thats as tactical as it gets for him, a sidestep and waffle. Thanks for digging this out. Yeah, he's a motivational speaker, that's not great punditry

Pity Johnson can’t do the same, esp down the right wing.
I see something the other day, ange has 20 defeats in 42 games, that's fairly shit to say the least.
We can barely put a couple of wins together back to back, even with or without his first choice CBs and keeper.
It's the tactical approach that is the main problem, it's very naive leaving so much space for the opposition, but he won't change.
Ange will die on his sword if this continues which it will, not sure where this leaves the club if he goes.
He’s often seeing napping and half asleep so he can do half of that
Maybe I’m a bit warm from the Baileys but this was an enjoyable Christmas read,
I don’t fully agree with all of it because IMO Sport is about winning but it was a good read and made some great points.

OkWe weren’t entertaining against Liverpool (unless you’re a Liverpool fan) and we haven’t been entertaining at all recently so I find all this weird let’s pretend we’re sacrificing results for entertainment malarkey a bit of a head scratcher.
I guess it’s easier than justifying being a bit rubbish AND hard to watch. Which, for like 85 of the 90 minutes, we were.
I think that’s exactly what that quote means mate.I've always loved that Blanchflower quote but I think it's a bit of a misinterpretation to suggest he thought winning was unimportant. I've always read it more like it's not enough to win games by putting 10 men behind the ball, you have to win games by going out and beating the other lot. Look at the team he played for, the importance of winning in the minds of those players can surely be taken for granted.
Ali Gold didn’t write itSo now the fucking club through it's mouth peice are punting "it's not about winning" ffs just get out of our fucking club Levy please just go.

I like Ali gold, fine writer and seems like a good guy, but if he had been around in 1666 he would have reported on the Great Fire of London by focusing on how great the toasted marsh mellows were.
he talked (and talked and talked and talked) at the start about delegating. Experience gets swept out it seems so there is nobody to challenge the maestro and the revolutionary methods. the bloke hibs sacked who was the manager of an australian team, seemed a strange choice based on where he'd worked in management. it's the chip on the shoulder..'it's my accent isn't it (?)' bs and stacking the coaching staff with people connected to australia that is weird. Is that in the best interests of THFC?Wouldn't surprise me if all the tactics sort of bollocks were left for Mason and Jedinak to worry about and Ange's job is more like strolling around and shouting RUN RUN DONT STOP WE NEVER STOP etc Perhaps we are effectively managed by Mason already
last season it was all 'I'm a winner' . .. "YOU (the supporters) have got issues etc bs bs etc etcIt’s a meaningless distraction for the masses. A lame attempt at mis-direction. Entertainment is the false idol we worship now, not results. Never mind that we actually aren’t actually consistently entertaining, just keep telling people we are because we scored some goals.
Did anyone enjoy the Palace, Ipswich, Liverpool, Woolwich, Fulham, Bournemouth, Rangers, Galatasaray performances? Probably not. But we slapped nine past Southampton and Everton and bullied a broken United and City so look over here folks!
Even after the disgrace that was Liverpool - people are talking about at least it wasn’t boring. It was. For us anyway. We had about 5 minutes of ‘hang on’ and the rest was miserable. It baffles me how easily people fall for a narrative. Tell them we’re entertaining and they will believe it.
Mate we are very entertaining for everyone else. I get it now, that speech with zero tactics that was supposed to be so inspirational when Ange was Aussie team boss. "I want em talking about our fucking game, I want em talking about us" . He warned everyone, It's like PT Barnum, you can't take your eyes off the carnage perfect for Levy's entertainment complex. We weren’t entertaining against Liverpool (unless you’re a Liverpool fan) and we haven’t been entertaining at all recently so I find all this weird let’s pretend we’re sacrificing results for entertainment malarkey a bit of a head scratcher.

Said he was punting the crapola not that he had written the crapola. Hope that helps. People's comprehension is shocking.
