I think Ange was a stop gap measure after some toxic years. I think Spurs will start spending for their new manager next season and on wards.

I really do believe they thought they needed someone like Ange to get some joy back and the supporters all back on the same page. A whole lot shit wad going on including Kane leaving.

No his style of play won't win the Premier League. It won't win the champions league either. It is though good enough to win the EL this year with the right team on the paddock. Spurs are equal favorite and I think they can win it.

That will be the happy Ange legacy if he's successful.

Dearie me... Okay you're right - he knows nothing about football apart from a lifetime of being involved in it.

Harry Redknapp's idea of tactical nouse was telling Pavyluchenko to "run around". Are you going to shit all over him as well?

AVB was nothing BUT tactical analysis. How did that work out?

Managers come and managers fail. They live and die by results. Pretending they know nothing about the game is just the most basic and pathetic form of fandom cope.

It really is as simple as this: his results aren't good enough. That's it. That's all you need.

All the rest of it - this weird obsession with downplaying our current injury problems, or pretending he doesn't understand football tactics - is just gilding a lily that is already fully gilded.

By all means - continue.

Rednapp has forgotten more about top level football than Ange will ever know.

I'm not aiming this at you particularly but I hate the idea that Rednapp was some kind of charlatan who was winging it for all them years, it's a lazy stereotype that is blanetly untrue. He was a great manager for us and what I wouldn't give to have someone like him managing us now

Harry was yet another in a long line of Spurs manager I never wanted sacked.

But I absolutely guarantee you the same people pretending Postecoglou doesn't know anything about football were cunting Harry off for his so-called "lack of tactical nous" - in fact there was a bloody chorus of them. This is what fans do to cope with results that they believe aren't good enough. Lol Harry was sacked by these cunts when he had us top 4

Just as Deuterz Deuterz wrote - ALL of these managers know way more than any of us could dream to know about football.

Lol if Postecoglou won the EL it would instantly elevate him above pretty much every manager we've had since Burkinshaw.

Not going to happen though is it? :D

Redknapp being sacked was fucking stupid .. an ego thing. He disrespected the club with the England stuff and we took it personally. Silly. It was obviously a lifelong dream for him as an Englishman.

I think he played up the Del Boy I don’t do tactics fackin go and run about stuff tbh … he obviously knew the sport. But yeah, compared to an AVB his in depth tactical knowledge (and interest in it) wasn’t there. Which has positives and negatives. I imagine a lot of players don’t benefit at all from tactical lectures and being over managed.

I think of it like any job managerial role .. the brightest, most knowledgable guy isn’t always the most effective manager. There’s lots of fucking football nerds out there who would be shit managers. They might be able to tell you every World Cup winner in order but will that fuck help them manage players effectively.

I don’t really know why Ange is falling short .. could be loads of things. I can guess. But ultimately all that matters is that he IS falling short - the results are terrible. That tends to lead to sackings.

Think England and Spurs both lost out from that period.

Never understood Spurs fans being angry he wanted his dream job. I did think we probably needed some more tactical strings to our bow going forward - but reckon England needed exactly what he brought to Spurs. That would have been fucking exciting :D

England squad was shit tbf. He’d have likely flopped same as everyone else back then. Load of crap in the team.

I was angry with the way Rednapp went about it, he wouldn't shut up about it for weeks. He should have made himself available for the job behind the scenes and told ENIC he wanted the job and said the right things in public

Business as usual for you on Christmas day then cretty?

Laugh GIF

Might want to have a word with Daveyboyhitlernumbers posting Darren Bent content from Talkshite then :cautious:

Maybe put an "angry" emoji on his posts or something...:D
I don't know who that is. And I'm not particularly interested in getting personal about strangers. I'd also take Talksport over X a million times a day, call me odd like that. Side bar your memory is playing tricks on you. The only person got Harry Redknapp fired was himself for his ingratitude after Levy sat in court with him and faced down HMRC. It had nothing to do with the fans. I know this for fact

Mate I've given him plenty of benefit of the doubt. I was defending him and fiercely arguing with doubters up until the Ipswich game.
Now I'm certain he's a dinosaur- he belongs with Redknapp and Roy Hodgson - football geezers whose methods were working in the past and they have been successful but they're past the point when they have willingness or ability to follow up on how the game is played and the modern PL football is unforgiving.

I’ll never blame Harry. He got giddy. A patriot/true Englishman. The England job was his Mount Olympus. He saw his whole career ambitions flash before his eyes.

He’d have sung that national anthem with tears in his eyes and hand on heart. Before losing 2-1 to Sweden.

asked a question on midfield balance and does he answer it? does he fuck! more generic waffle. yea, one of the best pundits at the world cup looool. anyone who thinks this guy has a clue is utterly clueless themselves. postecoglou must think the world is full of idiots like his fucking fans, its amazing he is where he is.

faith, believe, show what you can do.....LOL! all generic bullshit.

Thanks for digging this out. Yeah, he's a motivational speaker, that's not great punditry
