the summer is a consequence of how the club chooses to act. Rather than how it should be.
This is the perfect time to experiment. Give a young promising manager a chance for the rest of the year. As you say, anyone with aspirations should jump at the club. There would be very little in terms of spending. What have we got to lose? If it doesn't work out, we have the entire summer window to find someone.

Here's the thing for me.

I was pretty numb the whole game and I'm still numb now. I don't really care what the media thinks or what other team's fans think.

I'm pretty bored of this club always being the running joke so nothing really gets under my skin anymore. Maybe that would change if we changed owners but maybe football would still find a way for Spurs to be the running joke.

If you want Ange out after we gave up 6 at home, I can't blame you but I can guarantee you it won't stop us being the running joke of English football.

I don't want him out for the same reason I didn't watch the Chelsea game. This whole mid-season injury crisis and drama/controversy cycle is really dull for me. For whatever reason, you just know there are certain games as a Spurs fan where you know you will be the running joke... Even under Poch we had the battle of the bridge and the referee of that game coming out later and admitting he let the game turn to shit to watch Spurs implode..

If I thought it was worth caring more, maybe I'd be "hurt" enough to want a manager change but honestly, I just think we may as well ride out the season for better or worse. we could finish 11th or even worse and so what? What difference does it really make to finishing higher if we still never win anything.
Every week people go off the deep end in positive and negative ways based on the result. Last week all was right with the world and this week the sky is falling. The organization has committed to this manager and style of play. Until the injured players get back I believe they'll have the same problem we all do of trying to figure out what part of the result you can attribute to the injuries and what part to the way Spurs choose to play. I don't see a point in changing managers until can say for sure if the system can work or not. I think I know the answer, but really I don't. I think we're just going to have go back to our seats and buckle the seat belts until we get through the turbulence. That won't be any time soon.
