Soooo we’ve upgraded loads of the squad but fallen to 11th.

You guys can’t have it both ways. Personally, there’s zero chance he ‘identified’ Bergvall or Gray for example. That isn’t his role. It isn’t any coaches role in 2024.
They are playing games hiding behind semantics. It's all that's left. It's obvious how talent ID works at EPL level. The stupidity in hiding behind personell is mind bogglingly silly. When X gets back it will all work...blimey. Till the football breaks X again!

He isn't shit about identifying players.I don't believe he does. Maddison was identified before Ange as was Johnson. He could have prime Ronaldinho and Nesta we are not winning a raffle with this tactical setup or system. Made point 100 times. If we were not playing the football we are we'd not be reliant in development team players, however hood they are.
You just said it was his decision to get rid of Dier and Hojberg to bring in VDV, Maddison, Johnson…

I replied to you typing this mate:

“Johnson, Maddison, VDV, Dragusin, in Dier and Hojbjerg out these are Anges choices”

Are they his transfer decisions or not?

Because I know for sure the Ange Out cult loves to beat him with the Johnson stick (ooh err Missus)

I’ll say that due to Ange playing offensive focused football requiring technical players & due to him being a long term plan, we have targeted appropriate types of players for that.

But he doesn’t get credit for specifically picking out players … Gray for example has been known as one of the biggest English talents for years, he wasn’t hard to identify. He cost a lot of money after starting for a top championship side for a whole season.

Managers might get a say at the end of the process but they aren’t identifying anybody. Nonsense to think they are.

I don’t really blame him either way for identification of players, I don’t think he has anything to do with it, I think he signs off on them though.

I can’t imagine for a second that a football manager who would say “There this young lad, plays in the Swedish league, Lucas Bergvall, he looks great, good technique, promising build…we should get him in”

Would also be the football manager to say “I’m not bothered about set pieces, they aren’t that important, I’m just not interested in them”.

Keep seeing people ask for context, and talking about injuries as if it’s the only thing holding us back. Just had a very quick scan…

The last time we won two LEAGUE games in a row? September.

Before that? March. Before that December, before that? October.

Since October 2023, we have managed to win two league games in a row, four times.

Honestly, the whole thing people keep trying to point only to have ‘goals for’ and ‘Liverpool are good though’ thrown back at them is this isn’t a one off, we haven’t had any kind of consistent form about us for a very long time. Scroll back through our results, it’s atrocious reading and begun a long time ago.

Yes. Those of us that are Ange out cite this, as well as the entirety of the 2024 results as a whole. Ange inners talk about injuries, high ceilings and the first ten games.

Those numbers for Ange ball with and without VDV/Romero are pretty wild.

It’s not even injuries we can’t live without, it’s specifically our CBs.

Makes the decision not to get more like for like CBs in the summer look even more annoying.

2 seasons in a row our entire league campaign gets derailed by the same 2 injuries and we didn’t fix it in the summer.

The early hype was unbelievable. He won 3 manager of the month awards at the very start. After that never even close.
Looks more and more like those first 10 games were nothing but a fluke. It was the remains of Conte's team. Still working but slowly adapting to Angeball. Now we've reached the endgame. The players know how to play Angeball and we're 11th in the league.

We had them fit for a large part of this season and last season and were absolutely hideously mid table results wise, but yeah blame it all on this 😂.

‘derailed’ - were already like 8th having lost like five games before a single injury. The absolute delusion some people cling on to.

I think the players see through it now as well
